Mega Monkey Fun! - Learning about Monkeys at Monkey Jungle - Miami, Florida

We had no idea what to expect when we arrived at Monkey Jungle in Miami, Florida. All I knew was their tag line, "Where the humans are caged and the monkeys roam free!"
An incredible variety of monkey species are housed here in a unique free range environment. Aside from caring for their feeding needs, the staff here does not interrupt the social order or behaviors the monkeys exhibit in the wild. Visitors can feed the monkeys by using little cups and tubes, dropping craisin and sunflower seed treats to those monkeys that are able to snatch them up. This leads to an awesome, hands on experience for guests and an incredible opportunity to learn about all the monkeys. We spent over 4 hours here roaming the grounds, watching all of the shows, and talking with the keepers. Aside from feeding the monkeys, watching the Western Lowland Gorilla King and learning about him during his keeper interaction was one of the most interesting wildlife presentations I have ever seen. This place was a huge highlight for our family, and I'd highly recommend it if you are ever in Miami, Florida!
