When all is said and done and I appear before God: He will not ask me - did you teach the right things, but: did you learn to love? Not: did you know you were always right, and really tried hard not to say or do anything wrong, pat on the shoulder.. But how did you teach, preach, live, give and love. It is not about what you do but how much love you put in it.
Titus 2:7-8 “...in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.”
He is right: you cannot make yourself fall in love with God. And the question remains: how do I love God? Even though the first answer is : with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength, and in THAT ORDER.
2 Timothy 4:1-4 “I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths."
Then how do I love God with all my heart? One answer for me is: to lay down all my agenda’s and be ready to do anything He’s asking me to do. Now this ‘teaching’ will take a while to process.. Nothing ear tickeling about that.
If you believe that God is love BUT also truth, righteousness and holiness. you have missed something! BUT should be AND. How much father love tells his child: Oh child I love you so, do not get hurt at the dentist please do not go. Then after a number of years, what will child think about father love? He will reply with a toothless smile :) The justice and truth are contained in love. Therefore you cannot say: brother I love you, go warm yourself and do nothing about it. Therefore I Love Iris in all its craziness. They show crazy worship in Spirit and Truth and maybe also some human elements. But still maintain to live, love and work in Mozambique. “ If you don’t give up you win”. Starting with not to give up loving.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 “Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.”
1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

We love him because he first loved us! Get a revaluation from the Lord on his amazing love! Without it Christianity is just an empty religion!
