Another amazing video! Thanks again sir! I have a John Petrucci model that features the Piezo, how do you suggest I approach setting up a preset for the piezo sound?Maybe using input 2 on a row for Piezo only I'm thinking, are there any amps you suggest? or have you created anything that would sound good for this scenario ? I'd appreciate your guidance once again.
Does the piezo have a separate output on the guitar? Of not, I'd just use the same input. And try going direct rather than through an amp model. Just as some eq and effects.
It actually does, on the FM9 I did go on a different input similar to what JPs preset on the beginning of the video, do you think it would make sense to replicate that or to create a stand alone preset for the piezo ? I guess having it on the same preset would offer more versatility while playing live etc
Yes. The link to my Cortex Cloud account is in the video description. Once there (and logged in to your account), go to presets and search by name for this preset. Click the little download arrow on the right. Then when you go to your QC go to the presets download area and you should see it listed.
Owner of a JP6 with piezo, I wonder if it would be possible to put a line on your preset for this purpose. Cause I think there’s no way to put a piezo lnput on the second row with a split on row 3 🤔
@@davlavmusic7070 thanks, And let me tell you, you did a great job with this one!! One effect wich is missing on the QC is the mimic pedal to get this nice doubling effect with small changes of pitch…
I created one with a separate path for input 2. It's called "DL Petrucci Piezo". I did have to sacrifice the pseudo 12 string effect - the pitch shifter was acting weird when I tried to move it down to row 4. The tricky part will be getting the volume levels right which is hard since I don't have a guitar with a piezo. I made the output level scene specific and I'm pumping up the piezo scene. You might need to adjust.
Awesome video as always! Really interesting dissecting the to e from Axe Fx like this. I'm gonna try to do it with a Periphery preset really soon!
Yeah, the Fractal presets give a great design to use on the QC. Trouble is when they are using stuff on the Fractal that aren't on the QC.
doesn't sound quite like a JPIIC, sounds good but it lacks something idk, I prefer the jp models in the fractal or amps 3-4 in the petrucci plugin
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
That trick about using a crossover split to avoid pitching up the high strings is clever!
Thanks, it kinda worked on I think. Not perfect, but I think it sounds cool.
Thanks!
Appreciate it!
Hi! Thanks for sharing. You can quickly turn Off or On a block by double pressing it 🙏
Awesome preset! Thanks for the vid :)
Glad you like it!
Thank you a lot!
Really good thanks
Enjoy!

I'd try to put it in the same preset.
@davlavmusic7070 got it, would you reccomend a best suited EQ for this or just to experiment with all? Thanks again
Awesome video!! New subscriber here... is there a way to get this preset and use it in my unit? Thanks beforehand!!

Sounds great! Alex Lifeson?
I looked - it's just effects blocks. There's no preset to work from. But if I can borrow a friend's FM3 I might be able to check them out.
I think that was created by Cooper Carter. He has a video on it

wait a second... what program do you use to show the Axe Fx files? Normally the editor doesn't work without a hardware device.
It's called FracTool
@@davlavmusic7070 oh thank you so much!

Let me look at it. If I can figure it out I'll put a new preset up on my cortex cloud account.

Yeah, I ran into that with the Guthrie Govan patch. The closest I can get is to use a delay with a modulation. Set the time to be super short (
