EXO-K stands for Korean, EXO-M for Mandarin. They used to be 12. When the Chinese members started leaving the group, the comñany decided to merge and just call the remaining members EXO. Vocal and visual kings, nothing compares. 🔥🔥🔥
🙋🏽♀️ I have an idea! You should check out EXO’s Killing Voice. I don’t think the English subs have been loaded yet but you’ll get a great sampling of all their big hits (in Korea) AND you get focused & killer vocals. The only downside is that Kai is not present because of his military enlistment. Otherwise, 10/10 would recommend….it’s sooooo good!
EXO debuted with 12 members divided in 2 sub units named EXO-K (Korea) and EXO-M (China Mainland) which means : EXO made songs and albums that EXO-K promoted in Korea while EXO-M promoted in China Mainland hence the many chinese versions of EXO songs and albums. EXO-K was a full korean members sub unit while EXO-M had 4 chinese members and 2 korean members. unfortunately, after EXO lost 3 chinese members out of the 4, the sub units do not exist anymore and the last chinese member along with the 2 other korean ones reunited with the other EXO-K members for promotions (they were already all 12 together most of the time tho). hence their slogan being "We Are One, hello we are EXO" when they introduce themselves, because even tho there was EXO-K and EXO-M, they are still one group (of now 9). and what comes between K and M? L. so we (fans) got named EXO-L as L stands for Love, Long-lasting and Loyal. hope that helped!!
Ok. You hooked me. Going to your Patreon now. You should go all the way down the rabbit hole with EXO. Title tracks are all fantastic but it’s the b-sides that are untouchable.
This was my introduction to EXO back in the summer of 2014. I watched it, I liked it, and I naively thought that would be the end of it. But then, throughout that day and the next, I found myself constantly humming the song, so much so that I had little choice but to re-watch the MV...and then the live stage...and then Growl...and then Wolf...and then MAMA...and by the time I had finished watching History and What Is Love I knew I was done for. Nine years, one immaculate discography, and countless triumphs, trials and tribulations later, I can say without the least hint of hesitation that clicking on that thumbnail and stepping into the EXO-maze was the best decision I have made to date. You know it's real when you've listened to the same songs a hundred times over and felt the same awe, longing and joy on each and every listen - and that's me with EXO's music, and that's why they have been, are and always will be (as the bias would put it) my *Best Number One*.
When it comes to EXO the real treasure lies in their b-sides there are soo many but i would like to recommend their b-side 'Jekyll' from their obsession album the whole album is peak and one of their best
song was released back in 2014 and it sounds as fresh as ever in 2023. EXO made music not for tik tok trends. they made music for their generation and generations to come. proud of that
Yes, MVs are generally more interesting than lyric reactions, but for EXO-L you have probably noticed that live reactions are even more popular. We love watching them live. The martial arts expert is Tao, one of the Chinese members who left but still much missed. SM are famous for doing their MVs in a 'box'. You may notice comments of amazement and joy when the artists are 'let out'. Also 'skip it'! We're not going to skip EXO, replay as much as you like.
Thanks for reacting to EXO EXO-L’s are fine with starting the song over as many times as needed, we ourselves have watched the videos numerous times. So don’t worry about it. Fun fact: this MV is the first project in South Korea that use Gimbals camera. Maybe nowadays Gimbals camera is so common, but this MV was made from 9 years ago.
EXO’s vocals, choreography, and music is iconic. It’s never just about hype or what’s trendy. You could listen to their discography and watch their stages over and over again without getting tired of the same things.
So nostalgic, I remember the early 2010s when EXO and BAP were the hot topics! I highly recommend watching some of BAP's songs and from EXO MAMA is a must watch, it is insane fr!
In EXO's "Overdose" MV what you saw is that the members have been trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to use their superpowers to escape the maze. For example, in the Korean version you see Chen throw a beam of light, which is an example of them using their powers. Chen has the power to control lightning so he tossed a lightning bolt to Lay, who has the power of healing. Lay is the only one who could have caught that light beam without being injured because Lay has the power of healing and he can heal himself. So, the story in the MV is pretty much the members trying to summon their powers to try and escape from the maze. The box that D.O. had at the beginning of the MV was full of dirt. D.O.'s superpower is force, which is summoned by the manipulation of earth or dirt, and it gives him super strength, so he was using the sand to build his strength back up. The other members were also trying to use their powers of teleportation, fire, light, etc. In the beginning when you see the EXO-K members making that picture while standing on each other, they are forming their hexagon symbol, which is EXO's official symbol. (In the Mandarin version, you will notice it's different members.) The different sets you see, are thought to be different rooms within the maze, or maybe alternate realities or time periods created by the Red Force to lure the EXO members to them. Also, something to note, you see Kai in the beginning and end of the MV in the Korean version because he is the center and visual of EXO-K. However, in the Mandarin version you will see Luhan fills that same role because he is the center and visual of EXO-M. Plus, Kai and Luhan were each others' power counterparts as well. So, this establishes the connection between EXO-K and EXO-M. Kai and Luhan were supposed to have a bond that connected the two groups and made them one as part of EXO's storyline. How EXO worked back when they were split up into the two groups was that all 12 members were in both MVs, but the 6 K members were featured more prominently in the K version of the song and the 6 M members were featured in the M version. As you saw, in the EXO-K version of "Overdose" the K members sing the main parts of the song and they are the first group of 6 you see. (When you see them revisit the same sets in the MV the group you see is the 6 EXO-M members.) If you watch the Mandarin version, you will see the M members take over the main parts of the song and the K members are the ones you see second. So, even when the MVs look the same, they will always be slightly different because the members are assigned different parts in each MV. For example, in the Korean version, the EXO-K rappers (Chanyeol and Sehun) are the ones that are part of the rap section. If you watch the Mandarin version, you will see Kris, Xiumin and Tao are the rappers because they are EXO-M's rappers. Tao is also the martial artist of the group, so he is the one that does the flips and stunts in EXO's routines. And the main vocal parts and high notes are done by Baekhyun in the Korean version, but in the Mandarin version that part is Chen's because he is EXO-M's main vocalist, etc. At the end of the MV we discover that the maze has only one way in and no way out. Which I think is meant to represent and mirror the fact that they are saying they are trapped by love and once you are in there is no way out. The maze was also EXO's logo for this album and it is shaped like EXO's hexagon symbol. Although, in the song they're not overdosing on anything except love. As the English lines in the song say: "So bad, no one can stop her ... her love, her love (is) fantasy ... Oh she wants me, Oh she's got me ... Oh she hurts me ... someone call the doctor ... (her love makes me) overdose ... too much of your love makes me overdose ... too much overdose ... You're in my heart ... with you I can't stop", etc. This song is kind of a love song about how powerful love can be that it feels like no matter how much you try to resist it you keep getting pulled back in like a drug. However, for the storyline in the MV there might be a little more at play than just being drugged by love. Some theories say that the story in "Overdose" is connected to the story in their "Lucky One" MV. In "Overdose" the members get trapped in the maze and they can't find their way out. The red light represents the Red Force who have trapped them in the maze. It is thought that the maze causes the members to get disoriented and sort of become incapacitated so they are unable to defend themselves. The maze dulls their senses and makes it so they lose the ability to use their powers at full strength, etc. The theory speculates that sometime after the end of the "Overdose" MV, EXO gets captured or transferred from the maze -- or possibly moved to another room within the maze -- and brought to the government facility by the Red Force. That is why we see them in a hospital-like setting in their "Lucky One" MV. In the story in the "Lucky One" MV the members are drugged by the Red Force and they are being experimented on to discover what makes them so special. So, the maze is thought to have been created by the Red Force in order to gain control of the EXO members. As you can see, their "Overdose" MV establishes the fact that EXO are trapped in a maze, which is why we believe that several of EXO's other MVs are also showing them trapped in the maze and trying to figure out how to escape, etc. This storyline doesn't end here, it continues in several of their other MVs. As you are discovering, all of the stories in EXO's MVs are connected. We just have to pay close attention to every detail and put the pieces together. "Overdose" came out in 2014 and this is one of the last MVs where all 12 members are part of the song and MV. (Kris left the group right after this MV was released and Luhan will leave within the next 6 months.) You should watch the Mandarin versions of "Overdose," as well. :D If you watch EXO-M's version of "Overdose" you will understand why we say even though they may seem like they are similar MVs, there are distinct differences between the Korean and Mandarin versions that are important to EXO's storyline. Plus, I think you may even enjoy the Mandarin version of the song just as much, or more.
Thank you so much for the reaction❤️ Hope more EXO contents/reactions coz their definitely the best in kpop in terms of vocals, visuals, discography (in different genre just name it and they will serve it).🔥
EXO’s Overdose is still my best Mv & music to me even till now. The beats, transitions, sounds, choreo.. everything is just perfect. EXO-K’orean & EXO-M’andarin. At the beginning is 6 members of EXO-K , then second part is 6 members of EXO-M, then all 12 together 🕺🏼💕💯
@@Iriska151 Overdose is the last Mv that have all OT12 members together. I miss Tao tho, his martial art skill tho, the flip at the end, hurts him a lot. EXO-M version hits different too 🩵💯
overdose was my very first introduction to EXO and this was when DO became my bias and i just fell 9inlove with the beat of the song and the vibe the MV gave off aswell
they are the first million-seller in 12 years. can you imagine? before that people think "pretty boys never sell that much" and bam!! EXO came out. I love how every kpop idols respect them so much. Idols of idols.
Yay OG Exo! This is one of the ones that got me falling in love with Kpop back in 2014 ❤ so glad u finally got to one of their earlier songs! I do enjoy ur lyrics analyses but sometimes it's fun to just jam to the song and enjoy the dance
Thank you so much for the reaction! I always love watching people enjoy the group that in my taste is THE best kpop boy group ever. I suggest the guides by Cesar Oh and for a listening album, I'd totally suggest obsession or Don't mess up my tempo album! NO SKIP
IMO EXO's discography is immaculate. They never miss. They've only ever released banger after banger. I hope you can start by reacting to their latest album EXIST. EXO title tracks are all bops but the real gems are their b-sides.
You’d probably like Z.Tao’s solo rap stuff also. He’s the one who did the flip at the end of Overdose. These are old, they were still babies, but the vocals! Omg! ruclips.net/video/JKr9GU9emfg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/uJ0gpUfs97o/видео.html
You'll see a lot of box sets from SM around that time, 10 ish years ago. I recall them being kind of known for it lol. They still slayed every time though 🔥
I don't know but I enjoyed this reaction too much hehe~ Thank you!! I don't know about the others but the reactions to the lyrics of the songs don't bother me. There are even those who like to see the videos where they put which member sings each part. 🤔🤔..to get to know them better and stuff. 🤗🥰But do it as you prefer
EXO-K = KOREAN EXO-M = MANDARIN They merged into one unit, EXO. Their fandom name is EXO-L. Taken from the alphabetical order of the two units EXO-K -- EXO-L. -- EXO-M
At their debut EXO was split into EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K did the songs in Korean and promoted mainly in Korea and EXO-M sang the songs in Mandarin and promoted for the Chinese audience. So there are also Korean and Mandarin versions of the MVs for songs between 2012-2014. Even after EXO lost some members and consolidated as just EXO, they still include a Mandarin version of the title track on their albums from 2015 onward (although there is not a separate MV)
TEDDY!! You should check out EXO-SC (sub-group with both rappers). "1 Billion Views", "What a Life", and "Telephone" are all top songs. Personally, though, I think you might like Sehun's solo "On Me." I figure you have a million things yet to react to, but I miss seeing your EXO reactions!
Exo K is Korean version for the group, all korean members, with Suho as the Leader, Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, D.O, Baekhyun and their songs is Korean. Exo M is Chinese version of the group, 4 Chinese members (Kris, Luhan, Tao, Lay) and 2 Koreans (Chen & Xiumin) with Kris as the Leader, unfortunately all the Chinese members have left the group due to some issues, Exo L is stand for Love, is their fanbase name, why, because L is in between K and M ❤ Exo concept is so ahead of time and always fascinating to me
Just to give you a quick explanation what "EXO-K" means: EXO originally debuted in 2012 with 12 members in total. SM Entertainment wanted to expand more into the Chinese market as well, so they split EXO up into two subunits: EXO-K with Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai and Sehun, and EXO-M with Kris, Xiumin, Lay, Chen, Luhan and Tao. Both groups released the exact same songs, just with the difference that EXO-K did them in Korean while EXO-M did them in Mandarin Chinese. Between 2012 and 2015, the only songs that had all twelve members on them together were the title tracks for their studio albums. All of the b-sides and the mini albums were done separately by the two subunits. So there's a Korean and a Chinese version of every EXO song from that time periodt. This changed after three of the Chinese members (Kris, Luhan and Tao) sued SM to terminate their contracts. After that, Lay was the only Chinese member left. (Xiumin and Chen might have Chinese stage names but they're Korean.) So the EXO-K/M split was discontinued and EXO started promoting as one full 9-member group starting with Monster in 2016. They still released Chinese versions of all their songs until 2017 but now these were done by the same lineup as the Korean versions. So yeah, while this music video has all 12 members in it, the only voices you're actually hearing are the ones from EXO-K. And one more thing: Kris, who was one of those former Chinese members, is a r*pist and was sentenced to 13 years in prison in China, to be followed by deportation. He's a truly awful person through and through and I'm very glad he's not in EXO anymore.
EXO-K stands for Korean, EXO-M for Mandarin. They used to be 12. When the Chinese members started leaving the group, the comñany decided to merge and just call the remaining members EXO. Vocal and visual kings, nothing compares. 🔥🔥🔥

EXO-L’s are fine with starting the song over as many times as needed, we ourselves have watched the videos numerous times. So don’t worry about it. It’s your channel take as much time as you need, true subscribers will stick around.

The one who did the flip at the end was Tao, one of the Chinese members who left the group.
We do care about what you say 😊😊love the react ❤❤
Exo killing voice ❤❤
Always loving ur reactions om exo mv ♥️♥️♥️♥️😂
Thank you so much for the reaction! I always love watching people enjoy the group that in my taste is THE best kpop boy group ever. I suggest the guides by Cesar Oh and for a listening album, I'd totally suggest obsession or Don't mess up my tempo album! NO SKIP
IMO EXO's discography is immaculate. They never miss. They've only ever released banger after banger.
I hope you can start by reacting to their latest album EXIST. EXO title tracks are all bops but the real gems are their b-sides.
More Exo and Shinee u need to watch
Loving ur reactions 😂❤️
You’d probably like Z.Tao’s solo rap stuff also. He’s the one who did the flip at the end of Overdose.
These are old, they were still babies, but the vocals! Omg!

exo fanboy reactions are one of my favorites honestly
You'll see a lot of box sets from SM around that time, 10 ish years ago. I recall them being kind of known for it lol. They still slayed every time though 🔥
I don't know but I enjoyed this reaction too much hehe~ Thank you!! I don't know about the others but the reactions to the lyrics of the songs don't bother me. There are even those who like to see the videos where they put which member sings each part. 🤔🤔..to get to know them better and stuff. 🤗🥰But do it as you prefer
Overdose 😊😊
EXO - kings of k-pop. Nothing less.
EXO-K = KOREAN
EXO-M = MANDARIN
They merged into one unit, EXO.
Their fandom name is EXO-L.
Taken from the alphabetical order of the two units
EXO-K -- EXO-L. -- EXO-M
At that time they just had a basement and a dream and made such a bop
Thanks for reaction EXO,next EXO growl mv

thank u for reacting i hope u react for thier debut song MaMa its so amazing
Exo 12 are the best days of my life
At their debut EXO was split into EXO-K and EXO-M.
My favourite EXO title ❤❤❤❤ please do EXO ultimate guide
EXO🔥❤️

EXO Killing Voice reaction, Pleeaassee

TEDDY!! You should check out EXO-SC (sub-group with both rappers). "1 Billion Views", "What a Life", and "Telephone" are all top songs. Personally, though, I think you might like Sehun's solo "On Me."
I figure you have a million things yet to react to, but I miss seeing your EXO reactions!

Exo K is Korean version for the group, all korean members, with Suho as the Leader, Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, D.O, Baekhyun and their songs is Korean.
Exo M is Chinese version of the group, 4 Chinese members (Kris, Luhan, Tao, Lay) and 2 Koreans (Chen & Xiumin) with Kris as the Leader, unfortunately all the Chinese members have left the group due to some issues,
Exo L is stand for Love, is their fanbase name, why, because L is in between K and M ❤
Exo concept is so ahead of time and always fascinating to me
Exo - killing voice reaction pleaseeeeee
He's a truly awful person through and through and I'm very glad he's not in EXO anymore.
would love me some teddy grey lyrics analysis...
Please check out "Don't Mess Up My Tempo" album. The whole album are bangers.
At this point.. I am just dying to see his reaction for exo live performances .... Please can you react to them too ???
🤔 I think the flip at the end was Tau (sp?) one of the original Chinese members.
Next exo killing voice plzzzz
