Arsenal fan here… despite the poor defensive record… Burnley play great football!!! Good luck next year 👍
As a claret from the age of 8 iv cn sum ups downs highs lows we are a great team and will be back hold your heads high everyone at turf moor good luck for next season UTC❤
The table never lies at the end of the season, and here we are. We will always be a club that fights for every point, and some times no matter how hard we try, or what we do things just don't work out. I started supporting Burnley as a ten year old over 60 years ago, its ben a ride! We will be back up sometime, but to be honest the championship is a great league that is over looked by national and international media, because the PL has done a fantastic job of marketing and promotion. We go again, two games a week, local derbies, winnable league, lets go.
As a Forest fan, sad to see you go down. Good luck with next season and I'm sure you'll be straight back up.
So will you after Luton win next season and we score... how many is it we need to put you down. Haha!
Well 27 points (which is what we can get, currently 24) hasn't been anywhere near enough to stay up the last 15 seasons.
I only went back 15 seasons, as I got fed up. 15 seasons ago under Laws we went down with 30 points, but needed 36 to stay up.
The majority of the seasons, you need at least 35 to have a 'chance' of staying up.. usually more.
So yeah, 24 points from 37 games and you'd be crazy to expect anything but relegation.
Let's hope Kompany and the players (that stay) have learnt something from this experience. Experience is invaluable, hopefully we will be back stronger. UTC!
😭😭 Keep going Burnley we will get promoted again soon
In reality, relegation is disappointing. On the upside, the experience all the team gained is priceless because its a hard lesson is failure in anything. And that lesson in relegation will only be short lived but the experience will be long lasting and show them all including Kompany that they can use the experience to recover and do better next time. The drop money will be useful and another Championship promotion will be good for them. And let us not forget, it wasn't exactly the same Championship winning team that played int he Premiership. Kompany doesn't need to change too much to be fair, just the intensity and committment.
His biggest mistake was starting Trafford over muric, which ultimately got us relegated
The Team has grown and battled which is all we ask. Onwards and upwards Clarets and VK Alan Pace and the views will bring us more success. We will be far better prepared next time. In it together UTC
Great effort to get there, big learning curve being there. Can’t buy that experience for the club. Let’s go again VINNIE and co UTC
Respect 💚
Great performances keep you in the Premiership.
Not always
So sad for the team a great performance
100% back VK, onwards we go
🔴🔵✌️
Very difficult for the less wealthy clubs to compete at this level. That said, from what I saw here in the faraway land of Australia, Burnley were very unlucky. So many games, it was just the finishing in front of goal that let them down. The sad reality that goals win games.
🙏🥲
UTC
I am glad Kompany and his company are relegated 😀😀
😅😅
Get the violins out....jeez....monologue. Basically Mr Motivator isn't smart enough.
They weren’t good enough
WHAT TYPE OF BOARD DOESN'T SACK A MANAGER WHILE GETTING RELEGATED? TODAY PROVES SOMEONE HIGHER UP IN THE HIERACHY NEEDS TO GO IF NOT VINCENT. GOOD LUCK NEXT SEASON
The sort that plans ahead, sacking Kompany achieves nothing long term and is probably our best option to go straight back up
Let's be honest VK did not start with the same team that had him winning the championship. There were a lot of signings it took time to adapt, plus injuries. In the last part of the league they actually had good games. I think what is more important here is creating a club for the next couple of years, rather than starting from zero again.
Kompany's failure to secure key players from the 101 point winning team, poor squad selection and terrible new player signings all contributed to this shambolic season.
