@@Rexlent when should we pull for 5/6 star weapons or dont do that until late game? I've been playing the jp server but haven't been able to pull for it since im saving for the future s ranks
Aside of rushing story mode from the start, what is the best way to spend energy? Cogs or farming cons? Also what is the best item to buy on the shop daily? Thanks

I highly recommend purchasing the Black Card Bundle every month it's only $5 and gives you enough Black Cards to pull for every S rank and their respective signature weapon.
Hey, I'm curious about that, recently started playing. With the black card bundle you get 3k cards + 300 more right away, right? Are you able to farm enough cards just playing to be able to pull S characters? Assuming they only come through 60 pulls
Been playing JP for a couple of weeks now and I gotta say I absolutely love this game. Cannot wait for the global version to drop next week lol Thanks for the very informative video btw
Some info here are kinda outdated so I'll add some new ones and tips I've learned after playing for 1 year (at least for gacha-ing): - The schedule where 12 weeks for one S-rank patch is outdated, as updates from The Last Spark began to have new S-ranks being introduced every patch as opposed to the 1 S and 1 A alternatively schedule in the video above. This makes it basically impossible to grind enough BC for every release S-rank unless you have cash to burn or you've been saving up for a long time. (as of now the only A rank that is going to be released after No 21 (10/2022) is Bombinata (estimated date is 10/2023) That being said, here are my tips for trying to plan for S-ranks: 1st: I generally skip Transcendants as they need to be like SS rank to even be partially useful, and their use is pretty niche (you mostly use them in dead zones). By doing this, you basically give yourself another 6 week to grind for an S-rank construct. However, if you want a Transcendant because their gameplay seems cool or they look fire af, feel free to roll for them. 2nd: Research the meta and see which S-rank constructs are worth using. Of course, every construct has their own unique style but depending on your current roster, you may want to save BC. Do you really need Capriccio when you alr have a full Dark team? Should you really roll for Glory when you have like 3+ tanks alr? TLDR: Skip transcendants unless you want sum booty or cool gameplay, choose S ranks depending on current characters that you have of course i can be completely wrong so take this with a grain of salt : ). Happy gacha-ing!
Came here from a RUclipsr called Timaeuss (hopefully I got that right). And this was as detailed and easy to understand as I hoped it would be. Looking forward to more of this once the game is out. Many blessings.
The god of PGR himself has spoken. Amen for the video, thank you Rex. By the way, which Conscs would you consider to be best in slot for Qu ? Wu Anjun ?
I downloaded this game yesterday and I feel overwhelmed. I have no idea on exactly what I should do because this is my first time playing this kind of game. But watching your video gave me a little background on the games mechanics so it helps a lot.
but the guaranteed of getting s characters for f2p is at risk since total black cards for f2p can grind is 6000~/a month, 18000~/3 months while new s character comes every 3~months (15000 bc for guaranteed). So technically, you can get all the upcoming s characters if *nothing changes* . But if they sped up like jp server, which is 1,5~ months instead, then you'll either skip 1 or even 2 banners to get the guaranteed, or whale. You don't have to get every single s character since they are all legitimately good, but I would still prefer having the chance of getting all new s characters as f2p than skipping banners or whale. Ps: The math was done by the pgr community.
The more important question to me would be if there will be an accelerated schedule. I don't want to always be 1-1½ years behind the CN servers. Made me drop some games because they never tried to catch up to the main server. I give this game a year and will then decide on whether or not to continue playing.
Totally hyped. Thank you very much for these guides. Do S Rank characters get stronger if you pull multiple copies of them? (like for example NP levels in FGO)
Characters have a base rank: B, A, S All characters can go up to SSS+. The rank tiers are B, A, S, SS, SSS, SSS+ B and A base characters can get to SSS+ F2P over time. S base characters can get to SS F2P over time. SSS and beyond requires spending. And yes they get stronger per rank with additional unlocked passives and stat growth. Extra copies are converted into fragments used to upgrade ranks. You can refer to the spreadsheet linked in my description.
As a new for this game. My plan is i'll keep my BC for alpha S its okay but i think SS is standard for F2P here same like Honkai. and for team i'll choose S kamui as Tank and second DPS, A rank for DPS and Support, it's just for early until i have alpha. i dont know why i just want her XD Thanks for beginner guide playlist btw. easy to understand for new player like me.
From what i am getting from this. If i play enough to do dailies and weeklies in addition to the $5 monthly black card thingy. I would be able to own every s rank that comes out? Im from Genshin and thats not a thing because Qiqi and Keqing exist to ruin our pity. If you get the reference.
Oh, wow, many people actually said to get Karenina for the S Rank selector because her dmg is good, but I'm having second thoughts coz of your explanation 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
S-Karen is strong sure, but fire teams become mediocre especially in late game. I would however advise you to pick her especially if you get Nanami from the newbie banner. Otherwise Kamui is a more solid option, strong reliable and doesn't really become obsolete in late game so far.
Nice video for beginners I just have 2 small doubts: 1) Will there be enough Ticket pulls to get the 40 pity in the first 2-3 days or do I have to convert some BC to reach it quickly? 2) As an f2p will I have enough for both Lucia Alpha and her signature weapon?
1) If you want to hit 40 within 2-3 days then you'll definitely have to use BC like I mentioned. 2) It's hard to say as a pure F2P if you want both. Will have to wait and see how much extra tickets launch gives.
So just found about the game a few days ago and got interested to give it a try.. What should i be prirotizing in early stages to mid stages of the game?
I've only heard "rerolling not worth" everywhere but noone says why. I don't feel "you have to wait days for 40 pulls" is a valid reason? You get 10 pulls in 25 minutes so you can just repeatedly do 10 pulls until you think you had enough? What is the downside? Nothing (beside losing time, duh)? Maybe being able to almost get every character anyway is a better reason .. but keyword here *almost*. Getting a headstart in 10 pulls seems like a big deal in that case as well .. Also I would have appreciated some math on the 2 banners with different pity. Shorter pity = F2P choice is not convincing. Which one actually has a higher average consolidated pull rate? Guess I'll have to do the math myself =7 Still informative video but it's always a bit disappointing when noone presents any data behind their reasoning.
Can I ask few question? It's not something that will ask for some players but what about the skins or costumes? In every patch, how many skins or costumes will be released? Will it be like "Arknights" where every skins or costumes is limited edition? Meaning that once the patch pass, you can't buy it anymore. The truth is, I kinda like to collect it if possible. Oh and one more thing, from the previous server (CN, JP, etc.) does Punishing Gray Raven implement Battle Pass (or something similar) feature? And thanks for the tips! (☆▽☆)
There are some costumes that are limited but may rerun later, some like Lotus Daybreak from preregister has not rerun so far. There is no battle pass in pgr
I've been playing TW version for 2 days now (I can't wait for GL release so I help myself to try and play TW first). Seems like we need to catch up with the Combat Point requirements at the beginning. The Question is. What is the best weapon/conscious that we need to invest in? And to what extend that we need to invest it in so that it will not be counter productive in the end game?
No need to go all in on non-6 star consciousness. You can put levels into consciousness number 4,5,6 as they give ATK and DEF stat up to about Lv30 or 35. Upgrade further to your liking if you need more stats to clear the story.
Consciousness are really subjective but Eiffu is the one mid tier who gives you supercomputing mode on a 3 combo but with 30 sec CD or so. I have used that on Changyu for longest till I got a new dark DPS
You will be able to farm 6-star conscious pretty soon after starting so I won't suggest investing a lot on low tiers(especially 4 stars or lower). Each character has his/her own best 6-star weapon but you'll need to do gatchas for those(pity at every 30 pulls). You can generally make do with 5-star weapons but 6-star might be prefered for your main damage dealers(or whoever you like to play the most). Again investing on 3 or 4 star weapons is not suggested. The BP requirement for those stages is just a myth. They can usually be cleared with much lower BP(with some proper play tho) and just lvling up character themselves should be enough to get you through all the main stories.
Additional info:
1. STANDARD CHARACTER GACHA AND STANDARD WEAPON TICKETS (BOTH BLUE TICKETS) CAN BE COLLECTED OVER TIME VIA LOGIN BONUSES, WEEKLY BOUNTIES AND CAMPAIGNS ETC.
