Non judgemental doctor, explaining from the perspective of the patient, educating, no sell out ads AND somehow the only form of asmr I've ever understood 😂🤷♀️ Subbed
This poor guy is just giving up. He's probably got untreated depression. My heart goes out to him, he just doesn't care anymore. He's forgotten how important and beautiful a human being he is. Bless you sir. :-)
More like he needed more education on diabetic foot care. Most don't get told, hey gangrene and loss of foot and or leg comes from you ignoring your feet.
Depression is powerful and can be very, very devastating. There was a point in my life when I literally felt disappointed that I didn't die in my sleep. I was only 22. If you suspect someone you love is depressed but not seeing treatment, please do whatever you are able to do to push that person toward medical intervention.
Gosh those were thick calluses. You did a good job of trimming them down and debriding the centers of the calluses. I hope we get to see a follow-up on this. Thanks to you and your patient for sharing this video.
This shows the importance of staying in contact with elderly in your family because for him to be diabetic and not checking his pressure and have these on his feet like this are crazy and hasn’t been being maintained, also he also obviously need bigger shoes and some type of moisturizer
As a nurse, I appreciate your teaching methods. You were plain spoken, honest, and none judgmental. Good job and I hope your patient is able to keep from losing parts of his feet due to his diabetes. It is sad that the testing machine is free and the strips cost so much that most people cannot afford them, even with insurance. Keep up the great work.
I really like this Doctor, he tells his patient’s like it is and and try’s to get them to understand how important it is for them to take care of themselves...
I just want to thank you for taking the time to film this. First of all, it gave me the chance to pray for people with diabetes and I can see for myself the troubles that it can cause. Secondly, I always enjoy watching a doctor doing his job methodically and cleanly and at the same time I can feel that you care for your patients. God bless you doctor and all those who put their lives in your hands. Sincerely, Carly 💜
I was absolutely captivated by this video. I've been a nurse nearly 25 years and, even so, I didn't want to blink because I might miss something. Fantastic doc!
mfriedrich2012 So many diabetics are in denial about their condition. I’m a Medical Nail Technician and am constantly disheartened by the seeming lack of concern on many people’s part.
Wow this is something else. I love how you care about your patients. Some other podiatrist do not take the time to ask important questions like you do. I wish they had more doctors like you around. Thank you for all that you do and may God continue to bless you.❤🤗
I love your interaction with your patient through his treatment. I am learning so many things as you are teaching him. I have a son who is diabetic and I am always watching his feet even though he's 22 and can look after himself , I still need to see for myself. You are an excellent teacher.
I just love watching your videos, how respectful and caring you are of you’re patients entire health. I was raised to believe a doctor couldn’t actually behave in a respectful and considerate manner, and it deterred me from becoming a physician myself. Watching your videos makes me feel the call to return to school again! Just the best videos, thank you for posting.
Omg the last two videos were amazing. The toe with gangrene I thought there is no saving that toe. You did a great job. You are very determined to keep going as long as there’s hope. Many drs would just amputate. This gentleman could find himself in a grave situation if he didn’t come to you. I know it must be very hard to work with people who don’t take care of themselves. But you are very good to them. Shows you have a very kind heart 💜 you are very committed to your call in life. I will be getting back to you. 🦋🦋🦋
This gentleman needs to get very serious about his diabetes. I can’t imagine the pain he’s been under with that foot ulcer. It sounds like he doesn’t know how to test his blood sugar levels or it’s too much trouble. I soak then take a foot brush to my feet at the end of the day before I take my shower. I’ve never had foot issues with my type 2 diabetes. I see my primary doctor every 3 months, my Podiatrist every 6 months. I’ve so far lost 143 lbs over the course of 3 years. Knowing all that can happen to you when you have diabetes was enough for me too get serious about my blood sugar levels. It’s too easy too do. 🦶
I think that he has neuropathy cause anyone else wouldn't even be able to stand walking around like that. The pain would be unbareable. It happens pretty quickly when your blood sugar gets high and stays high. Your feet...and your life is way too important to not do something as easy as checking your sugar, and taking care of yourself...even going to the Dr. It's way too dangerous to ignore. I pray that this gentleman takes a more active role in his health. Check your feet people...and check your sugar diabetics, I beg you. If not for you...then for you loved ones. God bless Doc...keep up the good work. I love your videos...and also I love the way u practice medicine.
Good advice, from one who knows. Kudos to you and your doctors for learning how to take care of your diabetes and then having the oomph to get it done-- you will never regret taking care of yourself. I wouldn't exactly call diabetic daily self-care "easy", but it's certainly not impossible either. It can be expensive (test strips, medications, doc visits and lab visits) for those with no insurance, but the day to day management is just something that becomes routine, like anything else we do on an everyday basis. Not hard, just takes some discipline and some insurance benefits or cash.
My mom has type 2 diabetes also, and has for almost 25 years, and I’m glad to say that her feet are okay except for neuropathy. She has managed her condition, and I hope this man has learned something from this experience, and will take better care of himself.
I knew as soon as you began trying to scrape the skin away with that small blade it was going to be challenging. That was one of the biggest...toughest ulcers I've ever seen. Thank goodness you brought out the "big guns". It was like watching a granite excavation. Great job!
Every case is different dont be quick to judge. He could have mobility flexibly issues. Suffering silently with mental health. Been lazy is not the answer.
Yes it is. He nay have flex issues because he is lazy. His feet r a mess because he is lazy. He nay hv mental health issues because he is lazy! He needs to GROW up, be a man !!! He doesnt need anyone to take care of him! He is not some baby!
Not to mention the exorbitant cost of medication and testing equiptment in the US. Special shoes, innersoles, test strips, doctors and specialist visits not to mention the need to test, take medication, monitor food intake and practice foot care every day. It all adds to a burden that would be hard to get on top of let alone if a person has mental health issues, is struggling financially and/or doesn't have a good support system in place.
Yeah but it's cringey 👹 cause he's actually kinda destructive and it looks so painful. Dr. Sandra Lee, the toe bro, Tampa podiatry... They don't hound their patients about 🙅 taking care of the issue before now, they ask those probing questions to actually figure out a solution for the person. He's OK but very cringy with methods I'm out. ☮️ Peace
In educating the patient, you are also educating us viewers. I’m an ICU nurse and little pieces of information like this are always helpful to learn, especially since we seem to only focus on the more acute issues during patients’ hospitalizations. But maybe I’ll look a little harder at patients’ feet now and possibly prevent a future hospitalization for them :)
Omg doctor u have the most interesting cases on yt. The toe bro got his on show on AE. I think u may b next bc this is amazing. I like how u explain everything to us and ur pt. Great vid doc
I'm not judging anyone, but does this man have family that can check up on him and make sure he's doing OK?I know elderly parents can be bull-headed, but it is necessary .
It's wonderful to see this skilled, compassionate doctor provide such needed care and gentle education. I had no idea until I read the comments just how many diabetics are non-compliant. My dad was diagnosed with Type 2 a year and a half ago and has been diligent about checking his sugar and caring for his feet. He keeps a little notebook and pen on the dining room table with his meter and test strips to record the numbers and track highs and lows. It took me several years after my mom passed to convince him to see a doctor, but I'm really thankful he did and is taking care of himself. This video reminds me to tell him how proud I am of him and how much I love him. He's just now recovering from prostate cancer surgery and is, thank God, now cancer-free. We're now working on dietary changes and weight loss.
That was a great job, he needs more help at home with a nurse going through his diabetes mess and blood testing as he doesn't seem too sure of what he is supposed to do. Will you post again on his next visit?
Could be he's never been taught that taking care of his diabetes, testing, meds, doc visits, etc, is something he's responsible for and something that's not impossible to do. OTOH, some people are just kind of "simple" and they can't put two and two together and get four, until it's too late. Others simple do not have the $$$ to purchase testing supplies and see the doctors as often as necessary. I hope that whatever his reasons for not taking care of himself are, he can get some teaching and financial help and get with the program, because it's never too late.
So much has been learned about diabetes treatment. Some folks are holding on to old info. The nutritionists are still keeping carb counts too high for a diabetic person
He might need more help at home - and he definitely needs to take more personal responsibility for his own health and stop with the 'victim' mentality and the excuses.
ancientsgate Unfortunately there are a ton of non compliant, out of control diabetics. Idk about the guy in the video but there are a tremendous amount of people who basically exhibit this same behavior despite having access to the medical materials and being properly taught how to care for themselves. So it does not always come down to never being properly informed. This dude would seriously benefit from having a home health aid to help him out. Like he is an A++ example of the type of patient who needs someone else to help him
As a type 1 diabetic in the UK, I am so so thankful that all my medication, foot care, and appointments are free and have not been interrupted by the pandemic. I can’t imagine not being provided with everything I need. I feel very grateful.

You are such an amazing doctor. You show so much care for your patients. Just your tone alone is calming. Prayers and blessings to you, your family, and patients.
My mum always made me and my siblings take good care of our feet, wash and moisturise every day. This video has given me way more incentive to keep it up 😭
Those were the toughest calluses I have ever seen!!! I'm glad patient came to see you before those ulcers got infected... I'm sure your hands were sore after that workout!!!! Awesome video!!! 😀
Ahh DC Foot DR you have the sweetest bedside manner and speak to all of your patients with care and respect. Wish I lived in US so you could take care of my feet 🙏👣
I never knew that skin could get that thick and hard to needing nippers to cut into the callus to get rid of it & even doing it that way was tough going. He’s lucky he came to see you when he did as that foot ulcer would of turned really nasty. You’ve done an amazing job on his feet considering how they looked at the beginning.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours I’ve been watching for a good year now I love your videos . You help me keep my feet clean n clear as a young person . 😍
You are one fantastic doctor I hope you are going to stick around for a long time . These people need you and you are great with them. I can't believe how much time you take with them and never rush
Dear DR. You are teaching us empathy, compassion. As a hairdresser i care about my clients and i am able to give so much more than a new look. I love this and from watching these videos it has STRETCHED.. me more that when we TOUCH people how much kindness we can give♥️
I'm of the older generation and can remember when as a child The foot washing ceremonies at the little country church we attended. The pastor said to wash anothers feet was the most humbling thing one could do. But you sir take it far beyond that. What you do is remarkable and I do so admire you Dr.
You get quite a workout working on removing calluses. I was sympathy pushing and clipping. Man my arms ate tired and I didn't do it. Funny how moral support comes in funny ways. I guess now you know that I am always lending you my support. Well done Doc. I love how well you explain everything, blunt but kind and just how awesome your bedside manner is. You take care of their feet right down to dry skin when you put lotion on. We need more like you that are willing to go that extra mile for their patients!!
I love how this Doctor not only does such a fantastic job with his feet, but you can tell he really cares about the patients overall health!
Non judgemental doctor, explaining from the perspective of the patient, educating, no sell out ads AND somehow the only form of asmr I've ever understood 😂🤷♀️

I love listening to the doctor’s voice. So compassionate when talking to the patients and teaching them. ❤️
This poor guy is just giving up. He's probably got untreated depression. My heart goes out to him, he just doesn't care anymore. He's forgotten how important and beautiful a human being he is. Bless you sir. :-)
Wow this is the most compassion I've come across ever on a comments section. God bless you. I am touched by this. Have a wonderful day
🙏❤👍

Love your kind manner and care for your patient. Non-judgmental, but thorough. Great job doc!!
It is amazing he knows how far down to clip without cutting him .My goodness.
Absolutely love when specialists ask patients about other health issues. You are addressing the patient as a whole not just his feet. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was absolutely captivated by this video. I've been a nurse nearly 25 years and, even so, I didn't want to blink because I might miss something. Fantastic doc!
Thank you!
Dr.: “How is your blood sugar (level) doing?”
Diabetic Patient: “.....I don’t know.”
So sad.
mfriedrich2012 So many diabetics are in denial about their condition. I’m a Medical Nail Technician and am constantly disheartened by the seeming lack of concern on many people’s part.
Do you know your blood sugar levels off the top of your head?

No
Very sad and frustrating 😣
I love that he doesn't lecture his patients, just provides them with information, diagnosis and solutions.

Sometimes it is. I’m lazy and it’s affected my health greatly. I know I’m not the exception but the rule.
Such a caring, soft-spoken doctor. One in a million.
Your questions seemed to gain his attention towards the end. I am rooting for him. Excellent probing-on his feet, and his understanding.
Thank you!
Anyone else completely intrigued with this but squirming out of their chair at the same time!?

Yes
Shit. This whole video I was internally SCREAMING in horror
Hella yes!
Yes love them but they r pretty gross. But i can't stop watching them lol
Those calluses were on a whole other level! I learned some new things about calluses! Thanks for sharing!
MartinsNewTeeth This guy’s feet are no comparison to dead foot walking guy on RUclips. Look him up and his extremely bad callouses.
This is why I’m going back to school to be a podiatrist. Gentlemen like this I have to try and help.
I love the Doctors’ way of communicating with his patients !!
Dr. Jefferson you are awesome. I love how you explain things to your patients.👏👏👏👏

A great doctor, very skilled and kind.
I loved the concern from the Dr. Also, the patient was very honest which makes treatment more exact. Great job Dr.
You’re just so technically skilled and your bedside manner is lovely and calming.
This guy's feet look like he has been walking on the face of the sun bare foot! I know he was so happy after he saw you...
The care you are providing will help his quality of life. It is so important.

I absolutely love ur channel!! U have the most grossest but most satisfying videos out of all the foot docs!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
As a type 1 diabetic in the UK, I am so so thankful that all my medication, foot care, and appointments are free and have not been interrupted by the pandemic. I can’t imagine not being provided with everything I need. I feel very grateful.
Admiration and respect to such a dedicated and caring doctor. I hope your patient will go regularly to his doctor re his blood sugar.
Thank you!
Omg you are so sweet you don't shame your patients you just try and educate them, your tone of voice is so nice, and I love how you take your time that you don't rush at all. Thank you
Making me put cream on my feet as I watch!
YESSSSS
I learn so much from your videos. You show compassion for your patients and take your time to educate them without judgment. 🥰
Goodness there are doctors who will help people like this. Thank you for your dedication.
Ohhh the ulcers lurking under those calluses!! So scary. As usual, the doc is compassionate...
Great video, I am so impressed with how much compassion you have for your patients. I hope this man stays on top of this because I think it can go bad very quickly. Should this have been something his primary noticed especially him being diabetic?
Yes, but studies have shown that many primary physicians don't check the feet, even those of diabetics.
There is a round device that can be inserted in the arm that he could use w a phone app to measure his blood sugar. No more needle pricks. Life changing device.
Sara Blessington not all insurances cover it.
I don't know how that poor ole man walked on his foot . I praying it healed quickly.
Many people whom are diabetic have neuropathy. This may cause tingling, pins & needles, pain or just numbness in the feet!
Doc, your voice sounds like Denzel Washington
Thank you!
So soothing! Could fall asleep right now haha
Linda Sharp I thought the same thing!
I was thinking his voice sounded familiar lol
Hahaha I was wondering why it sounded familiar!! Now I can't unhear Denzel!!
Thick? That's an understatement! Great job, as usual; so interesting to watch.
I just found your channel two minutes ago. I like how you seem to care about your clients health. I'm definitely subscribing and pressing the bell because I don't want to miss anything 😊 great work.
I moisturize every day that is so important. This poor man bless his heart! He's blessed to be in your care. You are such an awesome doctor!!
Doctor you are so kind in the way that you address this issue giving this man his dignity. This truly is your calling. God-bless you!
Great job.. can you do a video and how you clean up after a patient leaves.. please
I have this callus remover that is used at home and in salons and it would eat that stuff away. My dad has feet similar to that and he is also diabetic and I use it on his feet at least every two weeks. I also use Gold Bond Diabetic Foot Cream on him as well.
What's the name of the callus remover?
The gold bond doesn't work for me. I live in Colorado and it's so dry here
Second that, what's the name of the callus remover?
I'm curious to know the name as well 😊
gaming_granny_ 19 please tell us the callus remover
You are such an amazing doctor. You show so much care for your patients. Just your tone alone is calming. Prayers and blessings to you, your family, and patients.
Never seen such a large callus. Good job
Thank you!
If this dude lives alone somebody needs to call Adult Protective Services. Dude needs a home health aid
Yea looks that way
Doc you are amazing. We appreciate you. Keep up the great work.
You get 👍🏾 just for your username
Thank you!
My mum always made me and my siblings take good care of our feet, wash and moisturise every day. This video has given me way more incentive to keep it up 😭
Diabetes caused this. Not lack of moisturizing. Although that may have helped some. Mostly people just need to manage their diabetes.
I love that you can cut big pieces out and not damage the viable tissue
I love the way you talk to your patients. I hope he gets better.
Those were some of the hardest calluses I've seen
I feel so glad that I have none of these foot problems, and I like how caring the Dr. Is with his patients
Wow! You did a wonderful job clearing this.
Thank you!
Those were the toughest calluses I have ever seen!!! I'm glad patient came to see you before those ulcers got infected... I'm sure your hands were sore after that workout!!!! Awesome video!!! 😀
It saddens me that there's no one that will look after their feet or take the time to check on these people you take care of. You are very kind.
I could’ve watched another two hours of this! I hope you do an update on this!
This is very satisfying... but I feel so sorry for him. Thanks for making him feel better :)
This is fascinating. What an exceptional doctor.
My brother had these. It breaks my heart seeing just how bad they are. 😔 Please people take care of your diabetes.
Great job. Hopefully this helps him feel better and it heals.
I had no idea denzel Washington did feet
Lol. I don't think Denzel would dare deal with feet
bruvvamoff he’s actually better looking than Denzel. And I like Denzel 🤷🏼♀️
bruvvamoff omg! You’re so right! He sounds exactly like Denzel Washington!
I have had it with these motherfucking ulcers on these motherfucking feet!
I can’t un-read this and now I’m picturing Denzel in every foot video. 😂
You are an amazing Doctor and human being!!! This sweet patient is so blessed to have you looking after him! Xoxo❤️
Dr. You are so awesome the way you greet people is great you fix them and educate them.
Ahh DC Foot DR you have the sweetest bedside manner and speak to all of your patients with care and respect. Wish I lived in US so you could take care of my feet 🙏👣
Thank you 😃
Dr, you are a saint! I’ve watched several of your videos and your patience and calm demeanor is amazing.
Thank you for being a concerned doctor and taking the time to check up on his prescriptions and other things. Great Work! New subbie.
I love the closed captioning -" the skin is breaking down under this cow"
You are one fantastic doctor I hope you are going to stick around for a long time . These people need you and you are great with them. I can't believe how much time you take with them and never rush
OMG 😲 I absolutely LOVED this video! You did an amazing job! Would love if you brought us more big calluses like this to slice
Thank you!
I always learn so much from your videos. You’re fantastic.
I have never seen anything like this bad. I am a diabetic and control it through diet. I think so many people ignore it until it’s out of control.
Many people fall through the cracks of medical care and information . Many do not have support services or the financial help needed.
A lot of time they can't feel anything happening because numbness sets in. I have seen so many people loose feet from diabetes related issues.
God bless you Doc!! You did a great job, hope he starts taking care of himself!
Thank you!
You have the patience of a Saint
Thank you!
I was raised Primitive Baptist and we washed feet during communion service.
Doc Jeff does good work and is so sweet to his patients
Goodness, what a transformation after treatment. You are an awesome practitioner, Dr. Caring and professional too. Stay safe and well.
You're such a good man. So professional and gentle.
The title should be something like: “Crouching Callus, Hidden Ulcer”.
@falseking989 you are a visionary!
I need to add that "tool" to my collection of creepy yet deliciously dangerous things.
