Thank you! I am studying this prelude. The close up view of your fingering at around 3:40 is great! I was struggling with it but now I see how it can be done using the thumb. My score had the indication to use the thumb on the D but not which string (A string D? D string octive?) Now it all makes sense! Yay!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is so helpful ❤️ I have just started playing this piece. I had never heard it before. It takes my breath away. It feels like it connects my soul to the universe. I feel privileged to be able to have the opportunity to try to play this. Your video is so helpful especially the close up of the tricky fingering. I can tell some of the fingering is going to take a while to learn 🤣
Thx you so much for posting this that thumb part hand me stumped I was like how am I going to reach those notes in the slur. It makes sense seeing it played now to practice.
Thank you! When I was a student, I was never aware how much of difference good strings could make. With proper choice of strings every instrument can help us to make very special sound.
Hello Tainan! I would suggest going to www.imslp.org for all free public domain sheet music. However, if you would like to have this particular edition, you can buy it here: www.amazon.com/shop/cellopedia?listId=3548RF6ITYUV8 All the best!
Slow tempo is so helpful and thankful to you!
This video was so helpful because of the camera view being switched to a topside view during the thumb position work. Thank you!
Great to hear it!
So calm , so clean , you make it seems so easy 💛

So happy to help! This is a very confusing spot - I always have to spend extra time with all of my students. All the best to you!
