I started watching smg4 2012 smg4 was one of the first channels I subscribed he also inspired me to make my account but ever sense 2020 I started to not watch smg4 smg4 honestly declined in 2017 but I stopped watching him in 2020 the new cast is so bad in my opinion saiko old meggy tari are ok but human meggy axol are trash
But Melony I extremely hate and I hate how they made peach into a yelling character
Luigi no screen time and toad is pretty much is non existent
The arcs are meh
The waluigi arc good
The rapper bob arc meh
The anime arc trash
The youtube arc was better than the anime arc and rapper arc but much worse than the waluigi arc
The Geniss arc was so bad its probably the worst arc so far none of the episodes are funny and ANOTHER DEATH

Everyone's talking about how this is a new arc but can I just mention that guy from detention? At first I thought it was a place holder but I know how this works. You give them a unique voice they will be important
You’re not the only one. I can already tell that not only is that guy a new character, but also that he might play a key role in the future, depending if this really is the start of a new arc. Also I don’t know if it’s just me…but that guy is giving me a strange sense of suspicion

I love how Niles was a bully character here. Not because of the unique personality, but because they can get away with a lot with him being a bully. Stuff like Melony getting in trouble for something she didn't do (willingly) or how he isn't forced to clean up the mess or how he can dodge all of the attacks. All of those have reasonable explanations that don't really involve Zero, so you don't suspect anything at all. I love it so much. It was a genius move in a good story arc.
And speaking of which, the way these episodes hit differently now is great. It's amazing what a little revelation can do to these episodes.

Great episode (SUPER fun and enjoyable!) but can we talk about how the guy from detention gives me early-Axol vibes?
He specifically wanted Melony’s attention and helped her out a ton….I’m calling it: he’ll get close with her and her next major arc will be feeling guilty because she accepted Axol’s confession. Unlike Axol, who began as a close companion (platonically) for Meggy, this guy can start as a companion (platonically or romantically) for Melony.
He’s going to be Axol 2.0 isn’t he? I’m both happy we’re getting a character like him back, but it just feels….wrong? Axol was so inspirational and was a great character despite his shortcomings from a storytelling perspective. I’m both excited and intrigued because I know Luke and Kevin will make it work somehow….

I think he might be a reincarnated Zero with no memory of his past actions. but who knows maybe he has no connections to either Axol or Zero we will have to wait and see.

That guy in detention is definitely relevant to Melony’s power arc. You don’t just introduce a random new guy, with a voice who speaks to the main character without seeing further from him

Now, this is getting interesting! Melony's learning how to channel her inner energy, the SMGs and the guards are now on campus, and this new character... I have a feeling that he's this "Kaizo" character and is bullying Melony, and only Melony, because he knows something that she doesn't since he also has strange powers. Hope they don't make him overly unlikeable though.
I feel like the new guy may become Melony's new love interest.

That's what happens when you make characters. You either stick with the concept, or completely rework it.
It was a nice surprise seeing SMG1 and SMG2 again, explaining more how the dynamic between guardians and the avatar works. Too bad Mario screws it up to the point of everyone caught in the blast getting detention. Well, good thing it didn't happen during WOTFI 2021, or everyone would be screwed. This also seems to be the introduction to a new character. One who acts like a jerk, but is actually giving Melony tips on how to properly wield her power. One who may become an ally in a future arc. One who might even fulfill the role Axol could have fulfilled, had the hand of fate chosen differently. I'm not saying anyone could replace Axol, nobody can. But I sense a "someone you hate becomes a love interest"- story here.
personally I don't believe actual truly dead and concerned it already set up as character and everything and secondly new character ever goes with Melody I'm going to expect angry fans

Alright this was crazy! It's nice to see SMG1 and SMG2 back! I think we're in the beginning of another arc where Melony, the Box leader and that new dude will have an important role. I don't get why that guy teases Melony but he looks friendly and I think he's gonna help her control better her powers. I think that this arc started since the episode "To become God". Maybe in the next episodes we'll meet the new guy better, he SURE is going to be important in this new arc. (Still can't replace Axol....)

I really like how they are getting more screentime after the Anime Arc ended(As abysmal as the Anime Arc is imo, at least it brought back Chris and Swagmaster). But what's not good is that Bowser, Peach, Toad, X, FM, Other Mario Recolors, Lakitu, Sonic, Daisy, and so much more characters aren't getting much screentime because SMG4 hates the Mario franchise.
