I always love how you honor the hard work of the amazing craftsmen and volunteers who help you bring the house back to life. So many people hide them in the background instead of appreciating the special skills they have spent decades perfecting. I haven't been able to consistently watch your videos this year, but it's impressive how far you go on each update I catch on a relatively modest budget.

Those workers sure are brave! I’d have a heart attack just being in the boom.
I love the ghost crabs, and I enjoy seeing them when we vacation in NC during the summer. They can move really fast!!!

Swishing up the roof like a restorative bossss!!! HGTV displays a produced appearance of hard work. But one often questions how much of it is staged. This, on the other hand. This is the real thing.
I can just imagine what a flight of fresh air it’ll be to see the roof completed and secured after so much meticulous focus. Those copper gutters I know will patina after a time, but they are still magnificent additions. Like…eye liner to a celebrated lady, perhaps.

From day one when you announced that you bought this old mansion, to this video, i am amazed at all the work that went into it thus far. Thank you for your dedication and hard work and your ability to make it a non-profit. May 2025 see many more improvements And may I be able to go there someday and see it up close and personal.

What a year! I’m glad that you and the workers are not afraid of heights. That is some scary stuff. Looking forward to the new year to see what you can accomplish. Best wishes and have a happy and healthy New Year.

2:57 they may have been an absolute pain, but wow, they do look nice. They complete the roof, and the building.

How do you think the original vents were installed in the 1890’s? Did booms exist back then? How did they work to ventilate the attic without leaking?

Oooo!! a model !! Love your explanation - worked perfectly well done. Hope the new gutter works as intended. Why are the other 2 sides of that space not done or are there gutters already there? just wondering..
Happy New Year to you all thank you for all the videos!
