    I had thought rating an appliance meant testing at maximum. The 3 burner test is an average for testing regulator and pipe sizing.

    • @arturpier3900
      @arturpier3900 6 месяцев назад

      I thought that too. 3 burners only for meter operating pressure. Gas rate all burners and oven at full rate. This doesn’t make sense. You should match your gas rate with MI and show results.

    Shouldn't you gas rate each gas burner on the cooker separately ? One burner could be under gas and one over gas....surely more important on cooking ...

    • @rayc1503
      @rayc1503 3 года назад

      You'll be there for an awfully long time. Download the Mi's and total the number of burners you gas rating. 5% over 10% under are the tolerances you're allowed. If the gas rate is under the injectors could quite possibly be blocked, undersized pipe work or restrictions in lines. Over gassed could be worn larger then average injectors.

      Gross for most pre 2000 appliances Net for most post 2000. If the data badge gives you a net reading then go with net conversion. If there isn't a data badge on the appliance assume it's a Gross calculation. Gross is the total amount of gas Net take it as the usable amount.
