- First in the series we take a look into one of RSR's permanent residents; ex-police government issue 1999 Commodore SS. Albeit considerably modified we have a look at some original and subtle changes to one of Australia's icons.

I bought a mint '99 factory manual 5 litre before covid tax kicked in, glad I got it.
What a nice car. I like this model a lot. The original even more so. But this one is beautiful.
i agree with the factory 17 inch wheels are amazing, only wheels I'd put on if you had to go bigger would be VT GTS / Monaro CV8 series 1 18 inch.

I was able to snag a beautiful red VE ute SSV before the price of holdens skyrocketed, I love my car, but I cant say I’m not jealous when I see a 5L iron lion. Easily one of the best V8s ever produced
I like it, My LS1 Caprice will be ready for Club reg soon and retirement.. I see a similar future for it becomes a proper weekend cruiser - completely stock looking grandpa blown LS style
FYI as you probably know by now the woodgrain wasn't standard. The interior light cutout was hidden because previous owner didn't want to cut out the trim.

Looks like the seats have been swapped with a set of S1 seats but car is mint👌🏻
They sure have back when they where $50 for a set. Now I wish I had of just refurbed my S2 ones
