I FEEL YAAA!!! Kai is beyond words can explain as an artist, and those dance moves you see are from a REAL ballerino, he danced ballet from a young age, his passion is DANCING! Also his creativity and hard work, he literally filmed that in like 2 days or something, he was even freezing filming in the water and without a jacket at night; he talks about it in a mini documentary or behind the scenes were he explains this, (also a girl who worked as an extra talked about it too, he was working no stop). And THIS is the result. Brilliant!!!
Kai's song selection for his solo mini album was perfection. Every track represented his personality. The Film took it to a whole other level, just for his fans. On his second mini album 'Kai - Come In' R&B perfection. Great reaction guys.
Come In is my favorite song off of his second mini. It's just too good!

Kai is a masterpiece and both of his albums are a NO SKIP! He set another trend in kpop with this film and he even put from his own money to give us greater quality to his first solo album!
Kai came out SWINGING!! First kpop album I ever bought without hearing it and wow did that pay off, the whole thing is gorgeous
Kai's "Film: Kai," as you discovered, is a sort of teaser/sample of all the songs on Kai's solo self-titled debut album Kai. Yes, this video was meant to get people excited about the album and to boost presales and album sales. People hear a sample of all of the songs and then say, "now I have to check out the full album," etc.
Fun fact: Highlight medelies for SM artist's solo albums first became a thing with SHINee Taemin's "Press It highlight melody" video in 2016, which was a video showing Taemin performing a snippet of every song on his Press It album. (Like everything SHINee does, Taemin was the first to promote his album giving people a sample of every song on the album, kicking off a trend.) You could also say it's similar to NCT's track videos that they have been releasing with their albums more recently.
Kai had a hand in writing and composing all of these songs and he spent more than a year working on the album, which he did all while also promoting nonstop as a member of EXO and SuperM. He actually put his own money into this project to increase the budget in order to make sure the quality met his expectations. The mini album contains 6 tracks and, as you just heard, each song is expertly designed to reflect Kai's style as an artist.
There is only an MV for "Mmmh," the rest of these songs are B-side tracks so they don't have MVs. That is why you don't see any performance for "Mmmh" because they want you to watch the MV. If you want to see and hear the full versions of some of these other songs, you should look up some of his live performances. As part of his promotions for his album he has also performed several of these songs, such as "Mmmh", "Reason" and "Ride or Die," live. And as you have seen, he also has dance practice videos for "Reason" and "Mmmh".
To understand what is happening in this video, you have to keep in mind EXO's concept.
As you know, Kai's EXO superpower is teleportation, so what you see in some of the scenes in this video, is him teleporting.
If you analyse all the scenes within Kai's film you would find connections can be made to EXO's storyline and things to do with past EXO MVs and probably even future MVs, as well as SuperM's storyline.
For example, the scenes during Kai's "Amnesia" snippet and as it transitions to "Mmmh" are probably part of SM's train theme, which connects a majority of its artists to the whole SM Universe. The train we see Kai standing in front of could possibly be the train that Baekhyun is on in his solo "Bambi" MV. And the subway train platform we see during "Mmmh" could be connected to SuperM's "100" MV storyline, SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV storyline, aespa's "Black Mamba" MV storyline and SHINee Key's solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV storyline, as well as EXO's "Love Me Right" MV storyline and EXO-CBX's "Horololo" MV storyline, etc.
Plus, as part of EXO's story, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, similar to his "Mmmh" MV, it is thought that what you see in this video is Kai traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search for the other members and the Tree of Life, etc. That is why you see him in so many different locations and scenes in this film.
There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in these scenes is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. As you may remember, another part of EXO's storyline is that some of the members have evil alter ego clones that have been created by the Red Force, which were introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV. So, some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai.
Also notice how the lights during "Ride or Die" made EXO's Hexagon symbol.
As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans, has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. (We only hope that someday SM will release the book or make a movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.)
Both of his albums are straight masterpieces. Actually ALL THE EXO MEMBERS SOLO ALBUMS ARE PERFECTION.

Kai is the center/main dancer/sub rapper/vocals of EXO. I hope you have tried watching EXO's LIVE CONCERTS. All of them are singing LIVE while doing different set of choreographies for every song that they perform!!! EXO are the vocal/dance kings of pop in Korea. Please do and you won't regret it.

Kai is art. Everyone knows he is one of the very, very top dancers in the industry. (I would say tied with Taemin for the top spot.) But I had no idea what to expect when I heard he had a solo album coming out. He’s not in EXO’s vocal line, though many fans love his tone (me included). And then this came out. Total no skip, put every song on your playlist and listen all day and all night.

*Now THIS is what you call, Creative, Genius and Masterful. Everything has a meaning. On the 4th song (NOM) the women created an eye 👁 which is the meaning of Kai’s name. If you get a chance to see his Mmmh m/v, you’ll see the eye as well. And yes it has a flavor in every angle from the 80s on.*

It wasn’t until Kai’s online concert that we could see the whole Ride or Die song. Hands down my favorite. Kai has a 22 min car commercial for Tuscan that is amazing.

So Taemin did this during his 1st solo album release called Press It in 2016; here's the link to the medley ruclips.net/video/IyCcksDBMLs/видео.html. I think it's an awesome way to showcase a new album all at once. Kai's is way more modern like a mini-film which is awesome. I think this is an SM style where each artist can show case their own authenticity and fashion and dance. Props to Kai on his solo career and can't wait for Taemin to return. They are besties along with Jimin from BTS and a few others (the Padding Squad).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this album. I think Kai gets slept on, vocally, because EXO has vocal juggernauts like Baekyun and Chen. He's known more for his dancing and visuals. Anywho, if you like cinematography you may want to check out Jackson Wang's videos: 100 Ways, Pretty Please, LMLY, Blow, and Cruel.
