You really should just go to eBay and buy a New Era Rope Machine. I have a couple of them and the gearing really makes rope a lot faster. So far the biggest rope I have made is 3/4 inch and 140 feet long. I made it to drop trees in a very busy back yard .I did a very precise drop right where I told a crowd of people that I had had heard betting I would take a corner off the garage. So easy to do those very accurate falls if you know what you are doing
And just FYI, there’s not a thing wrong with using geared machines for this. In fact, my geared machine has a 4/1 mechanical advantage. Yours is 1/1, so have fun staying out there running it 4x longer than I have to. lol
I really like seeing non-mechanical ways of doing things that are usually automated, so I thought this was cool. I'd be keen to see your setup too, it's interesting checking out different approaches to a situation.

Дед всем работу нашёл))) молодец!
U have to twist 1 time at the trailer for every 5 twists at the tree to compensate ..hope this helps

the best!!!👍👍👍😁
As you twist from the tree end you have to continue twisting at the machine end , I use a pulley with weights on the tree end to keep tight .
Russ is absolutely correct. This is why the rope is laid looser at the twister end.
Great job dear
Good job but if you put it on the ground and roll it around with your foot it will get the kinks out as well ...good job.
For every five times you turn the tree end crank you need to turn the other end one time.

That was great!!! Kids in the US don't know how to do anything, Except use a cellphone. Or credit card. Do you make bull whips too?
Interesting video. Loved it
For the twine what’s the best knot to initially join them together before rope making?
Matthew walker knot
Reef knot also called square knot.

If you watch this video, he explains what you need to do in order for it not to be loose at the machine end: ruclips.net/video/toyOKOi0DsM/видео.html
