Yeah, I've met Bob a few times, not as much as I would have liked too though. I went to TAFE (mini university I guess you guys would call it) with his daughter.
I was like 13 when Steve died and he would air on tv every morning while I ate breakfast.I lived in Airzona at the time and would catch all kinds of reptiles, sometimes on the walk to school i would catch a lizard to walk with me lol. The morning I saw it on the news and I cried, my grandma told me he was always bright and colorful and could teach anyone about animals. Sharing the same first name as a kid is why I love animals so much today and why I supprt Brian and Lori in everything you do with all animals. Merry Christmas everyone.
Brandon I'm an Aussie too and I really miss him and to see some other reptile enthusiast look up to him is great I have only met Steve twice and I've met bob and bindi multiple times I'm also friends with their mother but it was really sad when on the news one morning when I was only 6 or around that (I'm like 13 now ) and to see that he died. Hi Brian! I have followed you on RUclips for over 6 years and since then you have inspired me to get my first snake which was a normal Ball Python. I now keep a number of a reptiles and spend a lot of time doing education talks at birthday parties, schools, churches, youth clubs etc... Thank you for that! I started watching this channel a few months ago. I was all about reptiles and amphibians as a kid and my mom never wanted me to have a snake. I had golden geckos, tokay geckos, box turtles, all kinds of newts and frogs and toads. i caught a few garter snakes and i loved looking for them and catching them. I was always looking for green snakes, but never found any. But this channel brought that love of snakes back to me and for an early christmas present my girlfriend took me to our local reptile store and let me pick out a baby western hognose snake! Its so awesome to finally be allowed to have my own pet snake at 30 years old. Hahaha my girlfriend is the best.

brian, thanks man for this. the part about following your dreams, it really hit a cord with me. Most of my life I've fought stereotypes being an Alaskan reptile keeper. Recently I became the first fully licensed Alaskan ball breeder, and as great as that accomplishment is, sometimes the set backs (not only for myself, but for my fellow Alaskan) get me down. It's easy to lose sight of why you have to push through, and I needed to hear this today. Your positivity is infectious. So now I'm off to work, with a positivity in my heart. Snakes terrify me, everyone who knows me knows that. However watching videos and shows about snakes has always fascinated me. I found the snakebytes tv channel in 2010 and was immediately hooked. i'm still terrified of snakes in the wild, but every since finding your blog i've mustered the courage to hold small pet snakes!!

brian, thanks man for this. the part about following your dreams, it really hit a cord with me. Most of my life I've fought stereotypes being an Alaskan reptile keeper. Recently I became the first fully licensed Alaskan ball breeder, and as great as that accomplishment is, sometimes the set backs (not only for myself, but for my fellow Alaskan) get me down. It's easy to lose sight of why you have to push through, and I needed to hear this today.

So I have had a huge fear of snakes. And told my husband we never will have one. After getting to watch and learn and see the love you and your family for these beautiful animals. I told my husband recently I want a snake!

Snakes terrify me, everyone who knows me knows that. However watching videos and shows about snakes has always fascinated me. I found the snakebytes tv channel in 2010 and was immediately hooked. i'm still terrified of snakes in the wild, but every since finding your blog i've mustered the courage to hold small pet snakes!!

Being productive and as you stated on being positive is in your blood Brian however it is also a inherited trait that everyone can have depending on what road they go on and follow their dreams in their life journey during each and every day. Your new name of "Ricky" is a great name. I do the same with my animals, it is easier to remember names that way. Two of my albino red ear sliders are named " Allata " and "sunshine", How can I forget them lolol. Congratulations on your new section of the upcoming facility for your company's growth.
