I just bought a 2003 with a retro style on it with the blue. Not a huge fan of the blue but I’ll admit it’s nice. I think I’ll leave it alone for a year until I start doing some mods to it. So far it’s just got a Fatty pipe and FMF silencer and a VForce Reed Valve, those are the only mods I know of on it but it feels powerful as all hell for what it is. I might end up swapping to a gnarly for more low/mid power since I’m going to do more hill climbing etc.
You did a killer job on this rebuild, and I think you'll like that Lectron. I bought a YZ250 with one and it's been great. Really curious how much better the new version is though.
Hey just a question. Did you ever had a problem with the lectron? I have 02 rm250 and I’m having trouble with the old lectron and the new billetron 38 when the engine gets hot idle shoots up. Engine have 3hrs new rebuild top and bottom no air leak. Thanks
My keihin carb has shit the bed. I’ve been chasing breakup issue in 1st and second since I’ve owned the bike. I would clean the carb re jet and it would work about 90% better then a couple of days would go by and it would act like I never touched it. Apparently their is a gasket on the inside that can’t be replaced that’s gone bad. Debating on a lectron or just a keihin flat slide.
Sick bike. I’m always “building” my 2007 RM250. Doing VForce3 and Lectron right now. What brand plastics do you have? And who did your graphics? So rad. Thanks 🙏
Thinking of getting this carb for my 07 Outlaw 525 irs. Been trying to dial this shit in for a while but keep failing. This will be my last resort lol. Hows it feel with that carb?
LCST - The Lectron is supposed to be the answer! Ive only gotten around to heat cycling the bike but it runs great, just had to adjust idle. I ride with 6000’ of elevation change so im looking forward to this season of no tinkering!
Ron Levy well I bought it used, and the cable he had doesn’t fit my bike, lectron suggested the 8mm line on their website, but I’m wondering if I’ll need the “long” version which is said to be 3” longer
A guy I know is selling the Lectron 38hv, but has it listed for a cr250. When i go on the Lectron site the carbs for the cr250 and rm250 look identical & theyre both h series 38mm. Should this fit on my Rm?? Im in Canada and its a pain importing from the states with all of the extra fee's so if this works it would be very benificial. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Ron Levy Yeah that was my first thought so i went on there site to the "contact us" page & they state they will not answer any questions about buying "used" carbs, so i guess im beat lol. Thanks for the reply i appreciate it!
@@matthewarmstrong162 Sorry to hear bud, just dont want to give you bad advice! I know when i ordered mine the lectron was tuned to the fuel type, elevation, "bike" , and type of riding i do. At the end of the day it is a "Carb" but they are specified to a couple of factors.
Ron Levy Yeah i hear you, ill just eat the extra $$ and order from lectron to be sure. My RM is an 03 and is such a hassle to jet so im hoping the Lectron can fix all of the issues
Most serious riders don’t run ethanol in their bikes which is the carb killer. Two strokes are less vulnerable with the mixed fuel. Let a 4T fuel injected machine sit for a year and you’ll have much bigger problems. Lectron Carbs are are well worth the investment to a serious rider. Set it and forget it, +efficiency, +power.
Nice Bike Bro I was gonna do that saying graphics but I did the blue and yellow instead and switch to plastics up a little different Check it out on my page and I have lectron too
I was gonna go retro on my 99. Blue n yellow. After seeing this, black n yellow it is. Nice bike my man.
Much appreciated John! Look forward to seeing your bike!

Wow so this is the owner of this beautiful rm250. Saw your bike on Pinterest. 🙃 I have an rm250 as well

nice bike!
Thanks!

Hi Ron,
I also have a RM 250 01, has the bike's performance improved with the new carburetor?
Thanks
Gustavo dos Santos it runs really well with the lectron. I ride a lot of elevation change starting at 5-6000’ above sea level so its amazing!
Hey man I’m in love with your build when you disconnected the two plugs from your carb what did you do with them just tuck them away?
Street Veterans I was told to tape them off and tuck them away yes, i put them back in the airbox.
Do you think the lectron will improve horsepower

Did you have to adjust the carb when you first got it
Dezmin Jennings yea, the idle was very high
Hey man what’s size throttle cable did you use, I have the same bike and I’m looking to get a lectron carb but don’t know what cable to get
If you buy it from Lectron directly it will include the appropriate cable!

Apex-_-Showdown you are right! Just checked the invoice - i have the 8mm “Long” cable
Awesome! Thank you for your help

Hey Matthew, I wouldn't be able to say honestly. Probably the best bet would be to reach out to Lectron?

@@RonLevy Hello. I also have a Suzuki RM, only 2003. Tell me, does it make sense to put an electron? What improvements does it give?
I think this carb is gonna be too much of a pain in the ass to clean when it’s dirty or need rebuild
