John Fogerty has one of the most unique & recognizable voices around. Loved his band CCR in the 60's-70's. His first solo album "The Blue Ridge Rangers" in 1973 had the hits "Jambalaya" & "Hearts Of Stone". His self-titled album "John Fogerty" in 1975 had the song "Rockin' All Over The World". His album "Centerfield" in 1985 did well & has some great songs such as "Old Man Down The Road", "Rock & Roll Girls" & "Centerfield".
My husband has been a little league baseball coach for 37 years this is one of his favorites. He’ll be 75 and still coaching. That’s where we met and fell in love. He drafted my oldest who was 12 now he never knew he would have found me. It’s been 30 years and I’m still madly in love with him !!!!😊
Some of the most unique voices in music history from the 50s through the 70s John forgery, Frankie valley,Janis Joplin,Bobby Hatfield,Bill medley, little Richard and on and on no auto tune just great sound
Of course you know CCR but I guess you know but they're from California which is really strange that they have that unique sound of the South I was quite surprised about it when I was growing up I didn't know that at all I thought they were from the South
So here's the thing....John fogerty was sue for plagrising himself. When this album came out his former CCR record label Fantasy sue Fogerty for his song The Old Man Down The Road for sounding like CCR's Run Through The Jungle. John had to testified and explained: he showed that the two songs were whole, separate and distinct compositions. Bringing his guitar to the witness stand, he played excerpts from both songs, demonstrating that many songwriters (himself included) have distinctive styles that can make different compositions sound similar to less discerning ears. John ultimately prevailed and won. and then countersued Fantasy records for compensation of dfending himself. He won that settlement. The fued began when John left CCR and relinquished all ties (including royalties) with Fantasy and CCR. when Fantasy was sold and founder Sal Zaentz lost control, John resigned with Fantasy who reestablished royalties to John.

John wrote, engineered, produced, and played every instrument on this entire album. He literally is a one man band.
My favorite solo song by him
Such a catchy tune. Love it!
