So basically they want students worshiping Mayan gods in the classroom? Good to know.

I don’t think you watched the video, or at least you wildly misunderstood it. In Lak’ech is a phrase, which roughly means “I am you and you are me”. This means that we should love and respect each other, as we are spiritually united, as the Mayans believe. In a more broad sense though, it basically says to “treat others as you would like them to treat you”. It’s a general rule of respect, one which when used in a more spiritual context, can also enhance the spiritual connection between us and the rest of the world, including people, places, objects, thoughts, and emotions. In Lak’ech is not a god, and it has nothing to do with worship.
I’d also like to point out, your statement is a Strawman fallacy. I can link a video to you which goes over a multitude of fallacies, as it helps you become more aware of when you’re making these logical or argumentative errors so that you can correct yourself. It’s a huge help, even in day to day conversation! Have a lovely day

So, basically, I think you are a troll... that's ok, it is one way of having a connection with others, albeit a pretty clumsy one... but! it is a start.
So, to answer your question: (I think you actually know the answer already 😉): No, students are not expected to worship Mayan Gods in class, or outside of class for that matter. The first thing to ponder is that the so-called "nations" or national divisions do only exist on a societal level. On the spiritual level, there is no such division. We are, energetically speaking, all ONE. And energetically speaking translates into absolute speaking, since there is nothing but energy in the universe. It may manifest as matter, but most of it does not. Case in point, our physicists have by now only discovered about 5 % of the suspected matter in the cosmos. They cannot explain even where the other 95 % might be. All they know is they must be somewhere. My thought on this is that it corresponds strangely to the amount of energy which manifests as light on the spectrum chart of all known types of energy. 5 % is all we can see, the rest is invisible to us. Many sacred and very ancient books state that human life is made of light, and nothing else. I find there to be a correspondence between those two ideas. It may also tie into the concept of dimensions. We live in three dimensions. All other dimensions are invisible and undetectable to us. Our sensory organs are not equipped to penetrate the other dimensions, which physicists know must be there!
Well now you can realize that such a simple expression as In lak'an alak'ech can take you upon a wonderful ride through the big scheme of life. We all share this, there are no separations, we are just all humans, and more importantly, we are Spirit. And as spirit, we are all ONE. I think that is absolutely ONEderful! Have a ONEderful life, my friend and brother!
