I liked Gran Torino as a teacher. I expected him to be an overly harsh guy who would beat Midoriya within an inch of his life. He wasn’t. He was tough, but he had realistic expectations of Midoriya, and helped him to make One for All his power.
@@warehog3000 Also, not only did All Might have a better grasp of how to use OFA when he started training him, but he had a bigger and stronger body than Midoriya's so Gran Torino didn't hold back. Plus, he probably softened a bit with age.
Incredible combination! Hercules (1997) and BNHA (2018) are 21 years long! I can't imagine someone could actually go through these two generations, and still love animation!
MHA is rooted in superhero stories. Those same heroes are inspired by stuff like Greek mythology, including and especially Hercules, well, power wise... And in some cases the actual mythology

Speaking of merchandise, I would love to see someone make an animatic of the merchandise scene with mha characters. I was thinking for that scene Bakugo could be hades, while chargebolt and red riot could be pain and panic.
Sav Reyes Since I’ve been reading the manga, I actually feel like Nighteye, who will appear in season 4, will be an even better fit. He’s a lot more cynical and pessimistic than either All Might or Gran Torino
