300 nits vs 400 nits vs 500 nits

Which is best for outdoors and indoors 300 nits or 400 nits or 500 nits. 60 hz VS 120 hz screen comparision.
I compared 3 laptops ( Hp spectre 13.3 touch vs MSI prestige 14 vs Dell Alienware 17 inch)
It is important to see if the screens are not ccfl screens , because ccfl is older technology and ccfl screens will be less brighter than the newer screens.
