    Wow! 8 to 10 mins flight time is extraordinary especially since we've been used to getting 4 to 5 mins airtime on analog quads. My 2.5 yr old Eachine Lal3 4s analog only gives me 4.5 mins at best. Great video from the master himself Sir Dutch. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇸😅

    I know its an old video, but how hot are your motors running? I have a Foxeer F745 AIO on my Roma 3, but still using the Toka 1206 3600kv motors. They arent scalding hot, but hotter than any drone i have. i can hold them for like 5 seconds - 10 seconds after a spirited run. I see the Toka 3600kv + motors are discontinued. I wonder if its because they get hot? The quad performance is great. I do not have additional weight. Its 250g AUW.

      hmmm super hot motors is never a good thing.. I would look at your filtering first.. Do you maybe have the AIO mounted to firmly?

    With a deadcat frame design there is a bit of a imbalance between the motor positions and since cleanflight days they have a motor mixer function to help adjust the motor distances to achieve true-x frame characteristics.
    Easy to calculate a custom motor mix using the following link: www.iforce2d.net/mixercalc/ and paste it into the BetaFlight CLI. But you might need to redo you pids after this.
    There is some debate whether motor mixing is actually doing any good but both Dave_C and Paweł Spychalski have custom motor mixes for their deadcat frame designs.

    • @DutchRC
      @DutchRC  3 года назад

      Yes true, but for me: I fly deadcats so offten I know how to mix things (by hand) without thiniking about it.. In fact: I like deadcats because of the wat they "flow" through corners..
      But yeah.. the debate: if you want a deadcat to fly like a different kind of quad... Maybe a normal setup would work better?
