Skull Fist! Car Bomb! Across the Sun! The Contortionist! Good Tiger! Fleshgod Apocalypse! Misery Signals! Ne Obliviscaris! And I just love hearing other artists shouting out nothing but praise for other solid metal acts.
I've not listened to their recordings, but they opened for gojira in Chicago when I went, and they were horrible live. maybe it's just cause I didn't know the songs, but there was 0 clarity as to what they were actually playing. maybe it was just a horrible sound guy too, idk, but it was definitely not for me :\
+Teddy Graham you gotta listen to the recordings dude. they are really out of this world, next-level stuff. Hell, the fuckin beatles didnt sound too great live compared to their recordings, and of course they didnt have all the instruments they had on the albums either. A great recorded album is a great recorded album regardless of live performance, and honestly Car Bomb is too technical of a band to really hear in a large room, especially with a bad sound guy.
Brandon Wood i'm a fan of Underoath. After a few years Dallas Taylor leave the band i've been wonder where did he go. Then i found him with MATSOD. i was blessed. So i start a southern rock/metal band because of them.
Awesome. Underrated band? Diabolic - A death metal band from Florida with black metal elements all mixed in a combo of devastating death metal. Forget about calling it brutal, it's just ferocious devastating death metal. The track Extinction Level Event says it all. Choice album: Subterraneal Magnitude which has the song on it. Intestine Baalism - Japanese death metal band. Swedish style death metal but bassy sound but totally amazing overall. Choice album: An Anatomy Of The Beast. A musical trip like At The Gates: Slaughter Of The Soul but I think better which says a lot. Choice song: Cannibal Sodom. Also, listen to the song called Blasphemy Resurrected whose ending is like Metallica: Fade To Black. Definitely worth checking out. Brutality - One of the most ridiculously and criminally underrated death metal bands ever in the history of not just Florida death metal but death metal in general. I mean seriously, death metal fans really need to hear this band. Just some of the most devastating and most amazing death metal you'll ever hear, total guarantee that you won't ask or even want your money back. Choice album: Screams Of Anguish. My pick for choice song is Spawned Illusion but also listen to the song Cries Of The Forsaken just to enhance your idea of how excellent this band actually is. MANDATORY LISTEN, MANDATORY PURCHASE!!!!!
Voivod are waaaay more underrated than Vektor. I love Vektor, they are my favorite band, but come on they are getting the praise they deserve. Voivod are still underground after so many classic immortal albums...
In my opinion the most underrated bands are Leprous Voyager Karnivool Make Them Suffer X Japan (although huge in Japan but heavily underrated outside) These bands deserve world recognition.
Klause Steinworth why? because of the Æ? Or am I missing a certain spicey meme? But seriously, you should check out the album, if you like melodic metal.
Black veil brides is the most underrated slamming industrial blackened death grind band ever. I didn't hear anybody mention them in this! Their vocalist Chad kroeger is inhuman
Totally fucking agreed with Mark. I saw Sikth live in Lausanne opening for Trivium, and got my “socks blown off”. I had a chance to chat with one of the vocalistsafter the show and he said they are coming back to Switzerland soon. Waiting… I would also add Battle Beast to the list.
I remember the tour in 2012 with Meshuggah/Decapitated/C.B Murdoc everyone bought a lot of gear from Mesh and Decap but I found it sad that no one was buying anything from C.B Murdoc since they actually weren't that bad. So I bought one of their cd's... GUYS THERE IS AN UNWRITTEN METAL RULE IF YOU ARE THE FIRST ONE TO NOTICE A BAND THAT DOESN'T MANAGE TO SELL ANYTHING TO ANYBODY AT A SHOW, THEN YOU ARE OBLIGED TO BUY SOMETHING FROM THAT BAND
A band called Kinghorse released a really cool debut album back in 1990. I confess I have no idea what they've done since then, but I wore that cassette tape out. Their music was stripped-down metal with great songwriting.
Cyclamen from Japan, saw them at Stay Warm Toronto 2016. Not a lot of people had heard of them, they played 3rd outta 6 bands and shocked the whole crowd
Banshee were awesome LOL! Leprous is also a great band too. My picks would be Allegaeon, Beyond Creation, Death (Florida death metal), Death (Detroit punk band), Ackercocke, Thy Darkened Shade, Cynic, Artas...
Thought Industry, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, who started in the late 80s as a technical metal/mathy/sometimes Mr. Bungle-ish band and slowly progressed into experimental heavy rock. Lyrics are mostly stream of consciousness weirdness, but also smart as shit. Broke up in the early 2000s... they started on Metal Blade, who never really knew how to market or promote them. awesome band.
Plini is totally sick...he did some drum shit for me on a couple songs a few years back. Hes a one man army! Tomas was so right about C.B Murodc, that music is beyond amazing! Thanks for this video guys...very cool, more please!!!
I remember Kvelertak were touring with high on fire and I told one of the guitarists working the merch booth that me and my buddy were hoping they were headlining haha, he was humble about it. They had way more stage presence and better songwriting imo. I know people like high on fire but there was no showmanship and the music seemed one-note, just a guy with a hairy round gut and a distort pedal in my face haha. Probably the only show I can remember going for the openers and leaving for the headliners
Totally agree with Sikth, Crowbar are one of the most amazing bands ever . They have their own following which is huge but they are a very underrated band
I can give you 10-12 bands just from Australia. Ne Obliviscaris, Karnivool, Caligula's Horse, Twelve foot Ninja to name a few. And do check Soen and Agent Fresco as well!
I would go with LOSA... No one seems to have heard of them. They only made one album before they broke up. It's called The Perfect Moment. Hard to come by but it is on iTunes.
I heard Banshee's album at work last year. Surprisingly Maiden-ish. Was not expecting that since their lone video/single was sort of average C+ hair-metal.
They’ve been brutally driving on pretty much non stop since ‘93 and when I’m wearing a clutch shirt , like now and pretty much always, people say “Is that a band or something?” But then you see a show and 2000 people in a small venue are absolutely raising hell to their live set. I fucking LIVE FOR CLUTCH MUSIC
Uchu Conbini. They have a mellow 90s anime style sound with the taps and open chords. Also progressive. also look up Daijiro Nakagawa, he's the reason that band sounds so good
Daughters of Mara. Because almost no one knows who DOM is, and they basically got screwed over from releasing their first album, I Am Destroyer. But they ripped. You can find their stuff on RUclips. Shawn's still sort of doing DOM, now.
I feel like Sabaton is highly underrated here in America. In Europe, they're headlining festivals and playing in front of 600,000 people. In America, they get a 45 minute set on the side stage at 2 PM. They definitely deserve more recognition in America.
The Dear Hunter is mine, the discography from that band is massive and the vocalists amazing musicianship needs to be recognized way more. Fuck the song Waves should be used in movie trailers.
When underrated bands named underrated bands :D
When gay nu metal bands give underated bands gay shouts
@@necroputo872 youre so mature
@@necroputo872 massacre are fucking lame ass death metal
@@necroputo872 gay nu metal bands lol wtf, that's a sad attempt to sounding more brutal
Never heard of this Coldplay band, interesting
I'll put this here just in case...feel free to add any underrated bands under :)

Ne Oblivisacaris and An Abstract Illusion both very underrated its insane
mark poop Amen. Two great bands. An Abstract Illusion and Ne Oblivisacaris's debut albums were perfect. They should be bigger.
Good choices, both...
Too bad Ne Obliciscaris's new album wasn't too great compared to their other stuff.
Citadel was their best imo
vZZenn it’s still on another level

Matt Allan and get back to me here if you like them!
Destrage is sick...I first heard a song from them at an old ASK THE ARTIST intro...thanks =)
Car bomb by far the most underrated band!!!
I've not listened to their recordings, but they opened for gojira in Chicago when I went, and they were horrible live. maybe it's just cause I didn't know the songs, but there was 0 clarity as to what they were actually playing. maybe it was just a horrible sound guy too, idk, but it was definitely not for me :\
Pedro Mora Truth. Crazy that no one mentioned them.
Agreed! Fucking love Car Bomb.
+Teddy Graham you gotta listen to the recordings dude. they are really out of this world, next-level stuff. Hell, the fuckin beatles didnt sound too great live compared to their recordings, and of course they didnt have all the instruments they had on the albums either. A great recorded album is a great recorded album regardless of live performance, and honestly Car Bomb is too technical of a band to really hear in a large room, especially with a bad sound guy.
thanks for the recomends, car bomb is dope
Maylene and the sons of disaster, their debut album of 2005 is some of the most filthy southern metal I've ever heard. It's simply fantastic
Brandon Wood i'm a fan of Underoath. After a few years Dallas Taylor leave the band i've been wonder where did he go. Then i found him with MATSOD. i was blessed. So i start a southern rock/metal band because of them.
II is so good
Brandon Wood Heyyy, I'm a fan of MATSOD.... Btw Dallas kinda sick now...
90s prog metal band - Conception. They should have been a lot bigger.
llongone2 Kahn is criminally underrated as a vocalist.
Fuckin rights, Leprous is amazing
Awesome. Underrated band?

glenn rodriguez Both Vektor and Exmortus are killer!
James Haygreen damn, these guy is like wicked version of voivod and coroner get mixed up together

X Japan (although huge in Japan but heavily underrated outside)
These bands deserve world recognition.
SIKTH!!! I never see them get love anywhere, awesome!!
Huge respect for Matt for shouting out Destrage. TRULY underrated.
Ne Obliviscaris
The most underrated band I know of is "in vain". They make some incredibly awsome prog/melodic metal. Their last album "Ænigma" is absolutly stunning!
Souls Borne That album name sounds too suspicious...
Klause Steinworth why? because of the Æ? Or am I missing a certain spicey meme? But seriously, you should check out the album, if you like melodic metal.
Souls Borne It's just funny since Ænigma is one letter away from Ænima that's all.
Klause Steinworth Ok, I get it :)
Black veil brides is the most underrated slamming industrial blackened death grind band ever. I didn't hear anybody mention them in this! Their vocalist Chad kroeger is inhuman
Dropkickpennyday95 The sarcasm is killing me
Dropkickpennyday95 ewwww..fuck that. my eyes are bleeding from that shit comment
el h that was kind of the point, so thank you!
Oh man, their first guitarist was Kerry King, way way before he joined Slayer. man I miss those early days.
Fendi-Bull Kerry King plus Black Veil Brides. I am now traumatized.
really surprised not to see KINGS X on this list. easily the most underrated and overlooked band in rock/metal period.
Totally fucking agreed with Mark. I saw Sikth live in Lausanne opening for Trivium, and got my “socks blown off”. I had a chance to chat with one of the vocalistsafter the show and he said they are coming back to Switzerland soon. Waiting…

Thumbs up for the bag of drum fills remark alone. Brilliant!

My wallet bled with great metal pride. It suffered so all of you could continue wandering in peace through the dark realm of teh METALZ
AS SATAN COMMANDS IT, SO IT SHALL BE
I have to agree with you my dude.
Thanks for The Budos Band, just checked them out, they are amazing!
A band called Kinghorse released a really cool debut album back in 1990. I confess I have no idea what they've done since then, but I wore that cassette tape out. Their music was stripped-down metal with great songwriting.
Attick Demons, HARDBONE, Alchemist, Black Tusk

All Hail The Yeti is pretty small and I definitely think they need more recognition. They're super badass
Totally agree with Sikth, Crowbar are one of the most amazing bands ever . They have their own following which is huge but they are a very underrated band
Fair to Midland.
Both their albums are masterpieces.
Fair to Midland man, sheee..
Since Devy doesn't mention them here, I have to recommend Grotus, those guys sounded like nobody else!
Love the Plini shout out from Englund
And I just love good ole Hevy Devy In general.. "Give love to??"
THE CROWN , most under rated death metal band to me.
I can give you 10-12 bands just from Australia. Ne Obliviscaris, Karnivool, Caligula's Horse, Twelve foot Ninja to name a few. And do check Soen and Agent Fresco as well!
Clicked for Tom Haake, pleasantly surprised by Devin Townsend. Of course he shouted out Cop Shoot Cop, lmao.

Clutch needs more recognition
They’ve been brutally driving on pretty much non stop since ‘93 and when I’m wearing a clutch shirt , like now and pretty much always, people say
“Is that a band or something?”
But then you see a show and 2000 people in a small venue are absolutely raising hell to their live set.
I fucking LIVE FOR CLUTCH MUSIC
Uchu Conbini. They have a mellow 90s anime style sound with the taps and open chords. Also progressive.
also look up Daijiro Nakagawa, he's the reason that band sounds so good
Just checked out C.B Murdoc. Excellent recommendation from Tomas Haake. What a find!
Sylosis. For sure in my opinion. They're usually loved by most people who hear them for the first time but I think they deserve more recognition.
Corrosion of Conformity. Or The Cult.
Dragged into sunlight is a pretty underrated band imo
prong. ..very underrated 🤘
Haji's Kitchen. They were doing the 7-string thing before Korn even thought about it.
funny thing ... i try to memorize the spelling of this band they mentioned "SIKTH" .... and justin from toothgrinder just wears a shirt of them :D
Madder Mortem!
Non-brvtal, but what the hell, they're great.
