Marlon Humphrey vs Shakir in the slot is a match that I like for the Ravens. By a lot.

Idk why if Turpin was cooking him in Dallas. Put JAD on Shakir or Tampa. Marlon is a huge liability at this point in his career.

I tried to tell everybody we match up well against the 49ers last year, nobody listened. Bills run first, we’re good at stopping the run. Our DBs match up well with there WRs. We just have to be worried about Josh Allen’s scrambles or booting out, we struggle with that & Allen is great at it.

Even tho the defense is considered bad because of the rankings right now. We did play Mahomes and Dak, who r easily in the top 5 for passing yards any year they are healthy.
Obviously we want to beat them especially when it counts but im not concerned about defense.
I do wish we would change up from having T. Jones and playing 2 DTs on field for 3rd downs on obvious passing downs and put in either another blitzer or coverage guy in to help that middle or b a spy for Allen type of Qbs
The middle of defense on passing downs is our weakness IMO.

Something I’ve noticed is that Roquan seems like he needs to carry the receivers deeper. Dak exploited that hole between the safeties in the linebackers again and again.

Or Kyle could be less shallow in lining up. Line up closer to the line.. communicate with your defense. The safety is the defensive QB for a reason and Kyle has been playing shitty for the past 3 weeks.

I want to see our defense punishing people on tackles. Look at this play at 21:03 as an example of how NOT to tackle. This 'bumper car' thing is pitiful and reminds me of PQ as a rookie. #16 (Max Melton) shows good recognition, but he needs to wrap Shakir up and drive him into the ground. There are 4 guys there and Shakir still gets away. Just awful! It's comical really😂

…. The departure of Stephon Diggs, and the Ascension of the Bills offense… no judgement on the subsequent descension of the Texans offense, it’s still early.
Overall, I think the NFL will auto correct sooner or later, in terms of allocating such large amounts to WR’s.
Very few teams have been successful (winning a Super Bowl) in the modern era while paying both a QB and a WR top dollar (market value for WR has soared in recent years)
In the right offense with a great quarterback, can and should elevate the receiver as well…
It’s understandable why Ravens fans have soured on Bateman, however I think if he had more targets, even if slightly, he good he a very productive player..
Even in Greg Roman’s offense, Bateman had more opportunities downfield.. I’d certainly like to see Dontez Walker healthy and on the field… just to see.
Also likes to see how the Bills utilize their two tight ends with Allen under center, with motion.
Something I haven’t seen the Ravens do (Ricard shifting…aside, my point, when Lamar is under center, it’s very predictable, and it’s not very creative) I’d love to see Lamar under center more… especially with Henry.
Likley nor Andrews aren’t considered great blockers, but neither is Knox or Kincaid… in motion, in space, they can take on second level defenders easily, and the possibilities in the play action game… with two TE (Not Ricard) because they are legitimate pass catchers, even Kolar..
Those guys aren’t good “inline” but in space they be great. We’ve seen Likley pancake DLinemen… smaller LB and safeties no problem..
I think what the Bills do with their two TE in the run game/ play action and Shakir (Flowers) is what Ravens fans imagined this offense would look like, except with Henry being the back.

Great preview Coach. IMO the defenses they have played have just been bad. From what I see our defensive personnel is better than their offensive personnel.
On they look small and not that fast on defense. I don’t see them matching up will our skill position group. Unless one of their D line have a Maxx type of game I see us moving the ball easily.
The Ravens are the better team on paper and on the field which brings us to coaching. Will we be out coached again is the question.

Personally I’ve always felt everyone over values receivers and under values O-line.(ravens fans always want a receiver like that fixes everything) Take away the once in an era receivers (who are only as good as the number 2 they play with) the difference between the top and bottom are very close and I feel the younger guys do better because they have better legs. Having two #1’s is great but if you can’t protect you can’t use them efficiently because it takes time to run down field. I feel the bills are so much better on offense this year. Defensively I feel they have weaknesses and hopefully we can just outscore them. Tricking Allen into thinking he needs to do more is when he plays risky

      @mobrown1198 10 часов назад

🎯 I’d like to piggyback on your comment…
If fans watch or pay attention to the trends, teams are running the ball more. Modern NFL defenses are designed to stop the pass, lighter LB’s, and lighter and faster edge players.. often playing with only two ILB who are blitzer, coverage guys… those types of defenses generally don’t fare well against power, downhill running game.
Offensively for the Ravens, the way the team is built, has more than enough “playmakers” / weapons on the offensive end.
I believe Lamar and Monken have to find a good ratio with having Lamar play under center… the have to find a common ground…
I liked what I saw from Henry in the screen game.
Bateman has been solid this far with few targets.
Likely and Andrews weren’t involved in the passing game and the offense still performed well.
Offensive line is a work in progress… I wish they could have signed Connor Williams and played him at the guard position… or just resign Zeitler… or Simpson..
where are the other developmental prospects that have been on the roster for two seasons?
If this is the best they’ve got. We only hope they get better.

The off schedule throws the bills run looks so fun to coach for. The play at 17:00 is something I think I'd enjoy seeing Anthony Richardson doing I just don't know what they're working with in a slot reciever. I could also see a similar play working with jayden daniels with his recievers put scary Terry on a scramble route man the NFL could be so fun if this got implemented around the league.

This shows how good using motion is on offense it forces your defense to come up with creative solutions to avoid being out schemed based upon the response to motion recievers so at 13:00 we see that miami was running man coverage on the motion reciever so how would a defense show that same look but setup the bills into making that pass a mistake? Would you shift assignments after the motion would you shift from man coverage to zones? How do you attack motion into reading incorrectly?

To your final point; I would almost counter Zach Orr should, from a strategic stand point, have a better 2nd than 1st half. I think you said it in earlier videos, but there seems to be a lack of adjustment?
