I grew up watching episodes of this with my grandparents in the early 90s as this was on the more 'cleaner' adult shows of the time. Which means that the puns and sexual based lines went over my head as a 10 year old.
Also I loved watching Golden Girls as a kid. the only episode that my mom never let me watch at the time was the one with Blanche getting a boyfriend named REX that was abusive to her and hurt Dorthy when she comforted him and that was the point that Blanche knew just what type of man REX was. (saw that episode later in my 20s and understood why mom didn't let a 8 to 10 year old watch that episode at the time)
Mom was really laid back on my watching the more older adult based shows of the area and I have fallen in love with the classic Perry mason and Emergency.

      @ Nora Gilotti
The ones for The Summer of '42 and Bunny Lake is Missing are good too.
      Used to love that magazine.
      And National Lampoon.

My favorites: Balmy and Clod (Bonnie & Clyde), Star Blecch (Star Trek) and Basically, It Stinked (Basic Instinct). So funny!!! Those writers were very clever.

Boy that parody from Valley of the Doll came true with a number of stars quiting Hokeywoke. May it go down. PERIOD!

The sequel was really bad too. Roger Ebert wrote the screenplay.

Great punch line. Both factitious settings in each story were actually set so close to each other.

As someone else commented, however funny, this skit just makes me think of how brutally Sharon Tate's life was cut short. Carol gifted us with endless talent and laughter that was brilliant and I still remember my late Mom and I busting at the seams at the skit "Went with the Wind". Thank you Carol, now 90 years young ❤
