Cool...thanks for the shoutout, you definately make it look pedestrian! Hopefully it starts raining on complete west coast to clear out the fires and smoke. Again, keep up the awesome videos and sick riding skills!
How to make your home town tails look like a kids trail ........... invite Jeff to ride them . Love you man , keep up the good work and Thanks for making these videos .
When I started mountain biking there were no flow trails, in fact there were no "mountain bike trails", bike videos, or guidebooks. Now days people are disappointed if they don't have GPS coordinates for the trailhead!
I didn't know you were a scout. I had a blast working at scout camp. Its where I first rode a mountain bike. Me and my brothers used to race bmx for years. All three of us are eagle scouts.
I'd love to see a turorial video on how you maintain so much traction on loose over hard trails like this? I'm in SoCal and I feel like I am going to die on this dirt if I lay it over like you do.
Imho Jeff is lucky not to carry too much mass, I think it helpes him squeeze the most out of those turns. That, and years of practice. I’m also sure he has had his share of spills to find his limits.
personally those are the worst type of trails, firstly you can hurt hikers if you are going too fast at the wrong sections or hikers are just being plain dumb and climbing up downhill trails and blocking way
@@cinnamonpd1116 proper back county trails you don't see that many hikers, and where I live there's only one bike only trail and so every other trail you ride is covered in hikers. If im gonna hit a hiker it's not gonna be on a back county hiking trail.
South/central Idaho has got a ton of your backcountry style trails. They will all be pretty steep. One I really enjoyed was willow creek near Baumgartner Campground. Definitely untouched from bike park builders.
Looks a lot different there without snow; definitely want to go back with the bike! Those trails look like really fun cruisers, but I think you need to work in some more manuals.
Hey Jeff, I rode Leavenworth this summer in the dust and I am struggling to adapt my PNW riding experience (wet, mud, slick) to the dust. I've had a few corners I've washed out in and injured myself and now I am overly shy about cornering in dust. Can you offer any advice or tips?
Hey Lars, I hear ya on that! Changing conditions is tough!!! First up, bike set up is easy, I made this whole video about EXACTLY this: ruclips.net/video/YiW-NMSElNs/видео.html. Beyond that, my cornering technique comes from years of dry California riding. I rarely trust the front wheel to not slide, which is why I get so far back and down and then pull backwards on the bars through the turns. These mellow berms are IMO some of the hardest corners possible. They are so hardpack that your tires can't dig in much, preventing proper bike lean, but they are so flat that they don't support a true "berm rail" technique. Here's some info on my general cornering style: ruclips.net/video/4WnV4FwedJQ/видео.html
The footage is very good! Could you please share which configuration you use for GoPro and to upload it to RUclips? 4K/30fps? HyperSmooth On or Boost? Sharpness, ColorMode, etc I really appreciate it!
Being based out of Bellingham and given the terrain that you can day trip/long weekend (including whistler) - do you have a recommendation for a one bike quiver? Two bike quiver ? Asking for a “friend” trying to convince his wife to move 😋
Hi Jeff, on most of the bermed turns, your handlebars looked angled down towards the inside of the turn, while it looks like the horizon is still level. Does that mean you were leaning more bike with upright body despite the turns looking like they all had some berm support? More generally, when you approach a turn, do you decide before the turn if you’re going to lean with the bike (ala Flow trail at Demo) vs leaning the bike while staying upright? Or do you adjust the lean mid-turn on the fly depending on feel/traction of the trail as you carve thru it? Thx!! Jack
That you can smell or not smell smoke doesn’t deem it safe/unsafe. Check out the AQI. Realize some things in regards to AQI too! Know where the monitor is as it could be several cities over or farther. The AQI reported doesn’t mean that it’s uniformly distributed; there’ll be pockets of lower & higher AQI. Also understand those numbers are considered for a person at rest and normally breathing, not someone engaged in physical activity, breathing harder, more deeply, and at a higher rate. If not be safe, make an informed decision.
Great video. I've got to bust your nuts a little.....if you're worried about the bears......you just might want to think about all the cats that have watched you in the past. Out of all three animals you mentioned, a young Muley is the finest IMO. Keep the excellent stuff coming.
So fas to a going in to good session's guy #JeffKendallweed and good a poll of the map but to web in thes trails bike's grates a thes marcs #thompsonridge in to paid team's. Saluds of chile 🇨🇱 🤘😀 🤘
Sorry! I tried to not have any peaking throughout, but my new audio recorder doesn't have a manual gain set, it only auto gains, so sometimes the settings it grabs are simply too loud. This is noticeable when I cut from shot to shot and the ambient noise levels are different. We'll see how many more folks it affects, but I've been posting videos with this recorder for a month now and most feedback is positive. I think it's better to have the slightly different sound shot-to-shot, as that provides a nice little bit of dynamic scene change. The old audio was so constant and flat it wasn't as attention-grabbing.
Jeff Kendall-Weed well thanks you for that explanation! Not really needed though😁 I basically was in my truck and started the video.. the volume on my truck was just set too loud😂 Great video! Love the content👏👏
Jeff Kendall-Well if you come this way there are a couple of RUclipsrs that would love to ride .. (me)Jason from RMBL.MTB and Nate from Bike Sleep Repeat . I also have a couple of guest rooms and would be happy to host . As you know we have some epic trails and would love to tow you into a couple. Just trying to share the stoke 😀
That's because you were one of the first to view it and RUclips hadn't finished processing it yet! Also, possible that your internet was a tad slow. It's full 4k resolution and pretty crisp if you select the 4k playback option.
Oh Will no offense taken on my end, and I hope my response wasn't too harsh! This file is 7gb so it took youTube a while to process it, so that's probably the deal. Wish I had 1 gb innernet! I do have 25mb up load speed tho- stoked on that! Thanks again for the feedback!
EBIKES…If you can’t pedal up w your own fitness, and you’re new/unskilled MTBer, you shouldN’T ride single/double track on an ebike. The time it takes to build one’s fitness to get to the top, where the DH becomes more of a challenge in regards to fitness, strength, and skill, is the time you need to develop what’s required to descend safely and not rip up the trail. Unskilled ebikers, with their heavy bikes and typically heavier bodies and now these super fat giant tires some are out on, are ripping up the trails. A skilled MTBer can have at it on an ebike, w normal sized tires, wherever s/he desires, but the rest should stick to the fireroads. This is coming from my perspective of being disabled and so I greatly struggle up the climbs, slowly add miles, vert, and technical.

Fought a big fire in that area in 2018 and I’ve always wanted to go back!
Thanks for the shoutout to Evergreen Methow, keep up the great work, both Jeff and Evergreen Methow!
“That’s good...because that means there’s food for the cougars” 🤣 Great video as always Jeff
Your videos are always visually interesting? Great editing...views, popping off stuff, manuals, interesting comments.

Man that looked fun, seemed like you were flying!
Great stuff Jeff 🚴 nice Views and Sweet Trails buddy 😉👌🏴👌

Epic trail. Just added this to my bucket list.
Great video, thx for giving me a new spot to check out!
That intro was awesome!

Tires and tire pressure. Oh yeah, and skill.
That manual thru those trees was sick man. Looks like you had a blast on that flow anyway. Ridin on marbles!
"hiking trails that bikes are allowed on" are my favorite kind of trails. Especially when im 10+ miles away from any civilization.

The title reminded me of flow at demo forest. Friggin love that trail, definitely on my top 5

Very cool, I have been riding there a few times this summer since Kamloops is off the radar this year.....sigh.
Wicked. Looks great to rock my hardtail stage!
*stache
Hahaha ya know, if some rain hits it, it could be rad on a hardtail!
That trail looked so fun! So fast!
It’s been really dry here lately too, did my first real drift the other day! It was squirrely but really fun!
Sounds like you should check out trails in the Dark Divide area in the Gifford Pinchot
You should make a duthie hill video the trails are great there.
Looks like fun for fast flow. Avoid hungry cougars for sure. Come ride Blue Lake, Hatchery Ridge for some backcountry gnar. ... And our new jump line.

Another Winthrop ride - buck mountain. Very old school riding.

Great video! What bomber fork do you have and how do you like it? Thanks
Nice flow trail Jeff
Beautiful there
You ever been to Beacon Hill in Spokane?
what air pressure do you run on your fork?
So flowy. You must have a blast. Good trail. #manualMonday
That was fun! It's always fun to see a trail on a map and then experience it in real life!
Hey Jeff or anyone in the comments, What is the name of this song?
How's the bomber fork?
Next bike test idea. Devinci Troy.
"Is this technical? Is it? (disappointed) no..." 😂
I do need to be honest, hahaha! I hadn't realized this would be so much of a flow trail!
I was hoping for a classic style trail not a flow trail when I rode it back in May. A little disappointing.
I need some ride lessons from you. Let me know when you come to Cali and I can show you some back country trails
What tires are you running?
you are quickkkk!!!

I am certainly not jeff but I think he uses a go pro karma grip as a stabilizer so it actually doesn't reflect the angle of his body. Just a heads up.
@@akjdhfkqwrhetkjanfvkkkresae thanks for the reminder about the stabilizer. Hmm, let's see what Jeff chimes in with.
OK Jeff, I need the song name now!
still waiting for the song name :*(
@@ChadLudlow I also need the song name
I need a Van man!
Good stuff!

It would be awesome to see legit telemetry of one these rides. Speed, g force etc..
"this rear brake needs bled". JKW then immediately pops a long manual on undulating terrain. lol

Looks so dry ..but fun
Cheers man- it was fun! Definitely dry, which I like, but the dry + hardpack = sketchy at times.
Any plans to come back to Southern Utah anytime soon ?
Plans to go to Arizona first, and maybe a UT trip from there if time allows!
