They both were solo artists also but as a group Buck was added to the group because Yayo was locked up at the time and Jimmy Lovine though having a Westcoast would help expand G-unit so Game was added.

If you learn the backstory, you don't have to ask why. You can't take hood actions on the road because it messes up the money. Some dudes are hard headed and take correction as belittlement. He was one of those guys. He had to be sent back to the hood because he didn't know how to keep it in line on the road. There were/are 2 parts of the G-Unit team. The street team that hands business and the road team that is either an artist or supports the artists. They are kept separately for a reason. All respect for Smurf because he realized his error in which he went about things. But it's tough to gain your trust back.
