What is not clear from IM on multiclassing is whether all classes will be able to equip instruments or spells books to utilize spell memory etc. No one will be able to use instruments unless they are bards. We'll see how this plays out

They 100% need to add a Parry system to every single class, I'm so sick of this RuneScape fighting.. the skill ceiling is so low . It's all gear based. With like the most minimum footwork tech required
I would have preferred more unique and interesting rooms than an arena, but it's a neat concept. I still remember the magic of playing crypts for the first time and seeing that giant skull in pyramid, also nerfing crafted gear is a god tier decision, legendries and unqiue's became the new purple this wipe with the terrible gear balancing. Only thing I'm really worried about is how they do the quests this time, I hope there actually engaging and interesting rather than being the drag and slog that they were, not to mention how overpowered the merchants became for people who completed all those annoying time-sinks. I would also say that melee combat still needs some tweaks, longsword is still busted where the middle of the sword won't catch a majority of attacks, and also there is still more room to add riposte like attacks to make more unique and artful combat techniques. I would like to see a longsword-like ability for a weapon in all classes, the rapier, staff and spear for starters.
I think people are fundamentally misunderstanding the multiclassing. Im pretty sure that the class master will offer a random selection of 3 perks/skills from ALL the classes, so you don't need to level an alt unless you are fishing for a specific perk/skill from THAT class.
My understanding was that the class master will have generic perks available and not class specific ones. I think he used the example of being able to use a longbow as something you might receive.

It would make sense for the class master to have everything but it's total RNG what you get and that the reward for grinding another class is making that RNG pool significantly smaller. I guess we'll see though, that was my understanding of it and I hope I got it right.
the game now is in a much better place than it was a few months ago but it is also a much different experience than when it was last on Steam. For the most part, the gear in general has been tuned down to the fights last longer and there are much fewer cases of being 1 tapped. It still does happen when there are major gaps in gear difference - though they are going to decrease that gap a bit on this next wipe. I do have to say that though I enjoy the game right now, it is going to change a lot more this next wipe with the introduction of multiclassing so we are probably going to see another large shift in overall balance. If you are on the fence about getting the game, you can always try it out for 10 days for free since there are going to be free friend codes sent out to everyone! Also it looks like the game is going to be on sale for a bit - I will double check on that.
Learning tokens don't come only from every level after 100.... in the top left corner you can see it says "next learning token level 75". Am I missing something @Ryan6DaysAWeek ?

You'd need to grab weapon mastery from fighter so you'd have the prof, then unlock the songs. This would probably be the same for non-casters trying to be casters. Since you need the prof to use casting implements.
So they’re basically saying for all the pvp die hard of this game thst the mechanics aren’t changing and you need to get better at decision making and choosing fights. this is just like tarkov where it doesn’t matter your mechanical ability to hit shots or whatever, you are limited and can be beaten by numbers or gear beside outlier experiences.
I really hope the multiclassing spells are a bit worse when used on a class that does not have them naturally i think it would kill class fantasy if every class could go rage - second wind
If they don't add a serious amount of parries I don't know if I can take these devs seriously. Disregarding a nuanced training system for an unrequested multi-class system is a bit of a joke. Keen for everyone to become barbs and fighters I guess.
It hasn't been obvious that DaD is Korean made. First they released the ridiculous fetch quests, which did make me raise a brow. Now they've revealed you need to grind one million hours just to multi class, and it's never been more clear.
It’s kinda lame they aren’t adding a chivalry style combat system, I think it’s way too easy to block attacks when you know exactly what’s coming and there’s absolutely no switch up at all, even if they added alternate attack sides with holding alt or something so it’s not the exact same every single swing.

choosing ur swinging animations for melee wpns would be so good for dark and darker instead of playing 3 animations like mordhau combat would be good for dark not the stupid dragging, acceling and broken animations i'm talking abt chambers and swing manipulation to hit other people no feints because feinting is broken asl
I know the pve farmers and teamers are hella mad they have to actually pvp in goblin caves now but thank god. I imagine they'll find a way to make spawn rushing harder by placing lots of mobs in between spawns as they have so many modules now but GC is also 2 floors so realistically theres still 18 rooms which is more than crypts has so theres a lot they can do w that. I found so many cheese on mobs that I thought they would never be able to fix and they did it. It will all work out. Hold that MF line.
Multiclassing was planned from the start. The game is no where near finished and doesnt have all the classes that were planned for it yet. Personally i do think its too early for multiclassing but at the same time id rather them implement some broken system than have them spend an entire wipe changing numbers on classes instead of completing there game. I bought the game with the knowledge that the game is no where near complete and am constantly shocked when they add end game stuff as in ranked HR/multiclassing. i understand they want to fulfill players needs but i dont think its worth spending all the time on the little stuff when they have an entire game to finish. Maybe its good they have multiclassing now as it will allow them to continue further developing the game. Id like to see a finished game before we worry about balancing/fixing systems.
like why add ranked normals when the games not even complete. Normals is strictly a battle royale portion of the game and not even the genre of the actual game. Waste of time imo
your videos are an absolute delight, but this whole update is awful. like accross the board, the multiclassing sounds terrible, the rogue losing it's defining hide ability, the lobbies will all be level farming, the game will 1000% not improve from this update and I hope they cancel it almost entirely. a change is starting kit sounds nice and rogues potentially being equal to other classes sounds nice
its honestly not bad at all. its dumb for sure but it wont play as terrible as people make it seem to be. The rogue class on any game is always about overcoming nerfs/changes if your not used to it by now or just cant adapt than go play fighter simple.
As long as the semi-transparency doesn’t glow in the dark, you can possibly just darken a room. If they end up balancing their skills when taking the total perks to 10, it might even work out better.

Depending on how difficult it is to get levels i can see this either being a nice grind or just a pain in the ass. Guess we will see.

those are "Reward Tokens" so just a random usable item you get every few levels until you hit 100!
