Pompeii is intense. Definitely worth the tour. Just walking through the city is amazing, they have lead pipes all over the place for water and the brothel/bathhouse wall art was particularly fascinating. Glad I never took any tiles 😂

I mean no offense. I understand why Simon isn't here anymore and I was really getting used to Carl. I am, however, really having trouble with this new guy (and not because he's not English). His delivery is an obvious script read where Carl makes it seem more authentic. A suggestion for this new presenter: change your camera angle. Don't talk up to it. Stand up and connect with your audience at eye level and also, when you "riff" try to make it more natural. I hope you do well. Also, there is absolutely no reason to listen to me but I felt I had to say something

I agree. The eye angle makes him look aggressive, like when you see two boxers staring each other down. It isn’t an inviting start to a video.

If I found buried treasure I would bury it again with anachronistic artifacts and discover it for the "First time" a few years later, that way even if the government takes the original treasure I can have a money spinner writing books about the *totally* out of place artifacts I found.

It is always the British Museum's fault.
Why? they were legally bought and we all know the reason they were just left to deteriorate prior and what one man did to save the marbles, Britain has faithfully looked after many artifacts and let any and all see them, it has been a bastion of protection to many countries heritage, countries whom have not been so good at preserving their own unless there's a buck in it for the state, Britain doesn't do this for the money but the hope they will be around for many many centuries into the future.
@@zargonfuture4046that might have been the goal then but now they could be returned and most of the original owners have the tech to keep these items safe too. If Britain isn't hanging on to these items for exploitation they should be returned.
