The brush is a drafting brush and is used to brush away eraser pieces. I went to college in the 90’s for architecture and we had a modern version of that same brush for our hand drafting class. Great find!

This “slicer” is a mandolin. Used for very fine, uniform slices. More recent ones have a guard to protect your fingers! There were so many emergency room visits that they finally made the guards! Thankful for the internet!

Those placemats look perfect to put in a chunky and interesting frame with a white mat or just to add some texture….even better mounted on a beautiful piece of wood With big brass looking nails in each Corner and a clip or clips added to easily display lil ones artwork in a beautiful way that works with your decor, a family recipe (my grandmother wrote all hers in cursive so they can look so pretty depending), or family pics too! THEY ARE GORGEOUS and perfect to add something different than just burlap or a plain matte. Just a thought!

J - totally love the haul ESPECIALLY the Architect's plate rack. Now you know I love it when you pull out the white paint, but I would modestly suggest you keep the plate rack unpainted. I know you are collecting a lot of white pieces and they would look great against the wood of the rack.

Hi Julie, like other comments, your mystery pots are hot water heaters. I have sold a couple for decorative use online. In the Persian language they are called Samovar. However, the ones you have may be of Russian or Turkish decent. They usually have another smaller pot on top with strong tea, then they dilute the strong tea with the water and usually drink in tea glasses. I would keep your crochet blanket/tablecloth as long ad you want to. They will always have resale. Vintage linens are fabulous! Thank you so much Julie for your delightful content! I really enjoy your shopping videos on FB.🌷

I know this is way off topic, but a while ago you found some corks and were wondering what you might do with them. I wanted to tell you what I do with them - I make bulletin boards. I use to sell them also. I use to work at a hospital and one thing I would do was when a doctor was retiring, would be to make a board with mostly plain corks and then I would have all the other doctors sign the plain corks. The doctors loved this because they had a memento they could hang up at home. I just purchased the lemon IOD transfers and can't wait to receive them. I enjoy your videos very much....thanks for posting.

Those 'dusty' white crocheted afghans are gorgeous !
You showed one a couple hauls ago that was very 'colourful'. Those were very popular in the 70's....anybody who had a granny, had one....but they fell from popularity relatively quickly. They even became synonymous with the epitome of tacky. 😆 However....as they say...'everything that's old becomes new again'.
The "vintage" ice-skates seem like they would fall into the 'antique' category. What an awesome find.
You continue to be so uplifting to watch...your enthusiasm is contagious.

The two small items you showed after the sock darning items are tatting shuttles. You wrap a very thing thread around the centers and it is used to tie small knots which form a lacy pattern. If you ever watch some on tatting, their finger seem to fly and the lace is very delicate and beautiful.

*What a FABULOUS HAUL, Julie...that wooden plate rack is AH-MAZE-ING‼️🙉🤎 Wish it were mine❣️💕🤣 Those vintage ice 🧊 skates ⛸️ are so beautifully old and rusty...and the design is most likely from the 1800's (daughter of Antique Dealers here, LOL!) If I were fortunate enough to own them, I would seal in the rust with a clear coat and call it a day and hang them on my wall for instant art and a conversation starter❣️🤎🤣 So glad to see you starting to embrace milk glass...I have always loved it. Those clear candlesticks are crystal, I believe, and are quite possibly Tiffany...definitely quality pieces. Please research them thoroughly so you don't leave any money on the table. Same with the McDonough (sp?) mixed-media art piece. Research it to make certain you get top dollar, Julie...you certainly have a good eye‼️ Sincerely, I loved everything you found...and I AM THAT GIRL who would have taken ALL OF THE ACCORDIAN WALL HANGERS OFF OF THE WALL - MINE‼️‼️‼️🤣🤎 Just think of how many flips you missed out on making a profit trying to be nice⁉️ Don't get me wrong; I am NOT a reseller and only buy for my own use. @@JuliesDesignsandSigns *🤣🤣🤣🤎🤎🤎👌👍I always say any time I learn something., it was a GOOD DAY‼️😉*
*As far as not always knowing what you are looking at, Julie, but picking up quality pieces - that is an innate GIFT that VERY FEW people have‼️😉 It really can't be taught. Sure, you can research and learn what is valuable and look for it, but what YOU HAVE is that 6th sense of what is special and valuable, without really knowing WHY‼️ I spotted that GIFT in you right away when I first started watching your RUclips videos. It's something I have always admired about you. I have been blessed with that gift, too - but for many years I thought EVERYONE had it, because my parents BOTH HAD IT, TOO - so that was normal to me. What a shock to find out once I was out on my own that this was NOT the case, and how special this GIFT is. I'm so THRILLED you have this GIFT, Julie❣️💕🤎*

Keep at least one of the crocheted pieces. The one you laid over the pew is beautiful.
