Thanks so much for this. I find that these are the best and easiest ideas I’ve come across for skins. Truth is, as a novice, I have my fair share of beautiful skins and I’ve dreaded throwing them out.
Oh really enjoyed this video. I've done some jewelry and magnets but I never would have thought about covering a book. This would be a great idea for Christmas gifts. Thank you so much for sharing.
These are a great way to not waste your skins I have made some magnets and necklaces ad turned out great. The bookmarks and book coverings are great ideas as well which never occurred to me. May try some of those too. I love them all. Very good video with complete instructions.
So Happy I watched your Easter Video because it lead me to this video for the Skins. I have wasted so much acrylic paint but no more. Thank you so much.
Wow, great ideas! Thanks for sharing❣That really sets my imagination off...you could make portraits, or scenery, or, or, or.. Whole new paintings 😊 I have a 3D triptych that is half complete and I have not been able to figure out how to complete it for a quite a long time. You have shone 🔦 on my path 🙇♀️
sooo helpful !! just created northern mockingbird for Bird Day with skins - your video gave me confidence and inspriation to just go for it ! i made acrylic paint background, then did the bird separately and glued on top of the already painted canvas -- i feel like an artist !!!
I have to tell you that I just recently discovered your channel and amazing talent. I am absolutely hooked watching your pour paints, resin creations and more. I used to also make jewelry and you have inspired me to want to make it again. Thank you so much for sharing your creative gifts and stylizations. God bless - can't wait to move into a home again to get back in the biz...
This was so creative and I enjoyed watching! Thanks for another awesome idea, I did something similar with nail polish a couple years ago but it didn’t look near as good as this! Another great video!
Love the great ideas for paint skins!! The book cover is my favorite!! Priscilla Batzell of expressionist art studio has done some great art pieces using them to embellish on poured canvases, two of my favorites are a flower garden and a hot air balloon piece
I needed this video today! I have made a lot of jewellery recently using Mod Podge Dimensional magic. I left books on to of my cabochons overnight so that the glue had fully dried, then I glued them into the trays. Initially it all looked awesome, I photographed everything ready to list for sale. About 4 days later I was bagging them and noticed several of them had de-laminated so there are now weird blank spots on them and they look terrible. I was so gutted! I think it may be because I used E6000 to glue them into the tray (because I didn't think Dimensional Magic would be strong enough) and it reacted with the skins in some way. I will definitely see if I get the glue you used here in the UK.
Hi Your work is amazing. Could I ask when pouring acrylic paint on silicone mat...how long does it take to dry? I thought after a week they would be dried but I'm thinking I poured to much like I was pouring on canvas. Thanks in advance.
I'm about to make my first attempt at skins and I wondered if you could tell me if I can peel pieces off polystyrene? I know for next time to use baking paper, but there's a fair bit of pooling under where I stuck the skewers in the nice soft styro foam. Thanks. xoxo
These are beautiful so creative! What kind of paper are the skins on? Or are they already peeled from whatever drop cloth/ plastic? Such a creative way to eliminate waste. 💖 the pendants and magnets are my favorite
Do u place parchment paper down before u do a pour to catch excess or where these done right on the paper for this purpose. Just wondering the easiest way to catch these!
I made several dozen pair of earring by cutting skins glueing on cabachons and then into settings, but MANY of them when dried at silver spots that have totally ruined them. I'm guessing the glue wasn't spread enough/evenly but I can't stand the thought of trashing them all! Is there any way to get the cabachon back out without ruining the setting?

Those are some awesome ideas to do with left over paint skins and nothing goes to waste.

I've made many of the jewelry but you gave me a great idea to use the skin for book cover. Thank you.
I love them all!!! I guess you can just make skins as a project as well.
Ohmigosh, I've been doing it the hard way, cutting out the shape THEN gluing it to the glass! You're a genius!! (no way I admit to being dumb)
Lol!
These are gorgeous!! I especially love the colors and design in the bookmark.
Great ideas! The journal was really cool!
This was AWESOME, Marcie! I had no idea it was so easy!
All of them are awesome ideas. I’ve done the necklaces and magnets myself. You make everything look easy peasy. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thank you! The thought of all the waste has been a huge block for me between watching videos like this and actually trying any of it.

Oohhhhh!!! I have a laminating machine... I totally need to do some book marks. and I have some scrapbooks that would be fun to cover.
And I learned to make my jewelry from you! Thank you.
I love the book mark.
I love the jewelry the best. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I was wondering today how people use the skins.

The jewelry is definitely my favorite
Thank you. Love the necklaces.
You've been reading my mind! Thanks for this instruction!
All are great ideas, something I will definitely be trying in the near future..Thank you for sharing ☺💜💙❤
Terrific ideas! Thanks for sharing
I scoop the excess paint up with a spatula and apply it wet to the jewelry. Then, when it dries, I resin seal it. I use the exact same necklace sets.
I love your project ideas 💡.
Love these! ❤️
Craft stores sometimes sell laminating pouches/kits that don't require heat. They come in basis shapes, including bookmarks.
You are AMAZING. Gonna do them all! Thank you.
Love that jewelry.
I love all the projects, but I think I would cover the back of the book as well.
Love all of them, and great ideas..
Oh my, I love them all😊
I like them all but I Love the book covers.
That's OK, Marcie. I didn't pass cutting in Kindergarten either! Lol!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You always make it look easy. Thanks for sharing...I've been wanting to do jewelry..gonna hit that Amazon...
Love the book cover idea. But it would be really cool to have both sides done if it was a journal.
Waaaayyyy better than the brown paper sack bookcover of elementary school!
I liked them all great ideas, thank you
Excellent tutorial. Thanks
This was so creative and I enjoyed watching! Thanks for another awesome idea, I did something similar with nail polish a couple years ago but it didn’t look near as good as this! Another great video!

Great job!
Great ideas! Thank you.
Looks great
Nice! Tiles?
Thank you
I think if you have the bookmark molds you can add the skins and resin over it

I did some paint pouring just to make acrylic skins
how long should I let the pouring cure before I use it to make jewelry
These are beautiful so creative! What kind of paper are the skins on? Or are they already peeled from whatever drop cloth/ plastic? Such a creative way to eliminate waste. 💖 the pendants and magnets are my favorite
Where do you get the jewelry kit that come with everything
Good ideers ❤️🥰🇩🇰
Do u place parchment paper down before u do a pour to catch excess or where these done right on the paper for this purpose. Just wondering the easiest way to catch these!

Jewelry
How much would you suggest to sell the necklaces, matching earrings or rings for
Do you have a video for making the cell phone cases
I also wondered if you could tell me why my skins are going wrinkled and if they can still be used?
Have you tried glazing the bookmark, as opposed to contact paper?
Why cant I find the jewelry kit or magnet kit you used? Are they no longer on Amazon?
Here you go www.amazon.com/dp/B07NT3N7WR?tag=onamzmixedm03-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B07NT3N7WR&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.1P2JDLOG57H91&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin
Book mark and cover
When gluing the skins are you removing the paper off the back?
I was wondering the same thing.
Can acrylic skins be stenciled, if so is there a video of the process
Maybe a dumb question, can you resin over the book cover?
@Minnie Marie Thank you 😊
Neck
laces
Wish you would sell the jewelry in your Etsy store
These will be going in my store with some others tomorrow :)
Beautiful!!! I didn’t see the link to purchase those jewelry pieces on Amazon in your description??
