While she uploads a video abt resume templates... u can find many on canva app or in canva.com to choose and edit and adjust your details in it.. I usually search CV and there's many to choose from and its very proffessional looking and more graphically appealing

You always say what’s on my mind. I’m a senior in high school and although I can’t relate to the job search, it parallels, I’m sure as you remember, to the college search. Everyone is busy with finding their school and applying and not knowing where they’ll be in a year for the first time ever. But then at the same time there are all of these emotional and fun senior moments happening!! Thanks for always reassuring me things will work out in the end if you work for it. I am 23 and still in a job hunt. And it is very hard. I graduated back in December and I've gotten an internship and now a part time job that has nothing to do with my major or what I studied. And it's frustrating because I am not passionate about what I am doing. I have an online portfolio and I keep up with my linked in. And I don't know what else to do.
Keep going girl!! Honestly persistence is everything and finding new ways to gain experience. Also networking and continuously applying to places! I had a very similar path to yours. Except I graduated last May. I'm starting my first full time job this coming week and I'm soo excited!! You got this!
you’re not alone and it will work out! after i graduated, i was hunting for 8 months, finally got hired, but only had the job for 4-5 months because the company liquidated. then was job searching for another 2-3 months until i landed a new role- that i start next week! i know job hunting can be brutal, exhausting, discouraging, envy-inducing. just keep grinding and stay as positive as you can. good luck, it will all be okay!!
I hear you and feel you but do not feel discouraged. You have to remember that there are millions of people who graduated the same day like you so competition is fierce and high but dont feel discouraged. I looked for a job for an entire year after undergrad and i learned so much about myself throughout that time. A few years after, I am a licensed social worker who excelled her courses in graduate school. I worked abroad, i am doing my best by paying back my loans, paying other bills and living because that stage was temporary. Remember this, everything in life doesn't last forever so hang in there sweetie:)

I’m nearly 25 and still trying to find a job that I like and fits my degree. :( I’ve had a bunch of random jobs that I got just to earn money, but it’s so difficult to land a job straight out of university that fits with what you studied. You’re so lucky, Katy!! X

I’ve been watching your videos for years and I remembered that I always loved your style of editing and design. So I checked out your online website and it has been so helpful! How crazy, I was just thinking yesterday about how I used to watch you years ago then I see an eco tools ad with you in it today. The power of manifestation, I’m so glad you’re doing so well ❣️
I graduated about a year ago with a lot experience under my belt, but still found it REALLLLY hard to get a job. My advice to anyone is don't just stick to what your college/uni offers you, try and get an intership with a local company or even volunteer at a charity. Just make sure you have something tangible to show a potential employer. If you say to an employer "I worked at .... in ... role" 100 other people can say that as well. Remember they are hiring a person, not a title. Key tip is to add in what you got from the role, Any stats of your successes. This is what makes you stand out!!!!!!
Hell yeah girl, the real world is brutal. I'm a newer nurse and even with the shortage of nurses in the US it's still so so hard to find a "good" job. Everyone wants a bunch of experience. I always tell people to be involved in college and show employers that you are a leader through clubs, volunteering, research, etc.

I’m working at Sephora right now and I can totally attest that getting into cosmetic corporate retail is NOT easy. You absolutely have to know someone to get into the industry. Cheers on your career!

Thank you for this. I recently graduated in May and got a FT job doing something I hope I don’t do for much longer but pays the bills. Lol. It’s been frustrating to look for jobs especially with minimal experience. Your video has been refreshing to me. Lately I’ve been comparing myself to others but hopefully w hard work I can be as excited to talk about a job as u are in this video!!

Oh let me tell you, I'm a senior currently in college and I don't think I've been this stressed out my entire college career. It's so hectic with classes, work, finding jobs relevant to what you want to do, and personal things
Someone who thinks the exact way I do. I dislike that "where will you be in 5 years? question. It's pointless because things are always changing and in 5 years who knows where we'll be. We can set our plans and goals in motion but it can all change with the snap of a finger.
It’s crazy because I have been watching you since we were both sophomores in high school ( we are the same age) and I graduated college at the same time as you! 10:05 can you talk more about scheduling phone calls?? Like what to talk to them about and tips for scheduling them?
I'm not Katy but I took a college class on this! Reaching out for an "informational interview" is basically reaching out to someone in the industry you're considering and asking for a phone call (or I'd buy them coffee in-person if they're local and available) to essentially pick their brains. Ask them what their day-to-day is like at work, what advice they have for people wanting to go into that field. And be sure to follow-up with a thank you note! You'll be memorable that way :)

Hey Katy! I’ve watched your videos since high school, which was when you started your freshman year at Elon, and I love your videos! You’ve been such an inspiration and a guide. I couldn't finish the video because I knew it's gonna be real. Will come back though. I know I have to watch for inspiration and boost of motivation.
After high school I started BA in Economics, almost at the end I realised I hate and I quit (I live in Europe, so we don't jave that major/minor thing with possibilities to switch). Then at 23 I enrolled in new programme : Culture sociology and management. So basically I will have my first BA at 27. And it makes me very anxious because I am basically 4 years behind of starting an independent life. And I need to work hard on my resume dor it to look appealing. So yeah, I will def come back tk fjnish the video! First half already loving it!

what do you recommend for someone who wants to pursue something outside of their major/degree? i have a degree in education but have recently discovered i'm more interested in the social media/marketing/event side of things (aka complete opposite of what i pursued in college) and i'm at a complete loss as to how to go about it
