Her new mixing technique is great for her and you can tell her voice is actually in a healthier state this time around. She's been pitchy a lot lately, I hope she works on that. I hope she starts working on her head voice more too. I would love to see her exploring more in the 6th octave with it.
Her belting range actually did end there up until recently. It's because she's mixing quite a bit more now, which is also why she's pitchier. Different co-ordination, so she's not entirely sure where her voice needs to be to be on pitch.

The only Bb5 and B5 that is so chesty!!! Most of the singers go super heady on these notes to avoid cracking and free up more tension. Yeah that's Demi, an extremely skilled vocalist who can bring bigger chest register to upperbelts! Not human!
@@shh4874 you're wrong! They were chesty and you can hear how tensed it is due to more chest dominance! Though it was headier than her belts before but it was still chesty and much chestier than most singers who hit those notes.
@@shh4874I don't agree. It was still so chesty, you can hear how she squeezed the note because she sang it with more chest. You can hear it sounded like a weak or less piercing sound because she pushed more chest voice and the imbalance created that sound.

Wow really? A C6 with chest voice dominance? I would've never have thought she was able to do that, I thought A5 was her top note in full voice. A singer rarely max out their range live my vocal teacher told me, meaning they rarely sing the highest note they're capable of doing or their lowest. It's too much of a risk, a gamble as your abilities can vary from day to day. Patti LaBelle maxed out her range once thought when she belted a D6, it was in that clip when she's next to Stevie Wonder. But a singer rarely does this so as Demi belted a B5 live we for sure know that she has more notes to go. I for sure think she can belt a C6, maybe she even can mix a balanced C#6 or a head dominant D6 with this lighter vocal approach she has going on. As a belter myself who loves singing high notes in full chest voice or with chest dominance, I'm so here for it! I wish she would perform with a rock band sometime like Guns n Roses, Iron Maiden, Steelheart or Skid Row as she's such a rock goddess!
@@gustavo.16 Oh my gosh yes, Sohyang's my vocal hero! @@saytrufsman4197 Yeah, it probably wouldn't be a chesty Eb6 cause it super hard to get that edgeiness of chest voice in notes that high, they naturally want to go more heady.
