This is really weird because I can relate to everything you're saying right now, I'm a freshman running XC in college with the same exact feeling. Infact, I even wanted to go down the econ route but hate all the classes I've had to take so far. The truth is I wish I could just being doing something fun like youtube or creating my own business like you say but I'm too afraid right now to take such a risk. Anyways, just wanted to say it feels eerily similar and I wish you the best.

I was not valedictorian but I skipped my senior year of high school before entering a top 20 university with 2nd year standing. School ain't for everyone brother and that's alright. What your describing about your grades I can really relate to that.
I'm in highschool, and it's all bullshit. Take this test and that test and that test with this gpa for 4-6 years then pay 40000+ to go to school for 4 more and work a low paying job for who knows how long. It absolutely insane, absolutely insane.
When I could get out of highschool bounce to N. Carolina become a puddle pirate (coast guardsman) and become a rescue swimmer save lives instead of giving away mine. No contest.

IDK Ideas the coast guard is the only non combat oriented branch of the US military, within it are many different career paths.
You could be a sheriff, aviation survival technician, helicopter interdiction sniper, even marine science technician.
Depends on what kinda job you want to do in it.

My family had 3 Generations in the US Navy, after Graduatiing Highschool, I was expected to be the 4th Generation continuing Family honor & tradition. At that moment, something hit me like a ton of bricks, an epiphany. The armed forces as much as I respected them wasn't for me. Was fortunate enough to have another option & played College basketball instead. My grandfather and father were very disappointed that I didn't choose Navy at that time. It was a constant struggle, many arguments at dinner time, ruining dinner & storming off. In college I learned to play poker and now play poker Semi professionally. Nowadays, I make $200k a year, own my home & drive a Brand New Car in L.A. Point of it all is this, use common sense but always follow your gut instinct. Whenever we're out it gives me great pleasure and pride at bars clubs, restaurants etc. When I'm fitting the bill for everyone. The relationship with my grandfather and father got better as well, once you reach a certain level of financial independence and success, That's when your peers and family members start to see the light almost like Sorry we didn't see what you saw back then... Anyways, I'm always looking for kids Ryan's age to hire as personal assistants but in this case it looks like I should be asking Trahan for a job or financial advice...💪🏼💯
