I wasn’t going to risk my life to obtain a pair. In 2018, I didn’t want to settle for a low top version. I was finally able to grab a pair via SNKRS shock drop. Well 3/3/2001 rolls around and my mom goes to our local malls to try to get a pair. She had no idea the sneaker stores did a midnight release so she missed out on getting these for me. She later made it up with getting me tickets to see Three 6 Mafia since they had a concert at the nightclub the same night I turned 18. I was able to cop these in 2010 and hope to grab these again for myself and one pair for my daughter. Side note: For some sneaker history, these were the first retro Jordan to drop on Saturday's., After the Space Jam 11's too many kids were skipping school so they switch to Saturday's after that.

It has been great to see that an overwhelming amount of people were able to obtain pairs through the shock drop. It was huge to see him wear the cool greys on court back in the day, a definite cop when thy release in December.

Wow great review. I love these and was patiently waiting for them to retro. I just hit on the SNKRS shock drop this past Monday and they should be here this Friday. I got lucky. I still have my 2001 Pair in the OG box, and I must say even though the soles have yellowed a bit, I prefer that old style of clear over the newer Icy Blue. But to each his own.
I just copped these last week from GOAT, and when i got them, during shipping it appeared there was an amount of weight stacked ont op of the box, and it caused a spot on the blue outsole and the black paper in the box to rub and leave a little black mark, kinda like the receipt paper ink, man i was disappointed, i totally plan to wear them and was able to get the mark out but still just kinda killed the magic i was looking forward to with these, but when i was lacing them up i can't lie i got a heavy sense of nostalgia, swept back to 3rd grrade when i had two classmates that were cousins and they were the two kids that always had the new jordans and they were getting new shoes like every two weeks i swear. I remember them having the OG legend blues.
That color of grey on your hoodie is very nice and matches up perfectly with the colorway of the shoe. Very nice shoe but I do like the 2001 version better because of the lower cut of patent leather. The higher cut hides the materials but still a great release. I think that these will do really well. Thank God that they are releasing a crap load of pairs so resale won't be too high in the beginning. So excited for your clothing line and your success because both of you have worked really hard and definitely deserve what ever comes your way.

It did, have a purple tint to it when it's first came out. My friend traded his pair for the Barkley because of that..purple was not a thing in NYC back then 😂. They were actually going on sale because ppl thought they were b-grade..tbh in 2001 ppl wanted the 16's

I was a sophomore year in high school during the 2010 release, I wasn’t able to get my hands on those but glad I just got picked up a pair early through SNKRS, I got a 2016 pair of Space Jams. I just need the Concords now 🤞🏼

In my opinion, of all the hoodies, that one that chris is wearing is the best looking one. I'm going to get one for sure, as it's going to be worn with the pair of cool greys that are on the mail coming to my home.

Just waiting on mine to ship. Not that I “deserved” them but man, when they first released I got played. Was 2nd in line with my buddy, went in, asked for my size. They told me they didn’t get any in my size. I left, went to 2 other malls (like a dumbass) and of course ALL GONE. Next day I saw another guy I knew who wore the same size and asked where he got his from? Yeah, the first store I went to, cats were backdooring like crazy back then. I was hurt. So now I’m glad I finally got mine coming from the Shock Drop. The low’s were cool but it wasn’t the same lol.

When these came out last I was in 9th grade, had no money, and ppl were getting jumped at the mall for these. As a 26 year old today I just ordered them off stock x to avoid having my childhood dreams dashed again cuz I ain’t wanna risk them dropping & not being able to cop!

I was able to hit on the shock drop. Just got them a few days ago. Quality is 💯. They are a true retro. They did a great job on these. I'm definitely going for aother pair in the 11th. Also trying to get a a baby pair for my first grandson. He is due at the end of March.
What's up Nightwing. So I won't be going after these because of the way that sneaker culture is and just moving on from Jordan's entirely. I sold every Jordan in my collection last year because I was fed up apps not allowing me to secure my favorites as well as always failing to secure at my local spots that I shop frequently. I got to a point where enough was enough, and felt that there were too many brands out that that was putting out better for lower, and or with better quality!

How’s sizing?
@@jeremymartinez6024 I went true to size. Imo..I think I could've maybe went up a half size maybe. Seem a tad tight, but I haven't broken them in and they seem like a narrower silhouette than other Jordans

Just waiting on mine to ship. Not that I “deserved” them but man, when they first released I got played. Was 2nd in line with my buddy, went in, asked for my size. They told me they didn’t get any in my size. I left, went to 2 other malls (like a dumbass) and of course ALL GONE.
Next day I saw another guy I knew who wore the same size and asked where he got his from? Yeah, the first store I went to, cats were backdooring like crazy back then. I was hurt. So now I’m glad I finally got mine coming from the Shock Drop. The low’s were cool but it wasn’t the same lol.
Grabbed these back in 01! Literally just walked into my local shop and scooped them. They did sell out that day but nothing like how it is today
Everyone keeps saying true to size. Personally I think you need to go a half size up with these. Toe box is a bit narrow.

I do remember the patent leather from back then and yeah i agree with you…they did have a slight purple hue to it. I was bummed a little I missed on the shock drop but hope i can get a pair when they release….couldn’t afford it when they first dropped. Those hoodies are sick!!! 🔥❤️😍💯🤓👐🏽

Another great review. Like you, I am just awaiting for a remastered retro of the "Columbia" "All-Star" Air Jordan XI 11. Hopefully soon. At least before I start walking with assistance. But, I am passing on this model. Just not a fan. But, for all those who are a fan of this retro colorway, hope you are able to purchase a pair.
When these came out last I was in 9th grade, had no money, and ppl were getting jumped at the mall for these. As a 26 year old today I just ordered them off stock x to avoid having my childhood dreams dashed again cuz I ain’t wanna risk them dropping & not being able to cop!

It's an all grey sneaker. Too muted for my taste and for that price. People will rock these a couple times and that'll be it. Nostalgia for sure!

I was able to hit on the shock drop. Just got them a few days ago. Quality is 💯. They are a true retro. They did a great job on these. I'm definitely going for aother pair in the 11th. Also trying to get a a baby pair for my first grandson. He is due at the end of March.

What's up Nightwing. So I won't be going after these because of the way that sneaker culture is and just moving on from Jordan's entirely. I sold every Jordan in my collection last year because I was fed up apps not allowing me to secure my favorites as well as always failing to secure at my local spots that I shop frequently. I got to a point where enough was enough, and felt that there were too many brands out that that was putting out better for lower, and or with better quality!
