Secretary Clinton understands Ukraine clearly and in detail. Iran is more complex, Obama says not being more vocal during the green revolution was a mistake; I'm not so sure. Clinton's take is more nuanced and, I think; more correct.
I agree with Clinton. A revolution has to come from within. If they believe that the U.S. was behind it, then both sides would think they need to unite against us, the common enemy, and the movement would flop.

This is particularly true in the case of the US trying to influence Iran in any way, we messed them up pretty bad with help from the British.
