Whenever removing interior panels or things like this, have some silicone lubricants available (liquid and grease) and use the opportunity to relube the exposed moving parts.
I appreciate your time in doing these videos. This saves me again a lot of money as the car service gives me an offer for this replacement about 12000 HUF...
It doesn't take much, when you can buy a much improved after market piece, like this. I did this in England for a rare car, a Terracan from Korea. Their gear changer plastic cover wasn't too good. It just wore down in months. So I contacted a European factory who produced Italian leather replacements. Absolutely super. Any colour stitching you want. Thanks. T.

It is glued to the stick. I had to break the old one with pliers, then grind the top of the stick with a flat file, and glue the new one. For the new one to fit in the stick, I had to make the hole bigger with a dremel. While you do it, leave the gaiter in place to avoid plastic dust not to fall in the gear mechanism of below RESPONDER

The gaiter bends down when you put 1st and 2nd gear, its why it had holes. Did you figure out a way to avoid it?
