What no berserk does to a mf
Kentaro Miura was an excellent artist. The deluxe editions really make me appreciate his art.
Love owning them, though I only have a few. Hope one day ill have a full set so i can continue to stare at the rest of the panels for hours on end in what i think is the best way possible.
If pull out the deluxe edition you have on your shelf and look in the back with the blown up manga covers you'll see that the volume 3 cover with the dragon actually has a human face. So Guts likely killed an apostle.
13:34 Yes vol 28 is probably the most iconic picture, Prime1Studios have made large statues of that exact pose, which is amazing. People that don’t even know Berserk have seen that image.

vol 40 is definitely S tier you're trippin Ryan. It's the only black and white volume with that noir aesthetic and it shows Guts as a dog. It's as good as vol 34 cover imo, maybe even better

Where would you place volumes 41 and 42 in this list?
I’m not the biggest fan of Berserk covers or spines, especially the spines. I love colourful volumes. My top 3 spines are Bakemonogatari, then Assassination Classroom & then Akira (hard covers). I just got all the volumes of Heavens Lost Property in Japanese and they’re all bright baby blue, they look so nice on the shelf.
12, 13 & 40 are my favourites.

Vol 3 is my least favorite by far. The combination of kid Guts with the dragon slayer just ends up looking horrible imo
