Our org started to use Miro/Mural for collaboration but since the UI is too simplistic, and too easy, it doesn't get taken seriously and so it becomes second choice and users are less confident to use it because they feel their work also lacks detail and complexity, despite Miro/Mural both being very powerful tools.
Working in another engineering company, I disagree. Having easy interfaces really benefits the employer. They can hire contractors or part-timers that do not need extensive training to use the machinery if they are straightforward to use. Dealing with the dangers of work environment and the safety is part of the job of the system logic programmers, factory foremen, work safety representatives, and so on. Trying to save on paying those people to do that as part of their job instead by trying to solve it in the user-end is anti-human.
Everyone knows what cardiovascular is. It is just two words that have been made to one. Cardio from the greek word kardia (d sounds th) meaning heart, and then everyone knows what vascular is. And everyone also knows that if you have cardiovascular disease, then you probably need a percutaneous transluminal angioplasty. No one say anything about the balloon thing.

Working in an engineering company, interfaces van be too easy. Sometimes you need to make people think, using sensible defaults can be dangerous
