Thank you for the comment and for watching. You are exactly right we try to get the young ones out as much as we can. They are our future rockhounds for sure. Thanks again and we appreciate it! 🙂
Yes sir, we appreciate it buddy! We’ve been getting some rain, so I’m looking forward to getting out. The heat and humidity has been tough and we are sure looking forward to the fall. Good Bless and happy hunting my friend! 👍🏻
@@historylooker7 we always are blessed when it rains in the summer. I hope you get some too. It can be very dry here in Tennessee during those months. 👍🏻
Thank you my friend for watching and leaving a comment. We try to bring our kids as much as we can. Thanks again and we are looking forward to more of your videos as well. Take care! 👍🏻
Thank you sir, we really appreciate you watching. End of last year was tough due to the drought. Just makes digging much harder. Looking forward to 2023! Thanks again and God Bless! 👍🏻
I really enjoy your videos. I live in TN myself and absolutely love metal detecting, rockhounding, artifact and fossil hunting. I started very young with my papa and have picked it back up the last few years. I have found a lot of flakes and brokes. I found one beautiful quartz point at a friend's property and can't wait to find more. Can I ask you a question? What constitutes an optimal dig site for you guys? I was actually digging a target I had picked up with my metal detector and by sheer luck I dug up the point. I have a few really good permission spots and just wondered if you had any tips or advice. Thanks so much and keep the videos coming please and thank you 😊
Hey thanks Leah for watching! If your finding breaks and flakes your on the right track. We like to find a spot that is just above the flood plane and close to a nice bend in the Creek. Don’t be afraid to dig deep and try to get to the hard packed clay layer. Dig some test holes and sift for flakes. Also pay attention to the depth that the flakes and artifact are coming from. Sometimes you won’t find anything until you get down to a specific layer representing a specific time period that the native people where in that area. Have fun that’s the most important part. Thanks again!

Hey Jonathan we appreciate you leaving a comment. I’m not very familiar with Benton Co but if you will look carefully around waterways where there is a sharp bend for flakes and then dig a test hole just above the flood plain you may have some luck. Have fun !
Awesome groups of hunts brother ! Great finds ! Love that the young ones have an interest in our past time, thank you for sharing
