We all love Kevin❤️ he’s is soooo talented. He is a classically trained Cello player. My understanding is while Kevin & Avi were roommates while touring with the bland, Avi was teaching Kevin how to sing. Avi is a classically trained opera singer. This video is from their early years and today Kevin has grown into a magnificent entertainer. They all have. Kevin has many impressive videos of his own. Check them out. Kevin is an awesome beatboxer, and many people are learning that he’s very vital in the production and rearrangement of the music PTX performs. I saw them in concert last month and believe me, Kevin shines through out the entire concert; in his singing, his beatboxing, and his Cello performances.
😃👉YES! K.O is EXTREMELY TALENTED, IMO from the other A capella groups around he is THE BEST! You missed the lyrics on his lead which were "Can I play for you" meaning he is "The drum". K.O LOVES being a beatboxer, and we LOVE when he sings a lead because we know his vocal potential, and it's SUCH A TREAT! but like i said Kevin LOVES his main role in the group!!!
I think you are ready to dive into 'The Recording of Evergreen' a short video about them producing their Evergreen Xmas album. It is a fantastic insight into how they work together and shows the '6th member', Ben Bram. The behind the scenes wizard who has been with them since the Sing Off. The way they mesh is amazing and Pentaholics are happy to watch it over and over!
This is in my top 5 Pentatonix songs, and it's ALWAYS a special treat when Kevin gets a solo. It's one of their earlier songs but still shows their talent.

Kevin might be your favorite (no problem there) he does have some solo projects out there. Avi has a wonderful solo career now he is an amazing singer songwriter, his music tends to lean Folk/ Americana. He does have a bluegrassy cover of OutKasts Hey Ya. Some cuts off of his Floating on a Dream album do lean a little more country. Would love to hear what you think!
I'm with Heather and Stephanie in regard to Avi' solo music. My favorite part(s) in this video? When Avi goes from his upper baritone solo and duet with Scott and drops cleanly and fluidly two octaves down to "the basement". As a bass, he's known for that ability to drop and maneuver clearly, that skill honed not just by natural ability, but also by his operatic training in college. And he continues taking voice lessons to this day, to hone his craft further, and to protect his voice while on tours.

I know "your man" is Kevin, but you should check out Superfruit's Rihanna Medley and Beyonce. It's only Mitch and Scott, but it's music you would really enjoy and can feel. There harmonies are quite exquisite together.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Kevin could beatbox, play his cello AND sing at the same time? Two out of three isn’t bad but I wouldn’t put it past him to figure out a way to do it! Lol. His beatboxing is integral to the group’s success and he handles his challenge beautifully ❣️
