This woman is the best interviewer, totally opened him up and let him go.
Gosha is a really interesting person and this interview is great. Love the way he brings the Russian skate culture/lifestyle and combines it with an aesthetic that is appealing to the West. Glad to see him making waves across the globe and his appreciation for youth culture.
there is no russian skate culture tbh skating in eastern europe is almost non existent to this day, when ppl say skate culture it's just a safe way of saying street fashion but avoiding the obvious far right influences from skinheads & hooligans.
I think the interview would be much more interesting and genuine if he'd spoken in his mother tongue.

People trying to talk shit about Gosha's english speaking skills, but completely ignore the horrible interviewer. At least Gosha is showing up and trying to explain his work, trying to be more open to the world, while the interviewers lexicon is only capable of saying "I find it interesting..." and a light "mhhmm"

This is how we all dressed in the 1992, 1993 in our Canadian suburb before grunge and graffiti hip hop completely took over? Some of the jackets and t-shirts are almost exact to what we'd wear. I couldn't afford the Fila jackets or shoes but we tried our best to steal them or buy used versions. All of his stuff reminds me of my Canadian upbringing particularly the logo sportswear. It's Russian but probably has some connections to suburban North American youth too. Probably why it speaks to those demographics who queue for this stuff.
I feel like I've always seen these aesthetics in UK magazines too, yeah. Buzzcuts, skaters, suspenders, skinhead styles, pouty lips, shirtless boys, hoodies... So 90s suburban London, no? Maybe I'm just old and have seen it over and over. I always assumed this was just suburban skate kid, not specifically Russian.
Oh, I see. So that kinda 90s stuff had an influence and then kinda never left? Kinda like how Hood By Air black and white logos and sweatpants are hitting Spain and South America youth right now.
all he does is just copy those styles of the 90s. This man is a joke, he sells old stuff at an exorbitant price.
yeah he's basically selling the edgy 90s slav look to pretentious hipsters. kind of how rappers suddenly started dressing like british soccer hooligans. it's very cringe to us but to them it's something new i guess. no ideas original

IMO This woman is not the best interviewer.. Sometimes she ask "too hard..." But this guy are real, he dont trying to act something... That's why this interview are so realistic...

Gosha says that’s he do all his work by himself, he draw the sketches, do photo for lookbook . Who know, maybe it some kind of national feature. Because I spoke with my mom earlier and we feel the same and I see this in many of our people. Mom say, that it psychology of poor, working class people and all this time I tried to get rid of this . He’s a fucking Russian. No one said he was a fucking English teacher goddam look at his clothes most of them have spell outs is RUSSIAN. He does not need English’s and tbh his vocabulary and delivery are very good. His pronunciation is weak but so? His art form is clothing not oratory.
