- “Come Together” was a song I started thinking about when the pandemic hit this year. I shared a solo piano version of the song in late March. Then came a great opportunity to raise funds for some wonderful organizations with friends and legendary rock musicians to create a fantastic new version of the song. Please enjoy what Lzzy Hale, Slash, Gilby Clarke, Linda Perry, Blasko, Matt Sorum and I put together while completely separate from each other as we found a way to come together. Please enjoy...

This 30-40 second solo is way better than most guitar solos I hear today... They just don't have that magic--the melody, tone, dynamics..it's not the same anymore. Nowadays its just playing as many notes as you can instead of creating melodic phrases and having rests between the notes.
Exactly. And his solo here might be an on the spot improvisation too.

The guitar solo by Slash is so GOOD! He really has a sense of tone and melody, no mindless shredding just a solo with great timing and dynamics.

I sort of have to agree though I loved the energy of it in the chorus but the shouted verses were a bit much for me

Good GOD Lizzy! Everyone was great but that last section when Lizzy goes up an octave just blew me away. She is such a badass.

I’ve seen Halestorm live with godsmack and I thought her vocals absolutely suck imo she would scream random parts and talk the rest of them out and it was very off key. Only part that was cool was the guitar and the drums

anthony Schaeffer I’m pretty sure I was at the same concert, seemed to me like the speakers were not balanced right. During the first group to go up I could barely hear the vocals, then during Halestorm first few songs I could only hear vocals and then it went back
I've heard her sing better in other things than I think she does here, she's just shouting here, just my very humble opinion....
