Hey Creatures!! Here's the very first in my brand new Creature Feature series! Let me know which animals you'd like to see most! Big bear hugs to you all!!
Em I cannot thank you enough for choosing not to put music in your videos. Not only is it distracting, but I have a neurological disorder called Sensor Processing Disorder, and it makes noise overwhelming. I am able to watch all your videos and be able to focus on learning about these wonderful animals, with ease. Finding videos without music is so had now a days and it s really nice to just be able to watch in peace.
JackilynHasEeeman I'm so glad that you're enjoying the videos. I think a few of my earlier videos had some music, but I prefer my videos not to have music anymore. I hope you continue to watch for a long time :)
"His tail feels a bit like a squirrel's tail, if you've ever touched a squirrel's tail" *said as though that's something totally normal that everybody can relate to*
I never understood how someone could kill such beautiful creators just to makes clothing. In my opinion, if its not for food or if the animal isn't some kind of pest that is actually causing you harm, it should not be killed specially for something like clothes. Plus, faux clothing and real both look exactly the same and faux clothing is much cheaper so why even?
Also I don't know if you've experienced chinchilla fur, but I'm not sure you could make faux fur like it. It's more fluffy than anything else I've ever touched. I have pet chinchillas and we regularly joke about turning them into ear muffs. I would never, ever condone killing animals for fashion, but geez, that fur is something else.
I've always wanted chinchillas, my mom and I looked a long time for an appropriate cage which was big and long enough and which wouldn't rattle when the chinchillas jumped against the cage. Never found one so we thought about making a custom one, but then I went to college and my mom doesn't have the time to take care of them and give them attention so I never got them :(. I did have gerbils though, they are smaller and less dependant and overall easier to take care of. They wash themselves in a sand bath and they only poop in one place so they are really clean animals. I used to make my mom save all the cardboard boxes and empty toilet rolls from her job and I used to make cool mazes in them for my gerbils, and let them run free alot! I loved them so much :D Sadly they passed away but they had a happy life :)
I wish I had time, space and money to keep a chinchilla because they are so cute.. but alas.. I don't, and it'd be highly unfair to the animal so I just.. admire from afar.
I used my last space for an even bigger mice enclosure and another tarantula, and now it's just.. stuff everywhere. EVERYWHERE. and then everybody is throwing around their bedding and it looks like a complete mess..
Yeah, I have a hamster too, as well as two bunnies .. it's really always messy. Especially because the bunnies have the entire room to themselves, pretty much. But they still have a big bunny cage with bedding and a toilet so they just carry it everywhere or start to dig around in it. Everyday's cleaning day!
At my college I do animal studies, and I was cleaning out the chinchillas and one of the adult chinchillas came up to me so I stroked it and I was shocked because my hand when right through him CHINCHILLAS ARE JUST PUFF BALLS!
Omg Em he is adorable! His whiskers are so cute! 😍 the pee thing though 😂 got to admire a piss fight 😉 Can I just say that I love how passionate you are about animals. It really comes through and you explain everything perfectly 💕
I feel you pain being an animal lover, but being allergic to everything with fur! I've got 2 cats and a dog, so if I was off my meds, talk about a neverending sneezing fit! lol ABSOLUTELY love your vids! Never stop doing what you love!!!
Thank u Em! I’m really thankful that u take the time and effort to educate people about pets they may be getting “chinchillas!” And u want them to make sure that they are all the best. Thank u sooo much. Em! And because of u my parents watched ur videos and allowed us to add chinchillas to our family!
I think you can't be allergic to chinchillas, that is quite impossible actually. It was probably because of the food/pellets or mostly the dust :( But I am so sorry tho :/
I love this channel and the creature features. Thank you for putting something positive about these animals on RUclips. There is so much negative, it is a relief to see a responsible positive view on animals on all different types.
You probably won't see this, but In case of an emergency (like a fire) How would you move your animals? I ask this because I'd say 7 years ago I had around 10 animals and there was a fire, it wasn't bad to the point where I had to leave but I'm curious as to how you would move them. thanks if you see this. don't worry I'm down to 5 animals.
Gurl I have an entire plan. Here's that but summed up: have a bag around the front door (I'd say find a military bag on amazon) packed with essential pet supplies, like a bag of food, food and water bowl, and a pet safe first aid kit. obviously you'd need things specific for different animals so those things could be added. also wherever your pets' cages are, keep a smaller carrier right beside it so you can easily open their cage, get them out and into the bag, then outside. remember, even tho you'd wanna save everything like decor and stuff, but all of that stuff is just materials. Materials can be replaced, your pet can't, so even if you can't save a single thing other than your pet, then that's perfectly fine.
obviously that bag would only be for your pets, also have one for yourself and pack a first aid kit and at least 1 weeks worth of clothes and extra toiletries.
I'm a Deer. I don't have that many animals, but if I did I would have mobile enclosures on hand. For example, have smaller tubs, cages, and kennels on hand that can easily be prepped in emergency situations. Maybe have a hand truck/collapsible cart with wheels ready so you can stack everything and go?
CuteFluff 47 I love animals too except bugs or insects unless it’s a lady bug or rolly Polly don’t know how to spell it or butterfly buts those are the only ones that don’t bother me the rest do they scare the hell out of me
Awe adorable! Miss my two chinchillas (Handsome & Chilla the chinchilla). Love your videos & how knowledgeable you are, it's great to see animal videos where the person actually know what they are talking about. Looking forward to seeing more.
OMG finally someone who has the same problem as me! I love animals so much, but I am also allergic to almost everything with fur. At some point I just tried to accept it... although it is really hard when you want to keep a dog...
There are some almost hairless breeds. Very expensive but hypoallergenic but I’m pretty sure poodle are hypoallergenic so if you want fluff then get a poodle or something part poodle they also don’t shed. And once I got to hold a sphinx and they feel like peaches! I’d love to have one and call her peaches but they are very expensive sadly. If you go looking for a dog try a poodle or a hairless breed. It’s sad that you have this allergy. It’d honestly be torture to me I wish this problem didn’t exist. But please do research before you adopt on as I’m not a breeder or professional if you are looking for something but many people say they’re hypoallergenic. I hope you get or are able to handle dogs in the future ❤️
Love HIM !!!!! so cute :O I love the idea of this series especially since it's full of facts and information! Definitely something I would look forward to watching! - Love from Ireland
Just found this channel and I am wondering where this lovely gem of a youtuber was hiding. I am binge watch all your clips. I'm addicted and a new subscriber. Someone who genuinely knows animals and doesn't BS to people saying they're great pets for everyone, but has knowledge and will be honest. I'm so glad
Hello em. I've been obsessed with your channel lately. I'm so happy I found your channel. My whole life I've been around animals. At the moment I have 4 cats. A fish. A dog. And my Guinea pig passed recently. But now I want to get a leopard gecko. So I want your advice on how to take care of them. Any tips?
I use to have 4 chinchillas (only had a maximum of 3 at one time though) and they were small, fluffy and adorable. My friends loved how fluffy they were as well. Also them having a sand bath is so cute. I'm going to stop ranting about chinchillas in the comments of this 4 year old video now and actually watch the video lol. This probably also wont be seen by anyone which will be sad. Also I'm liking my own comment because why not My chinchillas ages when they sadly passed were 20, 18 I think and we were told an age when we got him so he would have apparently been 12 or 14 when he died but we think he was older that and the other one I can't remember their age because I was young when he died and I know all the chinchillas we had were male. Also when we had chinchillas there was chinchilla fur all around where we kept them.
Wow, I adore Chinchillas and the fact that you got right to the point and explained it very well makes me anxious to get one riiiiiiiiiiiiight about now! 😭😍 Can't stop watching your videos. You're super beautiful in & out! Just wow. 😩💕
i would LOVE to see a video of you talking about how you got involved with animals and your life with animals. you mentioned how you have been working for animals since you were 10!! that's so amazing!!
I have a chinchilla that's 16 years old and still doing great! Yes he is alone but he wasn't always like this. He had a brother but he died much earlier than him. We didn't want to stress him out too much with introducing another chinchilla, though we had another one for a brief moment but he was way too aggressive, so their cages were just next to each other. That other chinchilla was so aggressive he'd shoot pee at us and bark lol.
Very informational!! My friend used to own chinchilla (which sadly passed away), and I didn't know much of these facts! Glad you made me explore chinchillas more. :) Keep up the good work!
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! I barely knew anything about chinchillas before watching this, but they are really interesting! Also, I'm a new subscriber and I've been binge watching your videos non stop! ❤️ I would LOVE to see bat and birds of prey videos. Such gorgeous animals.
gurllllll I totally get you. I am allergic to almost everything. I really love animals and have a great passion for them sadly I don't have time to care for them :((. Lucky my uncle has alot of coral and fish, a dog, and a bird. Every time I go see him I run to dog and play with her which she is such a cutie, but I start sneezing like crazy. And i love watching the fish eat but then I start to flare up and I get this bad rash which at the time and I didn't see the doctor for but i have to use this cream and everything, but since the birth feathers and the dog hair was in the air I couldn't really handle it. Watching your videos honeslty feels in that gap that makes me wanna own so many animals but because of my allergies sadly can't. Thank you so much for making these videos I hope you see this cause I barely started watching your videos and already in love with your animals and you. You have such a great personality and I can tell you really love animals 💖😄
Marina Silva fun fact is that you can't be allergic to chinchillas. Its all about chinchilla supplies like dust - that may cause an allergic reaction. "Pet chinchillas are considered a good option for people who suffer from animal allergies but still wish to own pets. They produce little to no dander, one of the main carriers of allergens, and are less likely to trigger an allergic reaction" 😊😊
Ronnie Lovegood thank you I never heard of that before, but I am definitely gonna look into cause I have been really wanting an animal, that I can handle without sneezing 5 times in a row.
Hey Em! I know this video is well over a year old by now, but I wanted to send you a big "thank you" here because this was the first video of yours that I watched. After a year of pet fish, my daughter was asking for a pet that she could actually touch and hold. While a dog may be an option in the future, it is not an option at this time (let's be real...as a parent of a 6-7ish year old, any pet we have is probably going to be MY pet for a while). My sister, a zookeeper herself, thought that the two of us would really enjoy owning a chinchilla. And as cute and fluffy and sweet as they look...after doing the research and stumbling on to your channel, I had to admit to myself that a chinchilla would also not be a good fit for us at this time. The most surprising thing about all of this was how you really helped open up the world of reptiles to me. After the chinchilla I thought about geckos. I thought longer about a bearded dragon. But a little over 3 weeks ago, after half a year of pondering holdable pets, we finally welcomed a little corn snake into the house and we are just so in love with her (me probably more so). She is so sweet and curious and I am so excited to raise her and watch her grow. Thanks again for your channel and all the work you've put into it! I can't wait to see what comes in the future. - Katie Morris County, NJ P.S. The video of Dobby and Niffler playing in the packing peanuts is on my daughter's list of best videos ever. She loves the ferrets!
he's so calm!! I have 2 chinchillas and one, Titan is literally a racecar it's insane how hyper he is. MY 2nd boy, Helios is SUPER calm I could hold him for hours.
New to your channel and im inlove with it! I cant have animals where i live and i love them so watching u bring me and my 4 year old so much joy! Thank u for being kid friendly
@Emzotic, i watched about 11 of your videos tonight, i absolutely love your channel and chinchillas. when i was younger my babysitter had chinchillas and the other girl that she was babysitting had put her in water and that chinchilla got sick, but she lived. but thank you for teaching me alot about animals and have a wonderful rest of your day.
When my friend was younger she had a pet chinchilla and she brought it to the zoo. My friend had to go to the bathroom and put her chinchilla down on the ground and it got eaten by a snake
Hello. I am new to your channel and I was wondering what you do I want to grow up and work with animals but not in a pet smart or somewhere where animals aren't treated correctly thanks
Kawaii Kaye That's a tough one. I've left a few different animal jobs where I haven't been happy to work with animals in certain conditions. There are great small companies out there who really care, and there's nothing to stop you opening you own business where YOU call the shots xx
Hey Creatures!! Here's the very first in my brand new Creature Feature series! Let me know which animals you'd like to see most!
Big bear hugs to you all!!
Emzotic I loveeeee this video
Emzotic I would be interested to see a ferret
spicy 5562 yeah me too
spicy 5562 I agree 2 but I love all her vids not just this one
You guys are the best ☺️
My chinchilla learned how to throw things like poop and food at me when she wanted attention. I thought I should share.
TheXkid21 mine do the same thing! They'll throw sticks out of their cage when they're hungry
I'm late to the party, but mine jumps onto the walls of her cage and shakes the entire thing when she wants attention
TheXkid21 when my chinchilla is made he throws his food bowl
Mine screams when he wants attention.

I relate, I don't have a sensory disorder but ADHD, so not having music makes it so much easier for me to focus.

I have the same disorder and agree completely it is refreshing to not have that music
Also they have another way to protect them self. That is to push you away with their tiny hands. Which will melts your heart

Faux fur isn't as warm though, which is the biggest reason people here wear real furs (if they do). People in warm countries don't need furs though.

P.S. The video of Dobby and Niffler playing in the packing peanuts is on my daughter's list of best videos ever. She loves the ferrets!
SOOOO CUTE!!!!
This is by far the most informative chinchilla video i've seen so far
Hi Em love your channel!
Oh my god I love this series, and your love for animals❤❤❤ Bless you by the way
Olaf is so cute
wow this series is just perfect. Cute animals and a soothing voice with a lot of interesting information. Keep up the good work 👌💞
I'm allergic to everything with fur and surprisingly I'm not allergic to my chinchilla at all
he's so calm!! I have 2 chinchillas and one, Titan is literally a racecar it's insane how hyper he is. MY 2nd boy, Helios is SUPER calm I could hold him for hours.
Wow, that was very informative! You're a cool person. May I ask, what is your job that allows you to encounter so many animals?
I love the way you talk. It's relaxing.
I had to subscribe
ahhhh you make me so happy and i enjoy watching your videos so much... i learn something new everytime!!
Does anyone know what her job is or where? I love animals and her job seems like something I'd absolutely LOVE

You made me want a chinchilla now
@Emzotic, i watched about 11 of your videos tonight, i absolutely love your channel and chinchillas. when i was younger my babysitter had chinchillas and the other girl that she was babysitting had put her in water and that chinchilla got sick, but she lived. but thank you for teaching me alot about animals and have a wonderful rest of your day.
When my friend was younger she had a pet chinchilla and she brought it to the zoo. My friend had to go to the bathroom and put her chinchilla down on the ground and it got eaten by a snake
😳 must have had a fluffy texture. But mannn... that’s horrible and sad.
Lol don’t take your prey animal to a zoo.
I really like these creature feature videos, your voice goes all educational and soothing 😀
awesome video very, well educated. what is your job? don't you think he chinchillas feet are weirdly proportioned to there body!?!
Ce petit animal est trop mignon 😄. Merci pour votre vidéo très intéressante 🐭🐭💖💖💖

Your videos are so informative and I am so happy about that. I think it really helps to choose the right Animal!
I still have my first chinchilla and he's 19!!!
Is he living alone? That would be sad.
I love your channel, your videos are interesting, cool and I absorb information like crazy and I love that! keep up with the great things you do!!
Emzotic okay thanks for responding asap!! And I thank you for the help!!
you've made me want a Chinchilla even more!!! so excited
