I got one of the pork loins last month and cut it into 17 pork chops. Got another this month and cut it into thirds. I made mojo pork this week yum. Between the pork loins and the 5 pounds of chicken drumsticks and 4 pounds of fish sticks we are set for protein!
Last year around Christmas, I made batches of spiced candied walnuts to give out as gifts to people. Like you, I get a lot of walnuts from my local pantry. It was a great budget friendly gift and I heard nothing but good things from everyone who got some
Love that haul as there are so many possibilities of things you can make for any meal with those items! Sounds like you are feeling better, hope everyone there is having a good week!
I've used walnuts in breads, muffins, cookies, on top of salads, in chicken salad, and I've even put it in a food processor until they are breadcrumb sized and you can use them in the breading when you coat chicken or fish. Good stuff.
I just got one of those pork loins from the food bank and i made pork chops and put a chunk in the crock pot with potatoes and sauerkraut and pork spaghetti, the spaghetti is so good, nothing like regular spaghetti. Cut meat in bote size pieces, cook in olive oil and garlic and then add tomato sauce and basil and a little more olive oil. I know you guys aren't big fans of spaghetti but you should try this for them. Small batch is what I made because it's just me.
I'm vegan and make a mock "ground beef" type thing with lentils and finely chopped walnuts. Great for tacos, shepherd's pie, pasta sauce, "meat" loaf, etc. I love watching your videos!
Make a “Green Bean Thing” dish. I do 2 cans of green beans (drained and rinsed; extra sodium, gross), one can of water, chopped onion and some butter. Do a sauté kinda thing with it. Then add some cream cheese and once it softens enough to easily stir into the green beans, add dried cranberries and chopped walnuts. The seasonings I use is salt/pepper, garlic/onion powder and some red pepper flakes. It’s actually kinda yummy and you can’t tell that the green beans are canned.
I'm not a fan of nuts in my food, only on their own but one time I had banana walnut pancakes and they were so good, I've never been able to replicate the flavor and the person who made them has since passed. But yeah, long winded way to say.. eat banana walnut pancakes! 😂
Coffee and walnut cake, walnut pesto, use instead of pecans in a pie, there's a Persian duck / chicken dish with a walnut and pomegranate sauce, pear, walnut and blue (or goat) cheese salad, spinach and walnut quiche, honey walnut bread. Make fish pie or fishcakes, usually go down well with kids.
My pork loin was a filet smoked with applewood. I need to cook it today. I put it in the fridge to defrost yesterday. Some fish stinks and tastes like stinky fish some doesn't. i found fish steaks are usually pretty mild and white fish. I haven't had any fish like my mom cooked and yelled at us to watch out for bones.
What a nice haul you got 😀 I make a pork chop dish with apples, onions chicken broth and about a table spoon of real maple syrup that I thought of when you showed the pork loin, but not sure you can do the syrup...? It's very yummy and different with little simple ingredients like you like to do....
It is so nice that they do pair up items. We have some that just give out more junk food than real food. When I donate to the blessing box, I try to pair up items to make a complete meal.
I found that i like candied walnuts. You can mix it up by adding cinnamon or a spicy seasoning to change up flavors. They are a great snack or great on salads.
Every year we clean our walnut trees we bake all nuts off our different trees and store them in 5 gallon bucket with moisture pack never eat nuts raw. Our nuts ladt over ten year's. We also pay out emergency assistance out of paycheck besides taxes like buss transportation. So if your paying get it back. Read all your bills people and start getting made your paying these no work people besides taxes.
So nice to see that you're sounding better. And also nice to see that you received very good and useful things. Because let's face it sometimes you can go to the food bank and sometimes they give you things that sometimes you don't know quite what to do with it. God bless you and your family.
We had our local food pantry day last week. We handed out bags of frozen blueberries too. There were a lot leftover so i was able to bring home 8 bags. I've put the majority in the freezer and made jam with some.
My grandma use to make a walnut cake and it was delicious
Hope you had a good day

I've been really enjoying danish' lately. The carb and sweet just give me a small boost when it's hardest to stay awake.
Pork loins are so versatile

I do that too. Also adding mushrooms adds bulk and savory.

That sounds delicious.
Nuts are good on salads or added to smoothies or even pancakes.

Your video just showed up. So I watched and subbed. You got a wonderful haul. Blessings 😊
You can use walnuts as a meat substitute. I’ve heard it’s quite good.
Great haul!! God bless you all!!❤❤❤❤❤
You can make “salmon patties” with any kind of fish. Just soak it in some saltwater overnight and bake it, then flake it and make fish patties
I seen walnuts added to ground meat to stretch it also seen pesto made with walnuts just throwing itboutvthere
I use walnuts in homemade granola.
Hello Weeping Willow. I toast walnuts and add them to make pesto instead of pine nuts. I make spring onion pesto with them and we find it delicious.

You can also take a pork roast and do it like Mississippi Roast or cube part and use like a beef stew. Both are awesome!
What a nice haul you got 😀

What an amazing blessing!
Using walnuts in chicken recipes is common in many countries. I've seen walnut crusted chicken and satsivi
Walnut butter (like peanut butter)
Coat them with sugar glazed glaze
I can't pay taxes anymore they won't let me. Income is too low
