"You kinda took my man." I don't think Sansa gives a damn that Margaery took Joffrey from her lmao she was smiling afterwards.
That scene of Catelyn telling Talissa about Jon Snow catching pox is one of the best dialogue scenes. It's up there with the Cersei Robert marriage conversation from the first season. It starts off as random chatter only to take a sharp turn suddenly and the subject matter gets heavy. It hits you from nowhere too cause you expect Cat to name anyone but Jon. Michelle Fairley always puts everything in her scenes.
That one Ned and Cersei scene in the courtyard is up there as well

The "Brotherhood without banners" is led by the guy Ned Stark, while sitting on the throne for Robert, sent 100 men to bring the King's justice to the Mountain and summoned Twyin to court.
When he left with his 100 men, Ned and Robert both died so these 100 men had no "banners" to follow any more so they created their own brotherhood without banners.

What the Tyrells do in this episode is get the intel on what makes Joffrey tick by being kind to Sansa and then Margaery flawlessly executes it in front of Joffrey by being the submissive, enabling type : "I don't believe a woman's place is in hunting", "you're the king. You shall do as you please" type shit. But one thing I will emphasize is that we haven't seen anything from Margaery that is truly evil. What we've seen is a very ambitious woman who is willing to do unscrupulous things to climb up the social ladder the only way it was possible for women to do so at the time. I think it's tempting to put Margaery in a cartoonish 'evil queen' box because she's manipulatively jumped from Renly to Joffrey, but the alternative would be rolling over and taking abuse like Sansa or being sold like cattle as Cersei was. The deception is necessitated by self preservation. Margaery is def a pretty complex character.
Agreed. Also, I think her "caring for the little people" thing was real. I don't think she's a bad person at all... Just necessarily manipulative.
@@fluffylittlebear 100%. Fully agree. Nothing says ambition cannot co-exist with genuine philanthropy. You can understand that visiting the orphans will improve your PR among the masses and at the same time you can genuinely care about the wellbeing of the orphans. I like that it's not black and white.
@@icewinddale2675 Yeah I feel the same way about RUclipsrs recording themselves helping the homeless. Sure, they're doing it to make themselves look good, but some homeless people get food and clothes in the process. I've never seen anything wrong with it. If anything, I think that sort of behavior should be encouraged, rather than condemned.
Probably the most excited reaction series that I follow but this 2-3 week per episode uploads are really killing the excitement.

I have watched every episode of this reaction since season 1 til now and have not posted a word, just enjoying the show and the banter between you two but when Steejo sang out when your legs don't work like they used to before, I spit out my fanta all over my monitor :( haha damnit that was funny

My cousin finished it in two weeks, and by the end she was rambling off from plot to plot and season to season, then when I asked her what she thinks of S8, her face empties and it sours.

Fun Fact: The banter that Jaime was giving Brienne was them practicing for the scene and he was trying to make her laugh and the director thought that was better to put into the show rather than what was written in the script

This shows why Margaery is the hottest on GOT. It’s not just that Natalie Dormer is drop-dead gorgeous, it’s that she knows exactly how to get pretty much any boy/man to fall in love with her. Even for someone as psychopathic as Joffrey who has shown no interest in normal sex (at least that doesn’t involve insane amounts of graphic torture and violence), she was able to get him excited and enthralled with her simply by appealing to his lust for violence and killing.
The night is dark and full of terrors 🥶😎

The boy in Bran's dream was the same actor that played Liam Neeson's stepson in "Lovve Actually" if you've seen it. It's my favorite rom-com. Sansa was relieved when Joffrey set her aside. She was never upset about it, but she was naive enough to think Joffrey would let her go home. Lord Karstark said Cat warned his men would think if he broke his oath and didn't marry Walder Frey's daughter.

Thoros of Myr is probably a poor choice for Arry to draw swords against. They don't really give him his due in the show... but in the books he's easily one of the best fighters in the Seven Kingdoms.

@@MMAisTHEbestSPORT08 well he was one of the best during Ned's tournament if I remember correctly. He was like the 5th one or something. Only, Jaime, Loras, the Mountain and the Hound were above him.
And him and Dondarrion were the main reason why Tywin didn't handle Harrenhal. Ser Beric was one of the most respected knight of the Kingsguard too along side with Barristan. So I think it's pretty safe to say that both of them were in the top 10.

It's been years since I first saw this season and I still haven't figured out why in seven hells was Jamie trying to escape from the armored and armed escort that is taking him home. If he managed to escape... she can keep going the direction they were already going and find him. It's conflict for the sake of conflict so they can get caught.
Because the idea of the Kingslayer being escorted home by a woman like a lost child is too pitiful for words in this society.

-Margaery and Joffrey scene, probably is one of the best scenes. The way that at first the bow was point at her (joffrey couldnt care about her position or what house she belong) and slowly she turn him at her favor. Unlike Cersei, Margaery was cautious and read every expression, he was doing. Every word she said, she was reading him, and seeing if it was safe to explore or not! Margeary took the bow, and now she was holding it, front of a mirror. Showing, she have power over Joffrey!
-Olenna Tyrell is a interesting women... notice how she came clean to Sansa... she even mention that marrying Renly was treason, or how oaf was her son trying to make Margaery a queen... while it was true, she did this to have one porpuse in mind... to make Sansa safe, and tell what she wanted to hear. So the Tyrells are playing a different game.
-Cersei is alive or in that position, because she had other people working for her and doing right moves. Joffrey was dismissed but Cersei was having that conversation to turn Joffrey against Margaery. She knows that Margaery is no fool or amateur, that could be easily control like Sansa was. She fail to understand that 3 powerful houses are now connected. House Lannister, House Tyrell and House Baratheon. And using this alliance against Robb Stark. Cersei is so blind for power that she doesnt realised the big picture. The difference between Cersei and Joffrey, is that she had always someone controlling or restraing her moves... Robert (despite how horrible husband and abuser) and Tywin (only interesting in one thing)... Joffrey doesnt have that!
If you Suzy likes dynamic between Bryenne and Jaime, tell to yourself lots of your followers like your's between you and your man : )

"I'm so afraid she's gonna go straight to Joffrey and say you killed Ned Stark"....Yes. Because from everything that we have seen from Margaery in Season 2 and particularly in the Season 3 premier where we spend all that time with her at the orphange and the dinner table, she totally came off as someone who will risk her position to be a beacon of justice for Ned Stark. Picking up on the psychology of a character should not be this hard. It's not rocket science., you should not be this off the mark with like half the characters.

None of anything that's happend to the Starks is Lady Stark's fault. What ARE you talking about? The mind boggles lol As for her "not being a nice lady" in relation to Jon, her husband returns home with another woman's baby. Is she suppsoed to accept him with open arms? Be realistic here. And no, that's not Jon's fault, but it's certainly not hers. One of the great things about GoT is the character writing is that we're dealing with real people not 2 dimensional characters. Jon Snow, whislt he was at Winterfell was a constant reminder to Catelyn that her husband was unfaithful. That being sais, i'm unsure what else you're blaming ehr for (if you are balming her?) 😀
Well, she was the one that made Ned go to kings landing in the first place. She arrested Tyrion based on little evidence and against Ned's wishes putting her family in kings landing in danger, she trusted Littlefinger blindly leading to Ned trusting him as well and being betrayed, she made a deal for Robb to marry someone without discussing it with him, and she let Jaime (one of the best hostages Robb could ever have) go. So yeah, there's a lot that is Catelyn's fault. Yet somehow Sansa seems to get more hate despite her being a child when she made her mistake while Cat was a full grown woman.
Forget the tiny little detail where she arrests Tyrion and thus sparks a war?
@@SweenyTodd98 I completely agree, Catelyn caused a lot of problems through her actions. There's much to admire about the Starks, but they made some extremely poor decisions.
