When I was young I had terrible cramps every month. What wasn't known is I had a deformed uterus. Anyway I was talking about it with my sister and my father opined "You know it's all in your heads, don't you?" How typical that when doctors don't know what it is they dismiss it as bullshit.
Thanks to Prof Wolff. It was so good to listen to his summary historical materialism, after years of hearing his analysis of current affairs. Everyone has their own personal affinity for Marx and Engels, and Prof Wolff's take is delicious in its own way. And he hits the philosophical basis as well without even a trace of technicality or jargon! He even brought Einstein into the discussion. I have a feeling that the professor's colleagues and students have gotten this treatment.
We are not children and their teacher. Religion is the same. It is a world of perspective not world of reality. However I respect Karl Marx. Greed must not released in every society simply because greed is bottomless vessel and never filled or satisfied.
There are branches of Marxism that do not support the vanguard. Rosa Luxemburg and left Communism most noteably. I do agree it has a similar structure to religion in some regard but I believe that's more so to do with our social development and neurological motivation. Humans seem to require a way to share ideals, behaviors and understanding the world. Sharing an "inner world model" imo, much like how Emile durkhimm posited a shared social consciousness in any society.
"Process" is a Latin word not Greek. The plural form is same as for the words "excess" or "recess." "How many recesses do the kids get in a school week?" "The debauched excesses of the ruling class contradict their moral prescriptions to the poor." "Most of the processes of the human mind are unconscious."
or 'What you see is what I see ' (or 'what I tell you to see is what you will see' or 'what I see is what is real and you better see it that way too or else'.) the wretches get you coming and going if you let them.
I was educated in Marxism since early school grades. In Soviet Union everything was supposed to be Marxist, seen in class approach. What a release it was to get out of this dead end and discover other theories.
@donalvarez4006 Marxists build up society in Russia where there is only one big capitalist -- the communist party -- and everyone has to work for it forever, with no exit. Just no choice. This is not for profit, of course, but for a bigger goal -- total control of the world for communists. So I don't mean the exploration of workers is good. But communist dictatorship wants from a worker even more than bourgeoisie in capitalist world.
You were taught progressive ideas, but you chose to become an ordinary stubborn donkey. Many young people deny learning and school. They live in their illusions and the monkey world of undeveloped intellect and unaccomplished experience.
...where the democratization of the workplace takes place under a constitutional (disestablished of religionism) republic that evolves toward enfranchising the analytical groups into a wholistic unity?
The "Incan empire" had a system of labor and distribution like non other. One would give an alloted time of labor to the state and the state would provide you everything you need in life. When you married you would be given a plot of land the size determined by its quality. When you died it returned to the state. When you had a child you will be given an aditional piece of land and so on. In times of need or emergency you could go to any of hundreds-thousands wharehohses throughout the empire and take what you need. Be it food, clothing, tools, etc. If you ignore their ruling royals and elite class, it worked better than anything ive come across. Post hunter gatherer. 🇩🇰
@@Lovin_ItWhy classify people at all? We are all individuals. Sure, classify groups to perform studies, but Marxists are using classifications to divide the people and instigate hate. That’s the whole game, and it pathetic and wrong.
Professor Wolff is irreplaceable. We chase him all over the web.
That we do!
I cannot claim to have thought about everything you mention here if not as deeply, but I feel it’s a track I can relate to.

Always known term surplus as profit
"Entry Point," makes sense. Great Talk. It is wild to see the mass indoor smoking in old movies.

@@imperson7005 Marxism and Communism differ.
Then what must be done ?
Change people's consciousness first of all. As long as they live in the paradigm the rich are always right. Nothing will change.
@ I say we need to build organizations any where we can even two better none

was the grass really greener?
“What a release it was to discover worker exploitation is good, actually.” There I fixed it for you

Why isn't the Dialectic of Capitalism vs Socialism synthesized and resolved by a (vigilant & rationally regulated) Mixed Economy?
...where the democratization of the workplace takes place under a constitutional (disestablished of religionism) republic that evolves toward enfranchising the analytical groups into a wholistic unity?
So long as class societies exist, there can be no resolution
You can’t have respect for preditors

Total Savage!!!
It is inhumane to classify people into economic groups
Suggest an alternative that is humane, yet informative
That's why we're communists. To end that classification materially
Acting offended is a way to avoid engaging with a dangerous critique.

I'm proud to identify as working-class. The best class ;)
😮 is he talking about the government cuz that's what I see them doing
