- These are our Pod 1 & 2 puppets for Little Shop of Horrors. Pod 1 operates from the bottom of the can. A hand hole in your counter/planter box is required to operate it. It also has the wilting effect operated by Seymour. Pod 2 is a traditional hand puppet worn by Seymour. The fake arm and gloves are included, but the windbreaker is not. The pot is worn with a harness so Seymour doesn't have to support all of the weight.

Yes, the hand, the glove is so casually on the side of the second pod: "oh, we forgot to hide the hand", well, a good move! ;-)

😮 theatre kid here, I am always blown away by the tech for Little Shop because from my knowledge (albeit limited, I dated some tech guys in hs and have an interest in learning abt the tech aspects of puppetry cus I think it’s neat) it’s an absolute NIGHTMARE of tech to put on, you need to have like, four puppets at least, all of which need to be able to visibly grow, one of which needs to be able to eat props, and the largest of which needs to be able to eat ACTORS, and most of em also need to be able to move fast enough to talk and sing.
CRAZY from a tech standpoint especially since the biggest ones are probably SO heavy it’s hard to operate them fast enough to sing. I’d be interested in seeing how all the puppets work if you wanna share that (to this day I am *baffled* by how the lips articulate so well on the film puppets, even knowing it’s sped up and scaled up)

Thank you so much! The pod shapes are all varying foams (depending on the pod). Mostly L200 foam.
Cool! Did you put fabric to cover them or did you just paint the foam? (Also the moving tounge is super cool. I didn't notice it the first time watching this but then I saw it at this was me →:O
