Like this so that it helps everone attempting IELTS. Before reading the passage, look at the questions and read first question and underline the key word for that question (take 2 questions for true false not given because 1st question might be not given). Then start reading the passage it takes no longer than 8 minutes. When you find the underlined word in the passage mark it so that you know the answer is in a particular paragraph. After you finish reading the whole passage look at the questions and try searching answers where you marked earlier. Trust me this is much more effective. Also keep in mind the questions which comes in order and doesn't. You don't want yourself to search answers every time from the first passage
Hi Asiya, thanks a lot for the video, I only have one thing to suggest here and is to do the matching headings type of question first and that’s because it doesn’t need detailed reading of the passage. You can just skim the list of headings first with underlining keywords to have an idea and then read first, second and maybe last sentences of each paragraph and choose one heading and cross it out from the list. As this will make it easier to answer the following questions that need more details since you have already collected some information about the passage as a whole.
1 read question no. 1 then read passage to find the answer >>> Missing word, true/false/NG, yes/no/NG (opinion - except coming very end of section), multiple choice 2 not in order >>> Match heading (do other task first, don't use any option twice), match paragraph, match information, list answer, sentence ending, question at end of section

Hello Asiya, Thank you for your IELTS content on RUclips. This helped me achieve my target score. My scores are L-8.5, R-7.5, S-7.5 and W-7.0. Without your course content, I would have been next to impossible to achieve this. Thanks once again.

Does these tips given differ for IELTS General training and academic?? Anyways, I am in love with the way you've been putting together the hacks. Thanks 👍👍
But what if all questions look same ? I have gone through many reading sections, and trust me all passages look almost same. How to tackle such situation :)

I went from 5.5 to 7.5 in a week and a half. I give you the tips that helped me: - Practice the readings that you find on RUclips and have the same format as the IELTS. - Take the time while you solve them. - Don't waste time reading the entire reading and answering later. Look first at question 1 and find the answer in the text, then at question 2, and so on. Most of the questions are in order with the paragraphs, that will give you an idea where the answer is. - Do not waste more than 1 minute and a half in each question, if you do not find the answer, go to the next one because it is very likely that after solving the next question, you will find where the answer to the previous question is located. - The central idea of the paragraph is usually in the first or last sentence. - If you don't know an answer and you don't have time, use chance, there are no points against. - Super important: take the time while you solve various readings. In my case I had to do several exercises to learn to manage my timing and nerves. - During the exam you will be nervous, so it is important that you practice several readings to get used to solving the exam with techniques. Pd: in my personal experience I discovered that it was not useful for me to read everything and then answer the questions because I was so nervous that I did not remember what I had read. I tried different ways to solve the readings until I discovered that the third tip I mentioned works best for me.
@@ximenr7276 thank you for the useful information 👏 And I have a question. In reading when I have to choose the heading of each paragraph, what should I do? Do I have to read whole paragraph?
For the matching headings, you can find the headings by not reading the whole passage but just by reading the start and ending of the passages. 😊 But this does not work all the time but first try to find by this way.
I am from Bhutan, thank you so much for your teachings. Your teaching helped me in many ways, but i want to learn more regarding reading madam. Please me in Heading Matching, Matching Paragraph, Matching information and so son....
Everyone suggests that we should look for matching heading first and then it will be easy to find other's answers. But you are just the opposite, why ?
The worst part of reading is the answers are needed to be transfered back to back in the question booklet and even in the answer script, as we won't get extra time to transfer those answers in the main script like listening.
I have found reading much more challenging. Although I practiced too much my results reaching at band 6.What should I do in prder to improve my reading
Instead of skimming try scanning I had same problem but my teacher told me to atleast remember what the paragraph is about so when there's a question related to it you can go through that and find your answer.

So in other to match headings more faster and correctly she advices that you answer other related questions to the passage before going back to the task( matching headings) .
