Hi from Grenada we are experiencing heavy rain with this tropical wave. 2” today so far. Beryl is looking more and more threatening to us as it’s moving due West along lat 10*. Remember Ivan? Beryl With its rapid Westerly motion of 20 knots it will pass by quickly. Hopefully we will be in the SE and SW quadrants so the wind will be less intense. Currently St Vincent looks like it will take a lashing.
This might end up being like hurricane dean for Jamaica. Just hope it doesn't hit us as a strong cat 2 or cat 3. Thanks for the update. Really proud of you Dani 🙏💯🇯🇲

Dani'i, given the projected path and the arrival time on Monday, a day after Sunday when most businesses are closed on most if not all of the southern Windward Islands, I think they should issue the watches and warnings earlier - like yesterday! What sense does it make issuing warnings on Sunday? How much meaningful preparation can people make on a Sunday in terms of buying food and buying hardware material to do minor repairs and/or boarding up, when most businesses would be closed?
The watches are usually given 48hrs or 36hrs from when impacts are anticipated but that comes with its disadvantages for certain because of the point in the week but hopefully enough places will be open so people can grab all the supplies they’ll need
