      Funny, I got 1:40 in and already had to turn the volume down due to the overproduction and loud ass background music when he said that Fury is at the peak of his career right now, which is patently false, and decided not to cringe through the rest of this mess. To each their own I guess...

    Onwards to February, I think the fight will go ahead.
    He did beat Klitschko back in 2015, and I was strongly routing for him then as I wanted to see someone finally dethrone a Klitschko after years of dominating the heavyweight division.
    Now, I want to see if Usyk can become undisputed champion; his dedication, his ring-craft, and general character traits, have won me over, and it would be great if he can see it through, especially since he became undisputed at cruiserweight, then a unified champion at heavyweight, dethroning Anthony Joshua.
    It's rare to see a talent of this quality, and they should be cherished whilst they are active.

      Fury is only a year younger than Usyk and he has more wear and tear due to his lifestyle and stylistic change. As much as I hate to say it, he isn't an elusive, slick boxer like he used to be, his legs have slowed down but he's 35, not 25 so it's not surprising.
      Fury from the first wilder fight would SCHOOL Usyk.

    • @LMGBoxFit
      @LMGBoxFit 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@GW_01 You're correct, I made the mistake of thinking Fury was at least a few years younger.
      then double checked to see that he was 35.
      He's definitely slowed down and changed style; arguably, the version that fought Klitschko was the best version (he was very fast on his feet, upper-body movement was very good too).
      I will digress on that he would have schooled Usyk, but he certainly would have been more tricky; the leaning back on the ropes for instance would have made him a hard target to hit upstairs. But Usyk has a very high ring-IQ, and will try to set traps, and adapt to Fury's tactics.

    Interesting fight if Fury is fit and ready. Usyk is brilliant. No question. Fury has enormous physical advantages. But can he impose them? I don't know. He has great skill for a big man but how much skill? He beat a late career Klitschko and beat Wilder but hard to know how good that makes him. Wilder was outboxed by every decent fighter he fought until he stopped them including a very old Luis Ortiz (in both fights) who also nearly stopped Wilder in their first fight. I was not surprised at all that Parker beat Wilder. But Wilder put Fury down multiple times. Has he faded or was he never that good? A much better Klitschko (in my opinion) lost to Joshua and was stopped. I say better because Fury told him exactly why he would lose and he was right and kudos to the Fury team for that. Klitschko was older and used to fighting smaller guys and had got into the habit of jab and grab and as Fury said you can't do that to me. Fury was right. Klitschko looked lost. Usyk sparred a prime Klitschko and was thrown out of Klitschko's camp because he was embarrassing him. That was sparring of course but Usyk was so dominant as to be asked to leave. Johnny Nelson witnessed this.

      "How will Usyk deal with Fury's immense mass and ability to disrupt opponents rhythm with clinches?"
      I think the question will be how will Fury's immense mass deal with a slicker, faster fighter who has even better movement than he himself had even at his (now distant) peak?
      I suspect the big man won't be able to lean on Usyk and take sneaky rests while tiring out his opponent. If that's the case, then Fury could be in trouble. A wonderful technician in his day, Fury no longer has the speed or the conditioning to match Usyk, so he's going to have to hope that being big is enough. It's the only advantage he has. It is, however, a big advantage.

    Oleksandr Usyk is the 1# heavyweight in the world!
    1. He is the WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO + Ring title Heavyweight World Champion / Tyson Fury is just the WBC champion.
    2. Usyk is the Ring Magazine 1# ranked heavyweight + Boxrec 1# ranked heavyweight / Fury is 2# ranked by both.
    3. Usyk have never run away from any major fight.
    4. Usyk has 2 out-boxing victories over Anthony Joshua + a knock-out over then WBA Interim champion and big puncher Daniel Dubois / Fury in same time span fought
    unrated journeyman Dereck Chisora for a unasked 3rd time in what Fury had previous two times demolished Chisora = completely waste of fight schedule time and another
    fight against an unranked boxing fight with former MMA champion Francois Ngannou, who back-fired greatly to escape with a controversial SD.

      @WarioSaysSo 6 месяцев назад

      @@richnewton7906 Well that all depends on how Fury "wins". If he wins by being a BOXER, and box inside of the rules and wins by a KO/TKO or making it clear it is his decision, then yes he would make a big jump.
      BUT if Fury use a lot of dirty fighting like leaning over Usyk a lot and put his body mass to drain him, holding/pushing and punching at same time, elbowing etc. then he will have stolen that "W".
      This goes for ALL boxers, just in this case Usyk is not known for fighting dirty while Fury is very known for using illegal tactcs.
      That is why I hope we will have a good/ referee in there who is strict to the rules and not accepting fauls.

    Fury went from prospect to World Class when he truly began to understand how to use his immense weight and size. He needs to constantly flick out the jab and when he falls in (which is inevitable) he must tie Usyk up and lean on him. But Usyk is the quickest heavyweight in terms of movement since peak Mike Tyson or a young Ali.

    I think it comes down to Fury’s mind set. If he is mentally well now, trains properly and is 100% committed to this fight, he will win, too big with a lot of skill. If he is not on it mentally, turns up not well trained, he will lose, probably on points.

      @@mathj3451 He is a class above AJ. He does not have the skill of Usyk but has the size of a true heavyweight with skill. If he is at his best he will smash Usyk. You will be able to tell in the build up and at the weigh in if his mind is right and if he has trained well, which alas is not a certainty because of his only weakness, his well documented issues. Only Fury will dictate who wins this fight, if he is right, he is far too big and powerful (and with more skill than any other heavyweight bar Usyk) for Usyk and will prevail.

He decided to go on a massive drinking binge instead. Then he had the trilogy with another overhyped heavyweight in wilder. I'm not even going to get into his massively padded record to get labelled the hardest hitter in boxing history. Hes going to get a shock if he comes in with his hit and grab tactic against Usyk because it's not going to work against someone with Usyks ring IQ. A top rate presentation and analysis. Imo as long as Usyk stays clear of Fury’s weight draining cliches and avoiding body blows (his only weakness) he could well win on points with his mastery of fitness and speed. Let’s not forget he shares the same height, weight and reach (and incredibly the same birthday- 17th January) of Mohamed Ali in his prime when fighting Foreman who many thought at the time would demolish Ali, and we all know what happened there. Fury though is at the top of his game too, and is very skilful in the art of deception as well as his ability to not only shift styles, but continually create the unexpected. No fighter is unstoppable though as reflected to what happened with Wilder. No question that this is the fight of the century so far, and could well create another trilogy, possibly even surpassing the Wilder/Fury trilogy.
    Exciting Heavyweight boxing times and at last there will be an undisputed Heavyweight champion.

      AJ had his chances in the rematch but was afraid to fully go all out against Usyk. It's the only way you can beat the man is to literally brawl with him & box in close. Chisora did this Usyk did not like it.
